This is APC constitution section 13.5 xiv. Organize Primary Election forthe nomination of its Presidential Candidates, Governorship Candidates and Candidates for election into the National and State Assemblies.

Google the party constitution. Section 13 sub section vii point clear that the NWC will organize the primary election for President, Governors, National and state Assembly elections. Obaseki is gone.

But the decision on the type of primaries to adopted is to be made by the NEC of the party and not the NEC.. .. Oshio has shot himself on d foot.

Governor Obaseki needs to prepare for the direct primaries because when the scripts flip, he will be on the strong side up

Obaseki should learn from Imo and Ogun state where Inec only accept the names submitted by NWC of the parties. By sponsoring the state excos to go against the NWC directives will be his early downfall because by the time He will move from one court to another the time to submit and exchane names will have elapse.. As it is now the odds are not in Obaseki's favor. Interesting time ahead in Edo APC.

But NWC has erred by choosing the pattern of the primaries,they dont have the right to.The Constitution clearly states that it is the state chapters that can choose the pattern of primaries.
