I also ride okada occasionally, these policemen have collected my byke about 7x and none of those occasions that I paid less than N2000. Before I started the okada riding, I used to blame okada men who don’t stop when red light shows, but on two different occasions I have obeyed traffic light, but to my surprise, policeman would surface from where they hide to remove my key and demand for more than the money I cannot make the whole day. do u mean u applied 2wice, or, you are considering ur wife and yours as double chance. if u have applied twice, you are likely to be disqualify even though you win. if it is giving u error you can continue trying, the error may be from their server,

As for me, i have checked my status and i have not been selected. i checked using moxilla firefox, which is the only browser i have on my labtop for now. xcogitate: What that means is that they will publish another one by Oct 2012 so if u are not selected now u can be selected by Oct 2012. reason for this,is simple because not everyone who are selected now ill be granted the visa and not until when the number of Visa to be issue is complete they will continue to reserve the space and make a raffle draw again and publish the result by Oct2012

For ur second question, if u win dv2013, the only way u can check your status is by using ur confirmation number given to u when u made an entry, if u can't locate it, just forget about dv 2013 and put ur hope on dv2014. i had same problem last year with dv2012, trying to make a copy of my confirmation number, i lost the page, i tried all i could to recover the document, but it was impossible. AS per ur question, nobody will contact u 2ru ur email to tell u maybe u win or lose, it is only when you confirm with ur confirmation number and surname that u can know .on same page u will be instructed to feel certain forms where u will equally be required to fill ur current mailing address through which u will receive your 1st and second notification letters. hope this answers ur questions.the result is around the corner, now roughly 5 days. Bussyme hi, please I have some things I will want u/any NL member to clarify for me, please as the dv 2013 result will be coming out by May 1st, does it mean that if someone checks by that date and found out he/she has not been selected, does that mean he will not be selected again for dv2013? What I mean to ask is, will all the result be released at once, that is by 1st May 2012 or batch by batch throughout the month of May 2012.
Secondly, I know the required documents are:
-police report
-birth certificate
-medical report
-Marriage cert if married
-international passport
Please at what stage does each of the above documents requested for? Is any of them going to be asked for before the given day of interview?

What about police report, do I have to obtain police for myself, my wife and my child? And what does it cost each. Lastly my birth certificate has for a very long time been misplaced by my parent, how are my going to go about getting another one and how much does it cost to get it.

temmytanny: I will try and make things brief for you so that you dont get bored.

It all started on july 2oth when i checked the results and discovered i won. It was mixed emotions for me cos i applied as single and now married and such processing is difficult and long. I made many calls ,emails,did my researches and even visited some people who could help me out. I discovered it was possible for me include my family as beneficiaries. SO i sent mail to KCC and i was happy when they said its possible and my wife and baby were listed as beneficiaries . Then another burden came upon me, the cost implications. I was just recovering from a wedding and my wife was heavy(expecting our baby) but i kept all hope on BABA GOD believing he will do it.
So i went ahead and did all the necessary arrangements sent my forms to KCC and they replied me fixing my interview date for late Jan. I made sure the baby was born and i got his birth certificate before i sent my forms to KCC

MY FIRST INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE


I arrived at the embassy as early as 630am and after 5mins,we were called in two separate lines Immigrants and Non immigrants. Went tru all the security and visa payment stuffs. Then the waiting began

I was called to window 16 where i met a slim white lady


CO- how are you
Me- am fine
CO- can you give me your full names?
ME- bla bla

ME- bla bla
CO- i can see you are a graduate,can you tell me about your project?
ME- bla bla
CO- so you designed and fabricated an equipment?
ME- yes

CO- How do you resolve issues when there is network congestion?

ME- i laughed and told her i have been applying but i havent gotten job there.
CO- Where is you company ID card?
ME- i showed her.
CO- which other company does your company work for as clients
ME- I mentioned Ericsson and fortunately Erisscon is on same street with the embassy,so she was really impressed.
CO- Are your married?
ME- yes
CO- when and where did you meet your wife?
ME- 2006. then she paused for like 3mins typing and looking tru her system, then she left the desk and came back with a white paper telling that she would deny me
CO- Am sorry,i cant give you visa but you have another opportunity to come back on Feb14th to prove your marital status.
ME- but i have all the wedding pictures and documents to prove that.
CO- No, i wont check that, just come back on FEb14th
ME- sorry, my wife wont be available on the said date.
Co- how about 16th?
ME- okay, we will honor that.
CO- Thank you
ME- thank you

I left there the counter dejected cos i was the first to be denied that day.


2ND Interview

I arrived at the embassy about 11 am in the morning and was ushered into the second gate where i waited for about one hour to be interview. A NIgerian came to me and called my full names smiling. He requested my wife to wait while i follow him into his office.

CO- your are Mr. sososososososo
ME - yes
CO - I want to know everything about,from the day you were born till now.
ME- i told him
CO- i need to know all the places you have worked and stayed since you started work?
ME- told him, i was getting tired so i requested for water.
CO- who is that woman out there?
ME- i smiled and told him she is my wife?
CO- When did you meet?
ME - 2006
CO- tell me everything about you two since you met in 2006 and how have been communicating cos i can see you had a distant affair?
ME- i told him and even showed him some of the flight bookings i booked for her during our courtship. Then all of a sudden he collected my bag and started searching.
he brought my photo album,which i arranged from how i met my wife till when we got wedded. He never asked me any question from the album.
CO - What is this?
ME- its the flight ticket she used to travled last two weeks. He collected it and put in his files. He also saw my wife ante natal card and made photocopy.
CO- MR sososososo, let go! That was after about one hour of interview

then we left his office to where my wife was sitting then he requested that she gives the baby to me while she follow him to his office.

To my surprise ,they came out after just 10mins. He now said they will get back to us soon but i made him understand that i dont stay much in naija cos of the nature of my job, he said i shouldnt worry that they will reply us soon. so we left the embassy.

Some agents will not give u confirmation number because they will want to keep it till result is relised so that they will be the first to know if u have been selected, thereby ask u to ask u to pay some money before they release it to u. u know some Nigerians like to make money out of everything, I wish u good luck[color=#000099][/color]

Baby, to be a winner for 2012dv, u must have made an entry in 2011 against dv2012, again to be a winner in any year dvlottery there is no specific formula, u should in the first place adhere strictly to the dvlottery rules and regulations. ensure u submit correct photograph because even though u are selected for futher processing during draw, without good photograph, u will be eliminated. if u go through their website, u will see the specifications.More so I believe it is better to submit your entry on your own, all these dvlottery agency you see around are only interested in the N1000 u paid them, they do not care weather u win or lose. Above all be prayerful because millions of people compete for only half a million chance. GOOD LUCK.

10 Years ? Something must be wrong some where....

Something were really wrong, in the first case i used to do it at dieing minute, like dv 2012 my picture was not very OK, and i submitted using Mozilla fire fox, instead of using interest explorer 6 or IE7, for dv 2011, i lost my confirmation number while trying to save it on my system. i think readers can be cautious when filling their next dv form.All other years i have entered were not done by me, i used all these agents who are only interested in the money u pay them. they do not want to know may be your pictures meet specification or not.But for this last one-dv2013 i took extra care to make sure i met all their specification. Let us all pray to almighty God, because all power lies in his hand.

I need, your prayer, I have submitted an entry for the year 2013 dv and i am hoping and praying that God should have mercy on me this year. i have been applying since about ten years now, but i have not been this serious and prayerful. I just pray that almighty Allah will accept our prayers this time around. Please my fellow forum member, can you please let me know the total amount a winner will need to process his diversity visa, i mean -visa processing fee, police report, medical examination, birth certificate and any other expenses which i have not mentioned.
