yMcy56: Quite a lot of inconsistency in the system. We just wake up to expect anything from this govt. This exactly is one particular issue that makes our Mr Market so unpredictable - inconsistent government policies. That's why short-term traders have to be very careful, avoid being greedy and getting carried away with paper profits when it seems the bullish season will be forever |

wisdom2345: The Plumming of this stocks is as people expect NTB rates to be above 5% for the 364day bill and then 10.1% in the OMO would hint Foreign investors to sell equities and even bonds in the secondary market to lock cash in OMO @ 10.1%
We just pray and hope that today’s NTB still dips lower but if it appreciates more locals would sell off assets in the stocks market to gain risk free return in t bills The reality is that the major driver of stock rally in the past months was the unattractive yield on the risk-free securities. Hence, the sudden change of the situation will most likely usher in a bearish season. I believe folks who follow this page very well know that the question has always been for how long will the fixed income market become unattractive? This is the point where short-term traders need to act fast and consider an exit strategy as experience tells me that this downtrend may persist even if companies start posting good results with good dividend yields. However, for long-term investors who are more interested in the dividend income, there is no cause for alarm For bargain hunters like Peter, this seems to be season they have long been waiting for This is just my own opinion as Mr Market has a mind of its own anyway, it is information-driven Good luck! |

yMcy56: No one can accurately predict or time the market............. Also, Only God can see into the future........ My opinion is: What we've been advising here is to be buying in tranches. Buy some at currentprice, if it pulls back, buy again. Access has shown much resilience these days, I think its only a major occurrence that can fall the price much...........and we dont pray or wish for any unfortunate event(s).
Caveat: Strictly my opinion** My Ogas, abeg make Una come back from your sabbatical leave o. Once there is certainty then risk has been exposed. However, if you have the premonition to buy and you know it has always worked for you, then go ahead by faith . Otherwise, just watch and wait for a pullback...In fact, waiting for another pullback is even another risk as it may or may not happen soon. In my very eye last year, UCAP fell below N2, Zenith below N11.00, FBN below N4, etc. and I was waiting for more fire in Katanga ...We all know the story about their current prices. |

IYGEAL: Japaul has really done wonders. I have never lost playing this stock. In this particular trip, I wasn't one of the passengers. Congrats to the current passengers, especially you Sis. Mercy.
I would also advise you take some profit at this time if you can. I believe you know how this works. The stock may equally continue its northward movement, but who knows. Unless a long-term investor, it's advisable to take profit once the targeted return is realized to avoid stories that touch the heart. No condition is permanent. Be fearful when others are greedy and vice-versa...Just my opinion though, every investor or trader is responsible for their decisions |

yMcy56: I expect Aiico to shift the date backwards to the last trading day instead. Similar thing happened in NEM - qualification date passed, some sold, just to see that the new qualification date was shifted to either 21st or 24th Dec again.... What of those who held it for long, sold and would end up not being qualified? I don't think it's fair.
In another news, Lasaco on full bid @37kobo! That's what we say, that Mr. Market has a mind of its own, anyone that follows my opinion, make Una no vex, it was categorically pointed out as my opinion and that's what I may have followed......Maybe that's where risk taking and following one's mind comes to play.......together with doing DD.

Chibuking81: Most of the stocks with bad result has monitoring searchlight monitoring the trading activities. With ETI news of poor result how many outsiders do you think that enter the vehicle newly? It's just an inside pumping, once reasonable amount from outside join the vehicle, believe me you will experience serious dumping. Well, ETI 2020 Q3 was not bad as you may think. I guess you considered the fact that the bottom line went down compared to that 2019. It was majorly due to the goodwill written off in the books. It was as a result of their acquisition of the defunct Oceanic Bank Plc. One of the gurus in the house did an analysis on this after the release of the result. I can't remember his username for now. That is the reason I'm not surprised the stock has experienced a rebound since the panic selling following the release of the result. |
Romance › Re: Should I Go Ahead And Marry Her With This Her Mindset? by Monibabakan(m): 9:36am On Dec 17, 2020 |
Nazgul: She's a very selfish person. I hate girls that reason that way. How can you look at a guy who invested 1.5m on you, married you, housed you, feeds you and tell him that you won't contribute to the home?
She has clearly told you that you stand to benefit nothing from her if you go ahead with the marriage plans.
Whatever action you decide to take is up to you. Bitter and hard truth you spoke! I do tell people that the signs are always there for them to see before saying 'I do'. it's just that people overlook them. Unfortunately, people with a selfish mindset hardly change because they see nothing wrong with it. If he can't deal with it, then it's fine. Good luck! |

BrokerHaruna: Access and Uba are on their tireless journey to 6 naira. Zenith heading to 16. Fire in Katanga! What has happened to the Fire in Katanga! I personally need some explanations. I just hope nobody here took all the panic messages serious and went ahead to sell at loss because there were serious and repeated warnings against such action. I'm saying this not to mock anyone, but to encourage someone because the stock exchange has a trend or cycle that always repeats itself again and again. Again, it is very dangerous to engage in panic selling or trading! A good strategy with good information and patience is what an investor needs to trade successfully on the Exchange without unnecessary panic. |

Mcy56: You're right sir. You must be an old hand in this game. Your contributions shows more of a professional ones. Well maybe or maybe not . However, the truth is experience becomes valuable when we learn from it. I'm still learning, not even a pro yet. The stock exchange is an information-driven market and the direction can change at any time. That is why patience, access to real time information with a very good strategy is important to trading with unnecessary panic. |

SMA50: 4m offer standing between FBNH and full fid has been swallowed. 33.9m bids vs 2.2m offers.
We can only observe behind Mcy56 One great blunder one can make in the market is to panic sell at a loss, only for the stock price to go up later. Patience plus a good strategy is very key in trading successfully and enjoying the market without any panic. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Monibabakan(m): 1:22pm On Dec 10, 2020 |
Mcy56: Thanks sir/ma. You know, some of those commenting are traders. For long medium to long term and dividend investors, what is happening in the market is nothing to them. Both bear and bull are welcome as far as they're concerned. Bear affords them opportunity to increase their stakes at cheaper prices and reduce their cost prices (average down). Bull is also good to them......but they avoid buying during bull time, they just enjoy the price appreciation on their investments. So bear period should not be a panic or emotional time for investors. In as much as NSE goes nowhere, the cycle just keeps repeating itself. That's part of the things I've also learnt. At this point I need to personally salute you! You've always made priceless and selfless contributions here. I really don't make comments here, I just observe most times. God bless! |

swilo: It's not as bad as u paint it. This will only last for 4 trading days. Count. Afterwards, u will regret if u didn't enter the market. I wonder too bro! However, one thing I believe people should realize is that the market direction whether bullish or bearish presents it's own opportunities for discerning investors. The best time to buy is when prices are falling or crashing, while the best time to sell is when you have stock rally. I regard the bearish season as the buyer's market, while I regard the bullish as the seller's market. Some gurus here have talked about that on this forum times with number and the even talk about averaging down. Honestly it requires some level of risks to earn return on any form investment. It's just funny to me when I see some comments here which can cause some unsuspecting investors unnecessary panic. Interestingly, when it comes to this market, no one knows it all and gets it perfectly 100% all the time, otherwise it won't have any level of risk involved. Smart investors don't trade based on panic or sentiments or emotion, they do so with a strategy. “ Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.” - Warren Buffet. |
