The next phase of the construction is the flooring and laying of two coaches of blocks around the pen.
I want to construct in such a way that it will just be one coach of block above the foundation to allow fresh air get in touch with the birds.
The work will start by Monday by God's grace, the bricklayer was on farm last week and gave d ffg quotations;
Gravel - 4 tipper loads
sand - 1 tipper load
Cement - 40 bags
Blocks 6" - 350 pcs

And so I dedicate this thread to the Almighty God, the Alpha and Omega; to only Him be all the glory.

As a young graduate from a federal university in Nigeria, I've battled and won a lot of battles both physical, spiritual and emotional.
To say the least being a jobless graduate is not only tiring but highly suicidal as you will see a lot of oppression either from friends from rich background whose parents have the connect or from your gee friends balling really hard.

To this end, Man gats look for a way out and find a lasting solution. As a graduate from an agricultural school, I've always had passion for agriculture (animal) but as we all know this requires huge capital hence, getting capital is a huge challenge to face.
Luckily for me within the space of 3 years, I was able to raise a quite amount of money as capital and also acquire 2 plots of land in a remote area precisely in Ibadan.
I've got interest in broiler production esp the six weeks production.
This is a call to experts and experienced farmers in the house to please help a brother in need with ideas where needed and correct me wherever I'm erring.

So I started with the construction of the pen. I plan on having a pen that can raise at least a thousand birds till table size so I went for a pen dimension of 40 by 50 ft housing.
Hence, it will be deep litter housing type.
Contacted my carpenter for quotations for major materials and I got the ffg;
3 X 4 wood - 40pcs
2 X 4 wood - 150pcs
2 X 3 wood - 250pcs
Bokoharam net - 10 bundles
Nails
Roofing sheets 15bundles
Chicken net 1bundle

And so the following week we got them all at the plank section of the Bodija market in Ibadan and so construction started immediately.

Wow! What a piece.
Took my time to digest all d 17 pages...
Well, I think to cut cost, I might go for rebuild/repair if d cost isn't too much sha! It's still functioning at let's say 65% efficiency, just that it has been abused by previous owner, I'm just trying to bring her back to life. So the parts that might need replacing might not be that much/expensive.

Heck no will I be spending over 100k rebuilding an engine when I can buy a good tokunbo for 75k.
But I'd still like to know d price of d engine still.

* engine seal (complete)
* Timing belt
* Water pump
* Timing belt tensioner
* Transmission oil
* Powersteering oil
* Wash p/s reservoir
*flush and replace brake oil
* air filter
* Check brakepads
* C.V joint booths

You should be looking at about a little under 300k.

I just got a 1998 Honda civic. The previous owner has been using Total oil. I discovered that the car brings out a light blue smoke in d morning when first started. Sir;
1. I'm thinking of changing the oil to a better one with good grade. What should be my approach to the oil change and how should it be done?
2. Is there any other possible remedy to halt the smoke since its just starting?
