However, I was advised that in my case, it is not necessary to have POF since it’s a fully funded study. Nonetheless, I could have a reasonable amount to show cash flow, in&out of my account which I could submit along with a visa support letter from my institution.

Thanks for the insights. It makes sense to have some reasonable cash flow anyway as one would need a significant amount to move and initially settle in another country. May i ask, is this visa support letter different from the offer letter from your institution showing you have a fully funded scholarship?

Quick one, I started my visa application to Ireland about 5 days ago and I'm suppose to book an appointment with VFS with my required documents in place.
My question :
1. How long does this process take because I'm expected to resume by February?
2. For a scholarship student, do I still need that huge amount of money in my account for finance evidence?
3. Can someone put me through on how the application process work?

Are applying CSC or self funded? See here: http://iso.hust.edu.cn/Scholarships/Chinese_University_Program_CUP_.htm then go to CSC website and apply

Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in charge of authentication documents for foreign purposes

Did you travel down to Abuja for the foreign affairs ministry verification or did you do it in Lagos? And how Long did it take?

You can do MFA authorization within a day and you dont need to embassy own

As I checked online, the distance from Hangzhou airport to zhegiang sci-tech university which is my school is just 30minutes by car. Do I need to take train? Or is it because train is cheaper?
Please shed more light

Trains are usually cheaper and obviously the weight limitations are not too strigent

God bless u for your comment here ..I think I am the only one getting all this information that alots of ppl are giving on this tread .I was in church gate VI last week Thursday , they lady at the visa centre gave me a check list and no police character on the check list and she didn't say authentication is a must ...

Can you please snap and post the checklist here?

Anything cheaper will have multiple stops and local flights within China will likely incure high extra baggage costs....

Now the big issue is that Egypt air get in around 3-4:30pm and the last train leaves 7:35pm. Is that enough time for a newbie to clear customs and get to the train station? I doubt it

They are directs flights from Guangzhou to Hangzhou with a China Southern flight leaving at 8:35pm being 700 yuan (Economy with conditions eg Baggage is only 20kg)

Where is your school? Lagos to Guangzhou on Egypt Air is around 216k so maybe look at that option. High speed train connects most major cities so you might be able to save money.

Police clearance is 10k from Police HQ and will take almost a week

Anyway, I have authenticated all my documents at high court except that police report and that lawyer said I dont need to take those documents to ministry of foreign affairs again. I dont know how true is that bro

Foreign affairs authentication is 300 per document and you can do it in a day

My document tracking number start with CT and it is not valid on EMS site. Meanwhile it was stated on that portal that it is EMS

They have posted your documents? Sometimes EMS contracts the courier to a smaller company. Be Patient!!!
