In as much as you re trying to save cost, don't end up making a mistake you ll regret forever...what you just came up with is very poor in terms of functional requirements i.e look at how the toilet and kitchen door is directly overlooking the living room...this your sketch i must say is very badly arranged ( just criticizing it )...you don't just come up with anything you like, as this is were you ll be living.... contact an Architect and save your self costly errors

What I am trying to do is to cut cost by any means. I believe with that amateur plan up there, I can still at least get a rough quotation of materials needed. Like number of blocks, to use, number of bags of cement to use and other materials.

Today makes it 5 days since the first batch of the cucs were planted.
I'm intrigued by the results so far and I also thank God for the rains. It's been timely.

Had a day filled with activities on the farm. I planted the rest of the farm, I must say it requires a determination and hardwork to excel in farming.
At this point, let me add that I plan to plant a little bit of tomato more tho I have around 150 stands of tomato already fruiting. I might open another thread for that later on

there is no special method of planting ugu except your plant spacing and staking which will be a game changer,I don't see the need to involve and waste my time and energy in any crop that is not high value,why doing ugu while I know pepper, tomatos,eggplant ,melon has almost similar maturity vperiod or cucumbers that have even less,I look at ugu farming as a job for retired pensioners and women, farmers like us need serious challenges with vegetable crops that give farmers nightmares.

The beauty of cuke is that it is a short term crop. So no need to rush. But if u can afford any loss, then go ahead.

Believe me, starting big is one way of frustrating oneself. If u are new to anything, start small and grow big. I suggest op start with half plot.

I sprayed the already sprouted seeds with cypermethrin based chemical and fungicide...

With the help of the guy, we were able to plant almost half of the place.
Although his holes were smaller, the only issue is that I will need to apply manure more frequently.
