I haven't heard of this story about Oshiomole paying for shaibu's school fees, but it has always been in my mind that even if oshiomole want to tender mercy. Shuaibu should be removed as deputy gov. and be replaced. Both obaseki and shuaibu dey vex me sef, they went too far !!

Google the APC Constitution. Article 13v says the NWC shall organize the primary for the position of President, Governor and National Assembly seats.
The Edo APC chairman and Obaseki are just trying to play the victim card.

But the Constitution did not state that NWC can choose mode of Primaries.

Obaseki has People who are not grass-root politicians. Those that can’t even win LGA election on their own and Obaseki has come to realize this in the last 1 month and that’s the reason he is running from Lagos to Abuja to beg those that have say in the party.
On the day of the primary election I can assure you that Obaseki will lost before 12pm because the forces against him are more than those with him. Also know that some of his loyalist will jump ship once it’s few days to the primary election, that’s if the election committee from Abuja did not disqualify him before the day of the election proper. Obaseki is going to conduct his own primaries.Edo is going the way of Zamfara.If Oshiomhole don't want Obaseki to go for 2nd term nobody wud go under APC

You got it wrong. Indirect primary is where a candidate will dictate the outcome of the election.
Direct primary is where all the registered party members line up behind their preferred candidate. This is done ward by ward.

What he meant was that Indirect Primary can be easily monitored unlike Direct primary.....the crowd wud be too much everywhere would be so rowdy.

There are 2 factions in Edo APC. The best way to go is Direct Primary. Even if the faction loyal to the Governor notified the NWC. It is the responsibility of the NWC to approve or choose another mode of primary. Let all of the factions participate in the Direct primary and let all the party members partake in the process of choosing the party flag bearer.

Where is it written in APC constitution.For I know that state chapters choose their own mode of Primaries and communicate same to NWC who then tables it at the NEC meeting for ratification.NWC has no say in the mode of Primaries.

I dont think it will work, Adams is not the only one involved in this matter, those other party guys can do some damages, this matter wouldn't have gotten to this stage if Obaseki had listened to the President, leaders of the party and even house of reps begged him to declare another proclamation to allow the state house of Assembly to be inaugurated properly but he refused. There is a certificate been shared online, and when you see it, it is FAKE.

The certificate stated that he graduated on the 3rd Feb from UST and the NYSC certificate is dated 2nd Feb, same year.

How is that possible?

That's why I said unless these certificates shared online is FAKE....If truly Lawrence is the owner of that certificate, he is toast.

Nysc corrections do not take long esp for a big man with abuja connect.why is he correcting it after all this years? I helped a friend correct hers once.it didn't take more than a month

The minor problem he has is that it’s a bit baffling that the NYSC would issue a certificate in 2019 to correct a mistake on a certificate of 1998 and retain the same reference number and the signature of an official who is no longer with the institution on the new certificate. It’s baffling.

It is even more baffling that the NYSC has watched the controversy for months and said nothing. Why couldn’t the NYSC use one tweet to say it issued both certificates. Simple. If the deputy governor is innocent, and we must assume he is, then the NYSC has not helped his cause by allowing rumours to fester.

November 2019, the PDP candidate, Diri, picked Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo as his running mate. Ewhrudjakpo submitted a new exemption certificate. The new certificate had the correct spelling of his name, had the same reference number as the old one, and was signed by the same Brigadier Dule who signed the first exemption certificate in 1998. The new one came on a diff erent sheet of paper.

It's obvious that the mistake in spelling was made by NYSC in 1998 and u know how these things go....the Deputy gov was not too keen on the correction until when this election thing came up.

The last I met Justice Sirajo was when he headed Adeleke Oyetola tribunal in Osun.He knows much about electoral acts and provisions in the constitution.My concern now is why the deputy governor apply for a change of spelling? Is it to maintain consistency in his name or for another purpose? It is clear he applied for the change but reason for the application was not given.Was it a collusion between NYSC and him for an evil means? It is logical for the court to ask him to bring the original copy .There must be a consistency in his certificate or else there is foul play in his name arrangement without any supporting affidavit.At any rate the deputy governor has to clarify his change of spelling of his name with a substantive evidence.If he is found guilty it will spell doom for their joint ticket.

All these talks are irrelevant,the fact remains that he started and completed his NYSC.This is a no case submission jare.

Obaseki shld accept any terms to allow him to go for 2nd term.After all he can always renege after winning the election.
