Liverpool and their hard luck with injuries at crucial times. Firmino missing out is going to be a huge blow both against Barca and in their final PL game. He's the one who holds that attack together and acts as the conduit between salah and mane and they clearly missed him against barca. Salah too won't be fully fit. So if they had a huge task against barca, it just got bigger.

Balon dOr is an individual award, There's no way Messi will not win this year award regardless of whoever win ucl cuz no other player in the world has perform more than him individually. 34 League goals, 12 ucl goals. His 90+ goals in a calendar year in 2012 disqualified any other player from the teams that played in ucl and Euro finals(Bayern,chelsea and Spain).

Ronaldo and Messi have changed and took football to another level, in the 90s &early 20s players of Iniesta quality should have won Atleast 1 balon dOr,this is a player that won World Cup, ucl, euro and every other trophy winnable in football world but these legends made him look ordinary with their individual performance. 1. No player can ever play football with EASE the way Messi does

2. No footballer can ever win the Ballon d'or 4 times consecutively like Messi Did.

Messi is the greatest. The only players I know that were roughly on the same level as Messi in terms of talent were Delima Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, George Best, Pele and Diego Maradona. George Best and Maradona played exactly like Messi. Apart from Pele, Messi surpasses all of them in achievements since injury and personal lifestyles destroyed them.
