No one can say for certain that RDM would've achieved better results than RB has done - all we are doing is speculating/projecting. RB has performed worse than RDM points-wise, but who says the early season performances were not a false dawn? The downward trend had already started with RDM, maybe RB accelerated that trend, or maybe he even slowed it down.
