President Jonathan said about three weeks ago that the system, 6-3-3-4, was the cause of drop in education standard. And yester, the government said they will revert to the old system, 6-5-4. My question is was that what caused the drop or the insensitivity of the government towards education and their selfish interest. They send their kids to schools abroad, I will be surprised if any minister or top government personnel children are schooling in this country. There are no motivation for the teachers, they are poorly paid, no books in the library, no equipment in the labs and we are blaming a system that added a year to the one previously used in secondary school. This is my opinion but will like to know what you think. |
Let us pray, In Jesus Name, May Erastus get fear hearings, may he face the full wrath of the law if found guilty. May he forfeit all he got illegally. May the soul of those that suffers from his illegality be saved and may they find joy again. He will not fall sick till his case is heard and determine. May our prayer be answered on him and his likes. May those things recovered from aunty C. Ibru be used to make this country better and not to some other thieves pocket. May Nigeria be a great Nation. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen. |
@tpiah your statement "i thought the thread was supposed to be about teenagers who were seduced by pastors due to their "innocence" and "naivete"", is wrong. The thread said "Have you ever been involved with a Pastor". Not as a teen or adult, not distinguishing btw married or single pastor, not as single or married person. I struggled with myself so long about this reply but just have to. I feel you should leave sojuicy alone as she responded to the thread. I don't really think we have the right to pass judgement on anyone. We all have our cases to plead. Whatever her reasons or excuses and that of the pastor should be left to be judge by the one who has the right to. Let us go back and search ourselves about those things we had done whether sexually or not and live right. |
@Father You have said it all. It takes two to tango. Except these men cheats with men then we can ask why they cheats. |
Thank you to God for He is always there. Thank you to my father for doing everything and more than what a father can do. He was always there for me but a pity he died when I really got on my feet. He was a wonderful man. Thank you to my Secondary school principal. He believed and he nurtured us. he did the pushing and his encouragement paid off. I will forever be grateful to him. God will give him fulfilment and peace. Some area brothers and friends are worth mentioning. My various bosses at work, they know themselves and my wife. |
I understand your frustration, I was frustrated too, nope, I am even frustrating now. I would have love to blame lars but something in me is thinking otherwise. Look at this scenario: IK was dropped because of injury but I watched the guy against madrid and he did not show any sign; if he was there Yakubu will not start. Emeramo was dropped because we need only one power striker but Victor was performing so here comes another injury scare, the guy played against Colombia and he was fantastic;make way for Yakubu. In all these, I don't see Lars making those decisions, the payer is dictating the tune for the piper. But what is Egu and Amokachi doing in that team? I will always lay most of the blames on the players. I watched Haruna against N. Korea and I thought, God thank you for making Mikel to have injury. He was moving forward spreading the passes, coming back to defend even though he overdo it resulting in infrigments but he was superb to watch. World cup proper, he was falling as if he was starved of food, loosing balls and making unnecessary fouls. Several times I watched Obasi in the league and I kept praying that he doesn't suffer any injury but see him at the world cup, disgrace. At the U20 and Olympics he was our star man or was it that there some guys warning in to watched himself in the team. Well, I wished we knew what went wrong but all in all we were just being patriotic, these guys except for 3 or 4 are bunch of loosers, playing on the bench or playing at second rated league. God will deliver us. |
@Poster I don't understand you and defending the bunch of overweight and overhyped Eagles and heaping the blame on the coach. You mentioned that the coach is defensive minded and I couldn't see that. In the first match we had Yakubu, Obasi and nsofor in attack, second match we had Kalu, osaze and Yakubu, the final match, we had yakubu, obasi and Kalu. I don't see these guys as defensive. Playing out of position? who? Osaze? He played on the left at the Nations Cup. Obasi scored his goal from the right against Egypt and Osaze scored one of his against Moz from the left. Leave the coach alone, the players had a lot to do. So Mourinho will teach Yakubu to score a sitter he missed yesterday or Martins with his own miss or tell Kaita to stamp on a player? With your future eagles, I hope some of them will not be using walking stick by then. How may played with their real age? Remember U17 captain. We need someone like Siasia, I agree but we need stability and free hands for the coach to work. Also we need to get commitment from the federation so that the players will be proud to wear our jersey. |
Na wa o. Osaze in a wrong position? Abeg, I no gree. He played this position against Argentina and it was not shown as wrong position. He played the right wing against Greece and he was nowhere to be found. Maybe his haircut disturbed him. I am disappointed by his interview as it shows that he is selfish and self centred. I don't blame him, it is the system that causes all this wahala. Well me I am not going to let his like mess up my watching the world cup. |
Messi scored zero goals for argentina despite playing all matches during qualification. He got booed at the stadium behind his house in Argentina against Brazil. Higuain had a better goal rate of one goal in 3 matches. Where were Aguero, Tevez and Millito during the qualifying matches. As an individual player in their respective clubs, they are wonderful because they have wonderful players supporting them. I am not taking anything away from them but it had never being on a platter of gold for Argentina to beat Nigeria and I don't see this one differently. I expect a good match but it will be okay if the referee do not fall to the antics of diving Argentines. For me, I will support my National team anyday. |
I like reading post on this forum and I discard some, agree with some and learn from some. On this post, I believe that there are so many things that must be considered. If the household allowance is for some provision and disposable napkin for the small boy and the wife is adding some, then it is fair on the guy. Let the wife continue to supplement. But if it includes food stuffs and the rest, then the man should do something about it. One way to make him realize that it is not enough is to let him accompany you to the market once and he will know how much more you spend. But a family biz is a family biz. whatever happens don't forget that it is all for the family. |
You will not know what you are capable of till you find yourself in that situation. There is a world of difference between an educated person and an intelligent one. Some of us here have parents that were not educated but they were literate and intelligent enough to send us to school and be what we are today. For you to be educated you should thank your start and your parents, there are many who wish but they couldn't. Will you rather have an educated, unintelligent, no-wife material than an uneducated, intelligent and a wife. It is easy for you to brush her up, for all the noise, it might be that she doesn't have a degree is the "educated" we are talking about here. Please make the right choice. |

I like this forum because everybody can air his/her view and it cannot be lord over anybody. Actually I want to point somethings out to some guys dropping names. Babel played in 2005 against Nigeria in the U-20, but they were beaten. Makaay couldn't make his country team to Euro cup, so I should start shaking. I was part of those that were shouting blue murder when Mikel was given the second best player of the 2005 U-20 WC, but I don't hold that position again when the other top players were improving he was doing yes-boy to Mourinho who spoilt his talent for his own selfish interest. Kanu for God sake was here during qualifiers for Atlanta 96 Olympics. He struggled throughout and God crowned his effort by winnong the gold and also by uplifting him more. Mikel for all I care doesn't have a place in this team. Even if we are beaten and out in the first round, I will still have a lot of respect for Siasia. Winning is not about everything but doing it in the right spirit. |
So much about this. It is like an everyday thing. But the truth is this, the married man has nothing to offer you. You are his pet and he can decide to sell you anytime. He is caring because you are not his wife. Let his wife tell you who he is, I bet you will not want to be in the same building with him. Just get yourself out of the relationship except you want to be a single mother. |
His name is Emeka Ezeala. |
I feel strongly that our problem is Berti Vogts. He took Okonkwo (the guy that came in for Kanu) to the Nations cup not because he was fantastic with his club nor for the country (judging by the friendly matches he played) but because they share the same agent. For God sake what is an agent doing on the bench. he lacks everything a coach needs to have, vision, match reading, good substitutions and good press briefing. Utaka did nothing on the field and he did not remove him until the 70th minute. The Ivorien coach saw that that his right wing back was having problem he substituted him immediately. But our own coach has players of good pedigree like Nsofor, IK Uche, Richard, Etuku and he brought in mediocres like okonkwo and Makinwa (what were they doing in Ghana sef). I don't see us doing anything than equaling our 1982 distrastrous outing if he continues with his manhandling of the team. |
