I want to believe you read my opening sentence Sir.

jnyuwa02:

You didn't answer the question. Prior to your denial when you ordered your GCMS notes, did it say eligibility passed? If no, then Abiodunne's case cannot be like yours. Yes, all the mail you send are stored in your GCMS notes, so folks avoid sending them mails too much, it may convey you as too desperate and lead to a denial.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Moadejimi: 7:52am On Oct 12, 2017
Ditto. Upfront medical though.

Abiodunne:

I meant what was your eligibility saying on the notes you ordered? Did you do upfront medicals?

Eligibility in view according to the notes applied for in Aug and requested by atip in september. But received a refusal yesterday on not being able to pay my fees despite making a full tuition payment with extra 1k cad in my student account and also housing deposit before applying for the visa in May.

He should keep praying, his case won't be like mine by God's grace. I just shared what the counterfoil query and answer means.

Pls y'all, avoid sending CIC messages if not necessary, all the messages I sent them appeared in my notes. They actually see the messages.

jnyuwa02:

Your note also said eligibility passed? What was the outcome of your application, refused or approved? Trying to figure out because Abiodunne's message even saying eligibility passed, the current status online says they are processing his background check and will let him know if information is required.

On my portal, eligibility in review and medical passed.

Don't fret, just keep praying, we can't have the same case.

Just don't relax, intensify your fasting and prayer.

Abiodunne:

Please what was your eligibility saying? And were you called for medicals or you did an upfront medical?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Moadejimi: 9:44pm On Oct 11, 2017
Bro, please don't relax or assume, I ordered for my notes prior to the decision from CIC, and the same query and answer is in my note. Just keep praying. When I asked a knowledgeable person in Canada, I learnt it means you are not from a visa exempt country and a counterfoil would be required upon approval of your trv.

Pls, keep praying.

Abiodunne:
I got my GCMS note yesterday. Please what does this mean? Shey make I start to dey book flight ni?

Explain the source of the money and back up with necessary documentation.

Alantobie:
Hello guys. So I just received my gcms note and from reading it, just a silly mistake stopped me from going to Canada this fall. The note said that bank statement show recent lump sum deposits of unknown source. I checked the bank statement submitted and saw that yeah 5 million was transferred to the account some days before I submitted. So please what is the solution to this issue? All the gurus in the house I need your help.

"...your attention is required..."
From what is clear to me, it's an interview.
Go prepared, brace yourself well with possible answers regarding your application; purpose of visit and so on.
Just go as though your are going for an American visa interview.
I wish you luck.

Quick one pls.

What would be the fate of the person that gets his visa approval after the school's absolute resumption date?

For those that have ordered their gcms notes, please,
for the IMM5744E form, must one print and sign with ink, scan and send or one can just ignore the signature part just as the other online imm forms filled?

. 1. Ask your department.
2. Resume to when deferred or ask your department if you can cancel deferment and resume immediately.

Who are you? Well said, you just made my day.

Thank you.

SURGEE:
DEFERMENT OF ADMISSION

The actual thing i would expect anyone looking to defer an admission do is to:

1. Contact your Graduate Admin Coordinator to ask: 'What date will most likely be the deadline
for your resumption after lectures have been initiated?
,' while you are still waiting for a decision from CIC.

2. Ask, 'If push comes to shove and maybe you haven’t gotten a decision from CIC after this deadline, can you possibly defer your admission to Winter 2018?'

.....Yes!!! We all know you can defer your admission, but hear it from them as they might even have other entry options that may come in handy.

In my case, when i asked the first question, the answer was that if i can get my study permit and register before the middle or end of October, i would be allowed to still enroll for fall. the Graduate Administrator also stated that i can even get an extension of the my letter of acceptance's expiration date if i do request for it. However, if i do not get any response from CIC by the end of October i can now request for a deferment of admission.

So please talk to your Graduate Admin Coordinator. He or She will love you help you out. Remember they went through rigour, processing countless applications before they even gave you the admission in the first place so they wouldn't want to just loose you as such!

...........It is well!!!

.........Please dont be afraid to ask?!! it is the safest way to be clear on any doubt!!

In order news, .....they that sow in tears shall reap in Joy!!

Joy is around the Corner!!

Thanks sir.

jnyuwa02:

Yes possible. Just be in communication with school and keep them posted on what is happening. After deferment and you got approved, is all good and dandy. You attend the term you deferred for. You can even travel to Canada and chill there weeks before the term starts.

Good evening,

Is it possible to defer an admission two weeks into the semester?

Also, what would be the fate of a person that got an approval after deferment?

Thank you.

Then, put any of your friends you would have access to in Sask. U don't have any problem, it would be updated on your paws acct. once they receive the deposit.

wealth360:
Thanks man. I have my TRV already resuming this September. I just want to make tuition payment through FORM A. That's y am asking for the process.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Moadejimi: 3:29pm On Aug 17, 2017
Do you have relatives or friends in Canada you can trust with your funds? If yea, it's best you use one coz of the ease of transfer to their accounts God forbid the visa approval goind sideways. At least, that's what I did. Just fill the International students form stating the person's required details then print and append your signature, scan and send to the bursary e-mail.
I made the mistake of using my online signature which wasn't approved, so take the earlier explained route.

LLB again? Or LLM?

jnyuwa02:

Totally wrong? Okay. These VOS don't care what degree you go for? Okay. What is the the reason then why people going for PHD have very low to virtually no denial rate for TRV? They are taken to be very serious scholars whose purpose of visit borne by experience, has always been well defined. I am not saying anything is a walk through the park. Anyone who undertakes this journey of going through this TRV pursuit in my opinion, is to be commended. I am not saying PGD don't get approved. I am saying their uphill battle is the more uphill one. In comparison to masters and PHDs students vying for a visa. Someone with a law degree going for a PGD asked me and I felt a logical progression is an LLB for them. We have seen too many people run into problems with obtaining TRV who had first degree, instead of applying for a master's, going for a PGD. Low GPA should not mean we settle for PGD. Please search more better, there are programs spread across the country you will be surprised you can get into. I have analyzed the common perception on those going for PGD. Yes the onus lies with each candidate in dovetailing their applications no matter what course of study to show their eligibility for a TRV. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating. PGD is the more uphill battle on getting a TRV. My opinion is not to discourage anyone, but to guide and steer away from potential pitfalls. It is better to be safe than be sorry. By all means though, if you feel strongly about the PGD program and feel you can compellingly make a case for visa as some have, follow your gut instincts.

You could apply for a less competitive Msc program related to your Law. Don't mind anyone saying 2.2 can't get an Msc admission, at least, I sabi two people now.
You could as well do a PGC course in any College, Humber and co.

Never give up.

If you have a good case why you need the undergraduate degree, you have a chance. Otherwise, it will be difficult especially when you don't have direct prior activity(ies) in human resource management. Nothing is impossible, the onus is on you to make your case convincingly.

I haven't as well, so, I asked an Immigrations Representative in Canada, here is her reply:

"That's why I said this year is very different. I can explain the disorderliness in a bit.

Sometimes if they pick 10 apps and distribute among 10 VOs, each CO works at different speed and each app has different level of complexity. If VO9 finishes,

So as I was saying before, if VO9 finishes app 9 then he'll get another app from another batch, say app 11, even though apps 1-8 are still under review with the other VOs. If VO9 is fast, or keeps getting easy apps, he might be working on app 19 whereas app 1 is still under review with another VO.

I hope you get my drift. So in part, that explains the seeming disorderliness.

Meanwhile some app sef go give other plenty headache. Too many things to verify, applicant don travel all over the world, many countries to check for security or immigration breaches, docs are in a different language, requiring translation verification, too many docs and sponsors and bank statements etc.VO sef go just park that one small. Or medicals or employment need clarification etc. They are only humans too.

Well, you know say naija no dey carry last. A # of previous students too misbehaved after getting visa. Some claimed money they didn't have and then couldn't pay tuition. Some just never showed up at school cos they had other motive anyway. All those things are tracked and compared amongst countries that apps are coming from. Then they make more stringent conditions in subsequent years for specific countries if need be "

End quote.

I hope this explains it.

abestine:
At least some people still get update, what's going on with people who haven't gotten any update since submission? Did the system crash or some application are intentionally not tended to? God please intervene, school resumes in less than a month and there are lots of things to put in place before travelling which is centered on the outcome of this TRV application... The VO's here should please make people's dream come through and not kill it... Good morning everyone and wishing all of us expecting approval God's favour

Good evening all.

I'm new to this platform and I joined because I have a question for those that have applied for study permit against fall 2017.

Is it normal to have applied submitted one's application since May 12th having done upfront medical and hasn't gotten any form of update on his mycic account as shown in the pic below? Coz I'm in shock even the medical done on the 5th of May hasn't been update.

Thank y'all
