iheanacho is a player that performs abysmally if he is not in form regardless of the league he is playing, and also performs exceptionally well when in form irrespective of the league he is playing. He is in form this season and the Super Eagles can benefit from that as well.

Iheanacho is in form this season. He can compete any where. He scored a scintillating goal out of nothing against Russia, friendly or no friendly, we all know the Russians took that game serious. You cannot rob the Super Eagles of what Iheanacho offers by downplaying his exploits.

Iheanacho should be the only player that should be starting with Victor Osimhen in a two man attack. There's no denying that Iheanacho is in form, and he scores and create chances as well. He can offer creativity in the final third while Iwobi focuses on creativity in the midfield.

Are you guys really understanding the game you are watching. Alex Iwobi in the last 3 plus years has been by far Nigeria best player. He is not the problem in that midfield. Ndidi, Onyeka and Onyedika are. Non of the mentioned 3 have stepped up to help Iwobi out. Iwobi is the only decent ball playing and creative midfielder we have. Most of the time he is on the pitch, the young man is getting overworked trying to do everything. Ndidi failure to go get the ball from the defender, carry it and distribute it meant that Iwobi is always dropping deeper doing the work of the DM and CM. We need better ball paying midfielders to subliment him. There is nobody currently on the horizon that can't bench Iwobi. Eric Chelle, i can tell you without an atom of doubt sees Iwobi as his most important player. I was watching the Morroccan TV pundits and fans leading up the last Afcon semi finals clash we had with them and they were all having sleepless night on how to stop Iwobi. They were more worried of Iwobi than Osimhen. Every Solution on fixing the SE Midfield should involve Iwobi as one of the solutions. When i see some people talking of disposing Iwobi here i really question thier football knowledge.

there's no body who doesn't know Iwobi's quality, those who want him out know they can't clamour for his removal without jointly watering down his importance with others they deem "ineffective", so they find a way to put his name among the Ndidi and Onyeka as the problem, they know it won't sell if they come directly and mention only Iwobi. And some of them don't want Chelle to succeed, so they want to pretend they care by getting him to drop Iwobi so that when the team suffers, the same people will call for his sack.

I knew it when Pep left Man City that things will reset for Iheanacho.. ladies and gentlemen, this is the Iheanacho we knew before Pep joined him at Man City. iheanacho's form has returned since departure of Pep from Man City.

Those saying he is scoring because he is in a "lower" league don't know anything about Iheanacho's form. Even while he played in Leicester City's B Team in their B league he didn't impress without the form, but once he is in form he impresses regardless of where he plays, whether top league or not. His goal out of nothing and with no support from the midfield against Russia shows that too. And no amount of trying to water that down can hold water.

Chelle should play 4-4-2 if he wants to maintain two strikers, otherwise one striker and two Wengers should start from the front for a 4-3-3 formation.

Awonyi has been decent, he has shown a fighting spirit, I'm sure he'll take any opportunity that comes his way. The likes of Akor and Ajayi should do better. Maybe Chukwueze should come in for Akor at this point.
It seems their goalkeeper has been given instruction to go for floating balls. A way to counter that should be considered too.

I know that some people here are not pleased that Iheanacho is in form now, but he should be recalled to replace an Osimhen who is on recovery asap. This is a crucial fixture and his experience and quality is not in doubt. Even when he was not in form he still delivered for the S.E. in the games he fixtures. he will do it again especially now that he is in form and has been scoring for fun.

Iheanacho is the best converter of chances in the S.E. and he also about creating chances. He can greatly link up midfield and attack. He is unselfish and knows how to make timely and intelligent runs into space. He can also fill in as an attacking midfielder if needed.

Call Iheanacho to the S.E. now! Even his name Iheanacho means "this is what you are looking for" and right now the S.E. is looking for replacement for an Osimhen who is on recovery.

Congratulations to Kelechi Iheanacho . Its time for the S.E. to also benefit from his blistering form so far. God be praised

A positive side of the Super Eagles under Chelle is that they can now put the smaller teams in their place, and they would have qualified directly from the WC qualifier group if they had Chelle then. They have gotten good results against smaller teams in AFCON and Unity Cup, unlike the struggles they had before against smaller teams that made people to nearly conclude there are "no more minors in football".

Iwobi and Mikel are different. Iwobi is a kind of player that plays quick football, he doesn't like to keep the ball for long, his presence makes the SE move the ball and get things done quickly, but Mikel is that kind of player that brings calm, ball possession and retention, composure and stability to the midfield. I'll play a prime Mikel as a Central Midfielder while playing a prime Iwobi as an Attacking midfielder. Both offer unique contributions when they play.
