Just finished The OA, still can't get the hang of what i just watched, and i thought Westworld was confusing.
There are many theories online giving alternate explanations on how the finale ended, But i believe Prairie is telling truth, even though some will argue she's bat-shit crazy,Homer is real and that FBJ dude planted those books.

Apparently the story is taking place over several dimensions and everything you saw was from the perspective of the five and not OA's direct recollection (thats apparently why french had that homer moment)

For her to say the demand for black market dollar is unneccessary and bloated is just idoitic

They is REAL demand for FX but i guess she has never been connected to the real reality of our demand and supply so

I blame YouTube, I was minding my own business when the advert came up and I was hooked. Never read the books, I didn't even watch the Jim Carey film sef. How convenient that Netflix released it today - I only watched this ad at 3am this morning. Damn you Netflix!

In the video named Lekki gay, a gay man, played by well-known actor and comic Ogusbaba, is seen lying in bed at home looking at his mobile phone when a visitor comes to the door. The visitor is enthusiastically welcomed in - but has unexpectedly brought two heavies along with him, who confront Ogusbaba's character about his sexuality and use threatening language towards him.

As the video draws to a close the gay man is held down on a bed while the other three men threaten to sexually assault him.

The video - which emerged at the end of November last year - was recently reposted on a gossip page on Facebook. There it went viral, and has been viewed more than 390,000 times.

Ogusbaba insists that the skit "is just to make my fans laugh and to promote my tour."

"I have my own views about LGBT people," he tells BBC Trending. "It's strictly personal, I have nothing against them."

But prominent gay rights activists have condemned the video.

They include Nigeria's first openly gay pastor, Reverend Jide Macaulay, who was forced to flee the country in 2008 after receiving death threats for his work setting up safe spaces for LGBT Nigerians to worship in.

"The Ogusbaba comedy glorifies and glamorises homophobia. What he is effectively saying to his followers is 'go out and assault gays and let's laugh about it' - this is not funny," says Macaulay, who has launched an online petition calling on Ogusbaba to stop promoting hate crimes against LGBT Nigerians.

"We have documented many cases of violence against unsuspecting gays who meet people via social media or other means and simply agreed to a date or sexual encounter. Social media is being used to entrap gay men," he says.

Sexual rights advocate Bisi Alimi - who was the first Nigerian to openly declare his sexuality on national television, which led to death threats and his resulting move to the United Kingdom - believes the motivations behind Ogusbaba's sketch are clear.

"He [Ogusbaba] wanted it to go viral. He knew the average Nigerian would find it funny and share it," Alimi says. "He knew it would create controversy and be talked about."

To be candid the last episode was largely predictable and the bad guy was a complete buffon

It's seem more centered on invoking the effect of the supernatural dimensions than an intriguing plot actually... A single POV for a whole series is not a good series in my own opinion.

It takes quite a lot for sci-fi/supernatural series to impress me that much. I can hardly remember any offhand.

As for London Spy, I didn't get past episode 1, I was doing everything except actually watching the thing. Over 20 minutes had past and BBC iPlayer was watching me.

She was describing the last scene.... she's talking to the FBI guy about her dream where its a place with a lot of window and high roofs, also sometime else in the show when she says she heard something like the clinging of silverware, all that represents the cafeteria, and also the five cracks in the window show that the movements worked, and they all became one to send OA away to homer, and when Steve is looking at the ambulance and he looks up, you hear the whoosh sound hap was talking about in the beginning of the show, there is a lot to it, more than many people think

if anything, its a sign of their spiritual connection and more coincidental magic. they all work up that day, the day that matters unbeknownst to them, and all wore the same color. thats their connection creating a "coincidence". Just like if her stories of magic werent actually true, they created Real Life Magic in the form of bringing them together in the right place for the right thing at the right time

Dude....now you are grasping for straws . So Hap used the other guys to travel to this dimension to stop a gunman from killing some kids he dosent know and getting himself stuck here where he can be easily arrested

cao: POV storywise is clearly from OA, when she's telling the story, but it makes you wonder how she knows certain POVs (eg Hap & his colleague's story), which of course makes you wonder if she's making it up, which does help in making the viewer doubt themselves. There are times it felt like proper BS - the writers trying to tell us a story, but using style/weirdness over substance. Some of the boys could have been more developed (eg the stoner). But, those final 10 minutes of episode 8 can make you feel like you just wasted your time.

Actually the writers (Bret Marling and Zach) claim otherwise....apparently its the imagination of the boys and not OA's direct recollection which is even more ridiculous if you think about it. Apparently thats why 'french' had that homer transform moment

cao: Before anyone starts, I'm a fan of slow paced shows and even a bigger fan of weird sci-fi, in fact the only slow paced show of recent that I've hated was London Spy - I was bored off my tits and my body refused to pay attention. Anywho, like I've said a few times, episode 8 doesn't have a true payoff. I was actually quite annoyed when it was obvious I'd have to wait for season 2 for the payoff, now I understand why the ratings are less than 2.5 on Netflix. All in all, The OA is well acted, well produced, but it could have told a better story.

Couldnt go past episode 3.....very poor execution (Kill whatshisface and movie is over with no need to infect him and all the other bruhaha that came along with that)

Sidebar 2: For anyone who's been on the fence with Travelers. I've enjoyed it so far, the only reason I haven't finished it - I've been reading ebooks and been distracted by my endless rewatch of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. B99 is my go to sleep material, which doesn't always lead to actual sleep. Seriously, every time I finish, I immediately start it again. Without fail.

She made us believe she was special (Was she?). Every subsequent episode became better than the last.... Not until the last episode.

The movement ish made sense cos that was the only way they could leave their cell (She knew this when she attempted to escape). Both had to code the moves o their back so as not to forget it. The 5th move was the ultimate, u could transport urself to any dimension.

Inspiration comes from when homer keeps trying to remember what he learnt from the other side and yet fails for years.

Episode 8 is very symbolic (just like the last episode of Westworld) It answers so many questions and leaves u with many questions.

I partially agree with the bolded.....If you remember she told the FBI guy that her re-occuring dream was in a place with high glass and the sound of cutlery....Also they was a bit about a mass shooter on the loose

My issue with it is that the execution was just darn stupid....My reaction at the last scene was initially a sarcastic clap followed by a WTF

I have been discussing the idea that we live in a simulated reality for some time: an illusion of sorts.

But, even if true, just how could we ever know such a thing?
There are a number of interesting takes I would like to discuss regarding this.

Let me however open with a quote I picked from another Forum:

Won't the bolded require that the conscious subjects are somehow experiencing the illusionary world through a link from the real world? If the individual in the simulated world is not linked to the real world but is rather ''lab rats in an experiment'' Does this make his self-awareness any less real? Does this make their awareness a quasi-conscious state?

I think it is important that we fully understand TIME and LIGHT as i believe these two will provide clues as to whether we live in a simulation or not

Firstly, What is Time? Not the denominated fragment that man has structured to provide some sort of order in chaos. As far as present scientific advance is concerned we dont actually know what time is. When does time progress? Does time flow or does it morph instantaneously? Is time an entity that can be harnessed and manipulated? If yes, then i think it will be a strong evidence we live in a simulation.

Is the expansion of space creating new time? is the multiverse theory the answer? Are we living in a real world that is constantly branching out due to our choices?

Secondly, what gives light its characteristic speed? Will we ever develop good enough tech to observe the boundaries of our expanding universe (This will depend on us being able to manipulate light)?
