If Obaseki was so sensible, I expected him to have left out the disputed record in his profile while submitting the party’s interest and nomination form.

The disputed record is his original copy of University of Ibadan certificate. This is a certificate greater than the least constitutional requirement of gubernatorial office holder, Senior Secondary Certificate Exam (SSCE)

It was already known that this original certificate would be used against him which he should have expelled from his profile since he has other qualifying options.

If he is bent on using the disputed certificate, he will be screened out of the primary and there is nothing he can do to remediate that since the judicial system is slow and may end up delivering the judgement after the APC primary election.

This was the same thing Aregbesola did when he wanted to contest for his second term in office, since his HND certificate has “coma”

This is what I feel transpired; Obaseki went to Asoro rock to see the president and he intimated him of his desire to contest and the challenges he is facing, especially the issue with the national chairman of APC. Then Buhari promised to look into it. The president then summoned Oshiomhole. Oshiomhole explained to the president his own side of the story and he emphasised on the House of Assembly inauguration. The president then instructed him to settle with Obaseki. The president also instructed Obaseki to make sure the issue Oshiomhole raised (the inauguration) is addressed. Hence the conflict resolution Committee.

And here we go! After the recent precedence set in the Bayelsa case, tell me who in their right minds would advocate for GNO to be the party flag bearer now? To all of you political neophytes claiming section 308 or whatever of the constitution; the goal of this suit is not to challenge the immunity of a sitting governor, rather to lay the legal basis to screen him out of the primary.

If this is true--the forgery case; then GNO better go to SDP, because even PDP will not even sell him their ticket. Think of it, while this was buried in 2016 because he had the backing of the APC political machinery behind him, that is not the case now. So even if he manages to win the primary and goes on to win the general election; there's no guarantee he would be sworn in.

Obaseki has a genuine result it's left for Osho.. to prove otherwise ....let him continue wasting his time.

The court will remove him and PDP will take over.

What I am trying to say is that bringing up this certificate case is to play on the psyche of the screening panel.
If that doesn't work it will play on the psyche of the direct primary voters.

All your comments shows that you’re not ready to learn aside what you read online. The reason why APC lost Zamfara is because the 2 state factions organized their indirect primaries separately. And the NWC has avoid what happened in Zamfara by going for Direct Primary so that all party members irrespective of the faction they belong to will participate in choosing the party flag bearer. Try and study the case of Ogun and Imo where their Governors organizes their own tomatoes against the decision of the NWC and INEC/Court didn’t recognize them. Obaseki knows that he is gone and that’s the reason he has been running to Lagos and Abuja to beg people to please on his behalf for soft landing but as it is now nothing can safe him.

Obaseki is a tough technocrat who knows his onions....ur Oshiomhole wud soon be dispatched to dustbin of his.
