Miss Glory Brown a 23 years old graduate of History and International Relations from Abia State who represented Rivers State beat off 10 other delegates to emerge as the winner of Miss Celebrity Nigeria 2016.

The event which took place in heartbeat of Portharcourt on the 25th of June 2016 witnessed massive turn up as celebrities and high profile personnel graced the maiden edition of the prestigious pageant event.

The Miss Tourism Nigeria organization has announced the sudden demise of Maureen Onu , Miss Tourism Ebonyi 2016.
Maureen who is a finalist for this year edition of Miss Tourism Nigeria pageant which is set to take center stage on 9th July.She kicked the bucket after a brief illness earlier last week.
Addressing newsmen after the shocking incident,Mr Santiago Roberts, CEO of the Miss Tourism Nigeria Organization has this to say “its really painful as the brand has lost a true and a great gem; Maureen was one of the brightest who was always prompt to carry out instructions/tasks giving and willing to learn; she was looking forward to representing her state with pride during this year’s finals and with the hopes of becoming the first ever national tourism queen from ebonyi state.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.

Modelssphere team recently chatted with Ifunanya Igbobi, owner and creative director of rising Nigerian femalewear brand Weckx Design.Ifunanya is a seasoned fashion editor/stylist turned designer whose works of fashion imagery have graced the covers of editorials such as Four Wall Magazine and RedSheet Magazine.Her vision for the brand goes beyond finely tailored suits as she seeks to “redefine Africa’s sartorial identity.”
In this interview, we discuss her foray into the world of fashion, the challenges she faces as a female wear designer and the future of the Weckx Design brand.

Modelssphere:Hi Ify, tell us a bit about yourself.

CEO of Weckx design _intl::My name is ifunanya Emmanuella lgbobi, I hail from Anambra state,Ihiala local government.Am presently a student of unilag studying sociology,a model, a two time ex-beauty queen,pan african ambassador, the Ceo of weckx design_intl, a business Consultant and a Social worker and as well a multiple award winner.
Modelssphere:How did you get into fashion ?

CEO of Weckx design _intl :I think its natural, I love fashion and creativity alot, I love simple dresses but at the same time unique, fashion runs deep in my blood, I guess that's why I contested for a pageant,I Won and was crowned Queen miss fashion nigeria 2014

Modelssphere: How did u come to start your own fashion line ?

CEO of Weckx design _intl :I unveiled my brand on 15th of october 2015. First all I used this medium to enpower the female genders in the society, I gave out 25 dresses from my brand to the less privilege at special correctional centre for senior girls idi raba a week after my designs were unveiled, I saw how eager they were to learn and the zeal they had for greatness,it gave me more sense of purpose. My life is all about fashion and style so Weckx design_intl was built on that.

Modelssphere: Tell us about your most recent collection?
CEO of Weckx design _intl::Aww!!!That should be a surprise, but I will give you a hint on it. Weckx design_intl is all about defining african beauty, we make feminine dresses that would suit your skin as well your body figure but we have collections of shoes and handbags.I guess with this little hint you can figure it out yourself #Smiles#

Modelssphere: How would you define your design aesthetic?
CEO of Weckx design _intl ::I love Coral beads a lot, Dinner wear dresses are the basic of my designs and almost all of my dresses comes with beads.Casual dress,Bum shots, shoes and handbags.

Modelssphere: Where do you go for inspiration?

CEO of Weckx design _intl :I love going to the pool, a private and quite place, it gives me this sense of joy and purpose as well hanging out with my colleagues and loved ones encouragess me a lot . Most times am always busy either with school or a business meeting.

Modelssphere:: How would you describe your fashion style ?
CEO of Weckx design _intl : simple and classic.
Modelssphere : What has been your greatest challenge(s) as a fashion designer ?

CEO of Weckx design _intl :it would be the recent inflation of goods and commodity in the country today, the change of stock market and Dollar change. And as well dealing with un trust worthy people.

Modelssphere:So where do you see yourself in the next five years?
CEO of Weckx design _intl :Five years is a long time,two years should be okay for me by GOD infinite grace, I see Weckx design_intl going global.
Am working on a project which will involve the likes of ex lagos state governor and prime minister Honourable,SAN Babatunde Raji fashola, a fashion icon known as Modella,CEO's and Managers of different Organisations and a few other personnel I won't mention their names for now. And as well Models and Beauty queens of different pageants by GOD's grace I see this project surfacing this year or Next

Deshauna Barber took home the coveted crown at the 2016 Miss USA pageant on Sunday, June 5, beating out runner-up Miss Hawaii Chelsea Hardin and second runner-up Miss Georgia
Barber Is an Army Officer
The newly crowned Miss USA is a logistics commander for the 988th Quartermaster Detachment Unit of the United States Army in Fort Meade, Maryland. She is also an IT analyst for the United States Department of Commerce and plans to use her reign as Miss USA to focus on PTSD treatment for soldiers returning from the war.
Barber, whose parents and siblings also serve, joined the military at age 17, according to the
Washington Post . Her father was deployed to Iraq following the September 11 attacks in 2001.
“I consider it to be a family tradition,” she said during a preshow interview. “It’s something that runs through our veins — patriotism and service for this country.”

It was certainly a memorable event as Face of Culture Africa 2016,Queen Jennifer Okechukwu mark children's day in Abuja in grand style.

The highly reserved beauty Queen who has been at the leading edge of promoting peace/love through her numerous pet projects visited the city refuge orphanage home located at area 1,Abuja to celebrate the epic event with the lil children.
items and lots of gifts were distributed to the kids as they all had fun and dance in amusement.

As a staunch believer in the value of education,the beauty queen additionally visited the children's pack were she gave two standout students (Adeshola (9yrs) kingdom history Pri 3 and John Adeshola (8yrs) kingdom background Pri 2)scholarships and promises to constantly visit them to make sure they are progressing in the right direction.

The beauty queen,earlier last week,unveiled her project campaign which was covered on the page 9 of the nations newspaper and has gone on to accomplish it.

Face of idoma carnival, Queen Ashley Yusuf was involved in a terrific motor accident along deadly Lafia -Akwanga road in Nassarawa state on Tuesday 24th May 2016 while travelling from Abuja to Benue State for her Project to feed 500 Orphans this Friday on children day.
She was so unconscious for a while and after she regained consciousness, she narrated was she remembered.
According to her,the driver of the vehicle "Benue Links" with Registration Number MkD-270 XA which she boarded for her journey was driving at an overwhelming speed which they(the passengers) kept cautioning him but he persisted until one of the tyres pulled out and the car started somersaulting immediately.
The car was said to have somersaulted four times before landing on its back.
The trapped passengers were rescued by other passing vehicles plying the same route and rushed to the emergency ward of the nearest hospital for treatment.
Queen Ashley Yusuf sustained severe injuries and having excruciating pains.she is receiving treatment, recuperating speedily and has promised that her event will stil hold tomorrow.
Despite her present condition, nothing will hinder her from what she planned to do for the 500 orphans at Benue tomorrow.
We thank God for the miracle of life and we shall all come out to support her tomorrow.

The reigning Queen of Commonwealth Nigeria, Queen Beauty Istifanus celebrates another year on earth with a heart full of appreciation to God and loved ones. She started up her day with a visit to Royal Diamond Orphanage Home in Ikeja where she donated food items and cash as she does often, she was received at the Orphanage Home by the matron, children and other members of staff with great delight as a special birthday song was rendered for her by the children.
The birthday celebration was taken further later at night when Queen Beauty Istifanus' friends, family and other loved ones gathered to celebrate her at a classy lounge in the heart of Victoria Island, Lagos. The party was attended by many big shots in the society and wave making artistes who took turns to entertain the birthday Queen and all guests present. The likes of Kennis Music Top Act and the Gbemisoke crooner Joe El Amadi, Henry Knight, Bardon D of the "Guys From The North" fame, 2A Plus and M-Kaze.
Some of the top shots who came out to celebrate Queen Beauty Istifanus are Akinwalere Ayo, National Director of Commonwealth Nigeria Pageant, Eze Ndigbo of Ikeja and friends, Mr Olusola (Oil and Gas Magnate) and friends.
Speaking at the event, National Director of Commonwealth Nigeria Pageant, Mr Akinwalere Ayo expressed his sincere and heartfelt appreciation to everyone who made it out to celebrate with Miss Commonwealth Nigeria and request more supports for the Queen, her foundation (Queen Beauty Istifanus Foundation) and the Commonwealth Nigeria organization as she will be in London this November to represent Nigeria at the Commonwealth International Pageant. Mr Ayo also used the opportunity to announce the commencement of Registration of Eligible Contestants to compete for the Prestigious Commonwealth Nigeria Pageant 2016/2017 edition.
This edition planned to celebrate class and "wealth in beauty" will be in two categories of Miss Teen Commonwealth Nigeria and Miss Commonwealth Nigeria.
Queen Beauty Istifanus brought the party to it's climax through a vote of thanks to everyone who made it out to celebrate her special day most especially her family, her man, her Management, Eze Ndigbo of Ikeja and friends.
