Actually, I started mine mid-last year 2019 around July.


On a thousand bird, average profit ranges between 200 to 300k. This range largely depends on price of DOC, price you sold the live weight per kg, price and quality of feed, FCR of the birds and other environmental factors.

Estimated average yearly revenue can be roughly estimated as calculating the number of cycles you would have in a year multiplied by the average probable profit.

I switch between day 18 to 21 when they must have finished the amount of starter budgeted for them.

There is no way you will make 200k or 300k in a cycle, where Doc is sold for 500 to 600 naira per bird and feed per bag is sold for 5000 to 6000 naira per bag (professional).. Provide your cost of production then I provide mine and let everyone see the light, you can proof me wrong. Don't let mislead intending investors.

I don't think the cycle he was referring to he bought DOC at 500...and prices of feed only recently got to 5000....location also matters....I think its very possible on a thousand birds...my last cycle I made close to 60000 on 300 birds sir.
a cycle can be 4wks,6wks,8wks or even 3months...it depends on your choice as a farmer and the interval in between before restocking a new set of DOC.

Bolaji have always respected you when started this thread, and I know how much knowledge have shared with you concerning the pen construction, wind direction, netting and other things which is best professionally to do commercial broiler production which I currently do and do for people to the level of farm construction and setup, raising the birds till maturity, selling the birds to offtakers, chicken processing plant setup both automatic and manual, retailers outlet setup and sales and marketing of the chickens, but I see you do not like to be criticised which is what I think you should allow in other to learn from different point of view or angle, but if it has gotten to the stage of insults from you I guess this is where I back out of this thread and respect myself cos I don't want it to generate into something else. 60k on 300 birds is too poor.... I make 40k per 50birds.....
