I just bought a plot of land in osapa and unfortunately its a swampy land. looking to build a block of six flats and my builder just gave me a quotation of 9 million naira for the foundation and german floor of 5 planks. this i feel is on the high side. 8 t0n of 16mm 10 ton of 12mm 6 ton of 8mm 8 trip of 30 ton gravel 500 bags og cement 800 12x2 wood 800 of another kind of wood any builder in the house pls comment and i might look in your direction as i feel am been exploited. |
DAVE10 make sure this land has governor consent or individual C of O, and don't pay more than 2.5 max for any omonile land in Abijo no matter the location. instruct local agents and visit estates in the area and you will have good titles offers if you have the cash. if you wish i can refer you to someone who can provide you with good titled offers in the area. |
I am responding because you posted this advert on my subject and you don't seem serious with what you are asking for. Agent have just showed me plots in abijo, developed area, fenced with gate, two plots from the express, C of O and are asking for 3million negotiable. and you are here parading yours for 12 or 5.5. anyway goodluck |

i have found posts by this Chidoxyl, to be inflated to suck unsuspecting nairalanders into paying more than the asking price or rent. Why should a landlord demand for 700,000 rent for a 2 bedroom flat at omole and chidoxyl is advertising for 800,000 negotiable, whats wrong with advertising for 700,000. on top of that he will collect 10% agency fee for two years, thats 160,000 plus the extra 100,000 x 2 on top of the 800,000 per year rent x 2 thats a total of 360,000. My fellow nairalanders, is this not greed? Please discuss!! |
if landlord accepted 700,000 naira, why are you advertising for 800,000 naira negotiable. whats wrong with advertising for 700,000. Don't blame landlords, blame greedy touts parading themselves as agents?. the best way to buy or rent property in nigeria is to deal with reputable agents or direct with landlord, if the young man can meet the landlord directly or go through a reputable agent, he would accept 600,000. buyers and propective tenants be wise!!! |
CHIDOXYL and JAMES1, the time you spent on looking for wole that i have done business with, i will advise you to spend it looking for a buyer for your property, don't be a hater because i am not interested in your over-priced properties. look for an amature on nairaland to sell your inflated property prices to. I don't understand the attitude of you guys, if am not happy with you marketing, why pick an offence. If you guys have common sense, read my post, as i clearly stated no time wasters and direct agents or owners only. goodluck, guys. |
