Kudos to Bruno he really work hard to keep Hakimi silent throughout the game Morocco is beatable ..I strongly believe if our coach made the right substitution Nigeria might have won . Ejuke or Chukueze coming on time to make runs and cross ball but coach brought in Moses Simon and Bashiru as a winger. Bashiru okay but Moses Simon was not right substitution. The coach appears not sure of his reserve bench he prefers to used " Established players "He kept playing Ekong which cause blunders against SA and Zimbabwe. The coach should play most fitted players not names
substitution is the only area that Chelle will have to improve on. If you talk now they'll say a certain winger comes in to help the team to defend, but against Morocco we needed to score a goal to win that game.

Comot there with that new age idea sugarcoated with Bible
you can experiment the potency of your words by yourself and observe.
For example, plant anything that grows in your backyard and pronounce death to one of the plants every morning while pronouncing life to the other plant for let's say 30 days and note how both are fairing.

I'm sorry to say this but i think you overthink. A lot of players have said something similar but still went ahead to achieve bigger things. You actually tool their interviews out of context.

Just curious, what would you have said if you're in their shoes?
whether this is overthinking or not, and lets say what I stated is not anything to go by, at least I'm not asking too much for them to eschew and circumvent ill-speaking of themselves.

This one no follow jare. Nothing concern interview concern performance.
I like to call out some of this things because doing so kinda nullifies the potency. Like they said "a problem known is a problem solved". smiley

I think players should watch their utterances. Yes I know they want to appear "humble" sometimes but that doesn't mean they should write off themselves in the process. I'll use Osimhen's case as an example in this AFCON. Dude had an interview before the game against Morocco and he mentioned in the interview that Yekini is the greatest striker that Nigeria has ever produced and I wondered what about him that said it. This is the guy that would have equaled and maybe surpassed Yekini's record in this AFCON but guess what happened in the next game after he said it... He recorded no goal, and he could not feature in the game after. The Bible says "you're snared by the words of your mouth". Yes Yekini was a great striker and a football legend for Nigeria but so are you Osimhen! You can exalt Yekini and also acknowledge your greatness as well.
Chukwueze also said his game against South Africa was his best game of his life during an interview after the game against South Africa in 2019 AFCON, and he did not record any meaningful and commensurate impact in the rest of the games he played in that AFCON after that interview. It is one thing to say it is your best game yet, and it is another thing to say it is the best game of your life—which mean you're saying you can't have any game as good or better that the one you just had. Words doesn't know if you say something to make yourself feel "humble" or to impress people with it. It just goes into effect the way you said it and it may take saying the opposite of it to correct it.

😆 What is this

Since you've decided to be thick let me use simpler words.

Outcomes isn't a yardstick for how intentional or nonchalant a penalty kick is.

Iwobi's body language was jittery, his pk was poor but he scored. Accusers of Chukwueze only care about the outcome really.
he sent the keeper the wrong way, is that what Chukwueze did? Or don't you know that a good penalty kick can also be characterized with placing the ball away from the path of the goalkeeper? Panenka penalty kicks are played in a cheeky way but that doesn't mean they don't end up in the back of the net.

Look, the least you can do is get the point and stop running with your strawman
behold, the least you can do is appreciate that the ball went in, full stop.

Try de get point first

To be sure the point is to not judge intentions/actions based on success or failure
Did he score? Yes or no? Result is what matters, the two Egyptian players that hit the ball more "purposefully" ended up missing theirs.
We should celebrate success. End of discussion.

the "if" remains an if.
Let's be thankful he scored at least instead of trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Osimhen is close to world class but he is not. He is not great with his legs. Check all the naija trained players at this Afcon, how many of them have good 1st touch? It is the innit boys that are assured in possession. Chukwueze is about the most technical Naija trained player and I still see some poor touches from him.

Osihmen could not help with gameplay against Maroc cuz of his poor 1st touch which overworked Akor. Iwobi gave him a ball in the box that he could not control in the Maroc game. Haaland could probably do better with it.
Osihmen is world class, not close to world class.

the kind of passes that chukwueze is giving to Onuachu is the kind of passes that Osihmen thrives on due to his speed. Osihmen should be playing in this game.

Onyeka is required in this game, he should come in Fikayo. This will help you midfield not to get overrun and will free Chukwueze to play the number 10 role.

You want Osimhen to beat his teammates if they refuse to pass to him abi? 🤨😏
Osihmen was against not passing to somebody in a better position to score. He wasn't saying he must be the person to pass all the time. Osimhen normally applauds any player that gets into good goal scoring chances and goes for goal. He is only against not releasing the ball to a better place player whether he is the one that is better placed or not. Like I said, if the person with the ball is better placed then he should take it and he will be applauded by Osimhen.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Moniter0: 5:51pm On Jan 10
The coach should speak to the players to shoot at goal if they are in positions to do so and only pass to Osihmen if he is in a better position to score. Goals can come from anywhere!

This is reverse psychology in play. They lodged the compliant so that the ref will want to favour them to justify why CAF chose him to officiate the game. And CAF did this in the first place to favor them. Cameroonian FA should also lodge a complaint against allowing an Arab to officiate a game between an Arab Country and Non-Arab Country.

All jokes aside, Eric Chelle needs to lock up shop again and drill these boys physically and mentally. We need to be in the zone for this quarter finals. As much as we've dominated the tournament so far, the next fixture is arguably the one that will determine our fate in this AFCON. We can't be caught slipping at this crucial moment. We need all the players in harmony to function as a team and go out there and deliver.
exactly, while the Coach is expected to have a word with Victor, he should extend same to Lookman too, for peace to reign in the camp. And lookman too should also be spoken to to not allow what happened on the pitch affect him to the point he becomes indecisive when playing. He should play the way he knows how to play and not be pressured into doing what he cannot do.

Who else was impressed with Bright Osayi-Samuel? That boy has always impressed me since he joined us. He is levels above Alebiosu for sure.
I liked his tenacity today and his link-up with Onyeka.
that guy is probably not ordinary o. All the people that would have edged him for that position have all been injured and the latest being Ryan grin
