Good people hardly live long and I don't know why. Only time shall heal your pain but the memory might not go away. I lost my mum in 2017, no day passes without me dropping tears for her.

Sorry for your lost,bro I lost a very close buddy too about five months ago...he was such a nice guy,and was always there to give me advice whenever I was emotionally down.....dude and I attended the same polytechnic.....tho age wise,he was older than me but dude was the kind of down-to-earth guy,like too simple...I can't just forget how many times he bought food and provided me with t.fare to campus whenever I was broke....men,as I'm typing this,only God knows the pain his demise left in my heart....

like they say,death is inevitable bro.....that we all gonna die someday...so I've learnt how to move on after all my mom and my sister have both kicked the bucket...

You can only hold on to the fond memories, let that person you saw and admired in her reflect in you, and let that shape up your view towards humanity. Because I understand how you feel. The vacuum. I lost a friend this year. And I realized how much I loved her after she died we weren't as close months leading up to her death. So I was left with guilt.

I used ho'oponopono ( check YouTube)

It's ok to cry and miss them. Talking about them with people who loved them also helps.

Understanding they are freer, and would want you smiling.

I am exactly in the same position as you. I lost someone I considered my better half, the most beautiful, peaceful soul Ive ever met. She died August after a protracted kidney disease. It's even worse because I had to suffer emotionally and psychologically all through the time she was sick, with the hope that she would be fine and get back to normalcy. We even had lots of plans on how to make up for the lost times when she gets well. But death happened out of the blues. I've cried more tears within the last two months than I have cried my entire life. It gets worse every morning and deep into the nights.

One thing that has been helpful is trying hard to come face to face with the reality each day - that makes it better with time. It's hard to forget such lovely souls, as they will forever be part of us, and every single thing would remind us of them, but learning to carry the scars as part of our individual lives will set us up for better days. You won't heal, but you will learn to live with it. The pain and emptiness is incomparable - my hugs.

The reality is that you're gonna have to live with it for a long time.

I lost my best friend in 2009 and I have neither moved on nor made another close friend since then.

When they say time heals all wounds, I've come to learn that emotional wound is out of it.

My buddy was like the brother I never had, we shared clothes, shoes, several other stuffs, and I still see him in my dreams till this day.

Dude shows up in my dreams repeatedly to hang out and cheer me up especially in my times of emotional stress such as this time. Sometime ago, I had prayed the dreams stopped but I've come to realize that I never really needed it to.

Bro, allow yourself to heal naturally but don't force it else you hurt yourself. Some friendships last forever, even death don't stop them.

man I'm sorry for your loss, so sorry. but remember she always wanted you to be happy, she wanted you to survive, for you to survive now you've got to move on men... don't drown in the past like I'm doing, it's been more than 16 years now but my chest and heart literally aches and painfully hurts me anytime I remember mine.. things are really hard for me now, sometimes when I remember the incident I decline for 3months to 4months in every aspect of my life... nothing makes sense anymore you get confused. hope you never get to that stage where you will have to close your office door to cry in the office... I hope and pray. my hearts goes out to you, and try to express yourself to someone anyone, don't build a wall around yourself don't isolate .. try in all forms not to blame yourself for anything.
