Ndidi should have attacked the ball. Okoye did not even see the ball coming cos Ndidi was right there standing like someone who wants to shit.
Tackle the ball, man!
What a game! Good practice match for the Portugal match-up.

We still need Nwabali
Hmm,you wanted to discard him before...Nwabali last two Afcon should tell you that only age will slow him down...he is better than Okoye, not easy for Nwabali to get Euro club due to his rough beginning cuz some do rate Okoye over Nwabali cuz of seria A....

Whoever is blaming Okoye for that second goal knows nothing about football. That was a wonderful strike. The ball swerved to the left midway, and Okoye needed to adjust mid-motion and was just beaten by the velocity of the strike.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by junnyjake(m): 9:56pm
The players close to the Polish defender filed to close him down early, that gave him enough time to strike the ball and strike it well.

This game was ours to lose. With our full squad, this would have gone way better.

And I really wanted us to get the W in this game because that Portugal game... Lol.
Portugal go kill Bewene for the RB position o

That double save moment was meant to be highlight of the game. But that long ranger is wow.
I'm disappointed. I hoped the game would end 2-1, so everyone would sing Okoye's praises for those impressive saves. First time in all my years of watching the super eagles to see our goalkeeper prevent such an opportunity from ending in the back of the net.

1. We need shooters in our team.
2. We also need to approach teams from outside Africa differently. Meaning we have to be faster going forward.
3. We need a powerful striker with strength not durosimi lanky and slow.
4. This was how the game deserved to end.

Onachu only played 45mins and was falling all over the places giving wrong passes. Just don't know why he's still invited.
Okoye prefer to be a starter in Europe than in home games in Nigeria. I can't remember the last time he was on the post for home game.

No one expected the player to shoot from there. Not only did he shoot the power and swerve he put on the shot is what makes it special. I wish we could see the speed of the ball.
Stop super coating. Keeper had emlbough time to adjust and time his jump. It's his usual school boy error. He's good at close range. Nwabali is better all round.

The long range shot changed tractectory at some point, reason why I believe Okoye had difficulty putting it out.

Damn!! I thought we won it already.
exactly what happened @the bolded

Still the Number 1. Okoye, okay game but conceeding that is a no.
Okoye, good with the reflex saves but off with positioning and still concedes some kinda goals he should be saving.

Watch Poland's 1st goal and see where Okoye was when the ball went in. Baffling.

The 2nd goal too was a long way off. Despite the swerve on the ball, he should be getting fingers on it and preventing the goal.

I love Okoye’s performance, but God can you help us put in the spirit of Enyeama in our keepers?😭😭🥺🥺…just 10seconds to go ooooo…
na those kind balls enyeama dey use shine..reminds me of Paul Scholes shot at 2002 world cup England vs Nigeria….and all those dirty curlers from Messi at 2010 world cup….

Okoye did not position himself well for that shot🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Chuks4041: 10:00pm
Okoye shouldn't whatsoever be blamed for that shot.
That was a knuckleball shot .it literally changed direction in the air. If you watched well, the guy already stepped to the right but the speed of the ball as it changed direction could not allow him to recover

I'd never be a fan of players like Onuachu, umar sadiq in super eagles, they don't fit into our strengths, no disrespect to both but i feel their style of play is too languid and rigid

Okoye 's positioning let him down

they all know the truth but full of hate for the poor lad

Even if Okoye saves 5 clear cut chances an average Nigerian football fan will never rate him

How on earth do you expect him to save a swerving long ranger when the midfield that was suppose to close the scorer down not to allow him space didn’t do their job?

Excellent reflexes but average positioning

Onuachu and Durosinmi don't fit this system.
Onuachu needs a playmaker behind him and two good wingers (each on both sides).
Dele should have come in instead of Durosinmi/Onuachu, and Moses Simon should have stayed on.

Just one dribbler (Otele) without a playmaker wasn't good enough!
