BlueAngel444: Trying to fix everything in one window is usually recipe for a bad window There's nothing wrong to fix your problems in a day, there will be peace the day(s) following cos no more problems to attend to. On a serious note, I don't see any issue with that, if you can build up your team to become a world beater in a single season without breaking Financial fair play rules, the following season you can just buy one or two player($) |

Abeg abeg stop am, you know that song we used to sing in primary school during break time : 'some have food but can not eat' that same goes for Mendy:- Some have legs but can not use it, his footwork is very very poor this is the only advantage Kepa has over him. |

Nice one..
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is implementing a US-style contract policy for the club's under-25 players, locking them into deals for as long as seven years.

Jodera: I didn't deny that the center ref have the final say. Var saw it and communicated to the ref.

BlueMann: True, except they can only advise the referee to check the pitch side monitor in cases where they feel the ref has made an error, not instruct. That's what I've been telling him, VAR can advise, suggest, but the center ref has the final say. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by MorataFC: 7:56pm On Aug 15, 2022 |
Jodera: But I thought it's Var that normally instruct Refs to check the pitchside monitor not the other way round? No? Mr man, VAR is Video Assitant Referees, the center referee has the final say, if the referee says he sees the situation perfectly clear there is nothing the VAR can do, VAR can only suggest they can't make any decision, that's why EPL is asking for audio conversation of every single match between the referees and the VAR at the end of each game. |

Jodera: "I anticipated the VAR sending Anthony Taylor to the screen. I know for a fact that if Anthony had been sent to the screen, he would have given a red card and a free-kick to Chelsea". — Dermot
The above there is my grouse especially if you read my last paragraph of my previous post you quoted. Exactly same thing this ref said was what I said. I don't know why they didn't instruct the Ref to go review it personally cos if they had, I believe it would have been a red card bute Var thought otherwise. No, Antony Taylor thought otherwise, if the VAR didn't see the red card offence there they wouldn't have called him or his attention to the incident, that's why EPL is agitating for the audio conversation between the refs and the VARs beginning from this season but yet to be approved. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by MorataFC: 5:45pm On Aug 15, 2022 |
Jodera: Like I said earlier, foul reviewed the incidence only because it is believed the ref didn't see it at all. Var will never ever review a yellow card or foul offence unless the sequence directly leads to a goal, Only red card offence. Unfortunately this didn't leads to a goal but a corner kick.
So the reason why Var called was for a red card offence. They reviewed it and found out it wasn't deemed a red card, so play goes on. Even though it's a foul, but since ref didn't blow it at that spot, then it's no longer termed a foul
The blame goes to the ref for not spotting it when it happened even though it happened in front of him and also Var for not instructing the ref to go view it personally to see if it's a red card offence That's is the issue, did you watch sky sport ref watch today? |

Jodera: Var check was whether it was a red card offence. Since it wasn't a red card offence, then corner kick play continues Smh, was Cucurella fouled or not? if foul wasn't worth a red then it should be yellow (though that's not VAR call) and if it doesn't worth yellow card what of freekick? |

Illimitable: Tim Cahill taught me winning headers has very little to do with height, it’s about being brave and perfect timing.
Cahill scored against some of the tallest defenders in the PL because he could time the flight of the ball perfectly than his markers.
He’s already jumped before his markers thought about jumping and he gets to meet the ball first. The fridge beside Lisandro is very tall and has a head size of an old microwave and still useless. Chai, Haba kilode nao |
