.What you people fail to understand is basic salary is different from total packages for the month.The 132k you are referring to is basic salary.their total packages may be around 250 or more.Any agency that collects above 100k as basic salary,then their pay is good

Exactly.From the official site of REA,NERC and Energy commission are sisters agencies.Years back i know someone that works with Energy commission (EC) and he had 1.5m as his housing and other allowances every January.I don't know if REA pay this kind of allowance.But EC is not popular at all, you won't even know they pay such allowances.NERC even pay More.

Its better to level 8 officer for a for top agency than to be a level 14 officer for ministry.

At the end na money be koko ( my opinion though but I understand its important to grow)

1. Your connect probably the highest G from Presidency will put a call to the CCE.
Your CV will be collected base on the call and that’s how you’ll also be on the queue till NUPRC is ready to invite all of you.
They don’t have stages of recruitment bcuz the vacancy wasn’t advertised. They always accept or receive recommendations even from a gatekeeper. Insider connection can help to an extent.

2. Should incase you want to send your recommendation letter, I learnt all correspondence is addressed to; “The Commission Chief Executive (CCE)”
and not Director General anymore.

My opinion:
I will advise you look for a strong connect before hopping.
