Another left footed winger/ACM?

He was a good player but Van Nistelrooy messed him up

Where will he play with Neto and Estevao on his wing

All this means is we have to stomach Ghost worker in the CM position because Palmer and Buonanote will play AM
...but Brighton doesn't want to sell him nao, what I read is loan

I wonder how una dey rate this barca sef.

This is not the barca that had the trio of messi, xavi and iniesta.

Abi na Yamaha una dey fear?

Bro, we are CHELSEA...the WORLD CHAMPIONS !!!
Bro, calm down small nao😅. This game na 50/50 o, no be by bragging. Let’s be honest, Chelsea are still in a rebuilding process ,new players, new system, and we are still trying to find our rhythm. On the other hand, Barca players have been together for long, they’re the current La Liga champions and also UCL semi-finalists, if not for that little mistake ,they should be in final ,so naturally they deserve to be rated above us for now.

That doesn’t mean we can’t beat them, but respect must be given where it’s due. Football no dey follow past glory or name alone, it’s about form and consistency, and right now Barca have that edge.
Personally, I would have loved to avoid them, but thankfully we meet at the group stage, not in the elimination rounds. In cup competitions you need a bit of luck to win the trophy, because most times the best team doesn’t always win it, it’s leagues that the best team usually wins. But the same God wey do am for us last season will surely do more this season. 💙

Major talking points from Enzo’s presser:

Injuries & Player Updates

• Cole Palmer, Benoît Badiashile, and Romeo Lavia are all out. Lavia and Badiashile unlikely to return right after the international break but will be closer.

• Wesley Fofana is back and being eased in with minutes.

• Concern for Romeo Lavia’s long-term recovery, with comparisons to Reece James’ careful management.

Transfers & Squad

• Alejandro Garnacho is in the building; coach sees him strictly as a winger.

• Transfer business depends on outgoings: “anything can happen in and out” before deadline.

• Players currently training away from the squad: no clarity yet on their future; possible reintegration only after the window closes.

• Nkunku & Nicolas Jackson exits could trigger another attacking signing, but coach says “I don’t know.”

• Expressed strong belief in the squad: “I loved it when I joined, and it’s getting better and better.”

Team & Tactics

• On playing without Cole Palmer: team is better with him, but solutions were found in the last match (scoring 5 goals).

• Joao Pedro & Liam Delap can play together, but selections depend on game plans.

Opponents & Fixtures
• Fulham praised as organised, strong, and well-coached by Marco Silva.

• Excited about Champions League draw: happy club is back where it belongs.

• Looking forward to facing Napoli and Atalanta, calling them fantastic teams.

• Personal excitement about returning to Italy – football and food.

International Break
• Welcomes the break, mainly for player recovery (especially those not on international duty).

• No “holidays,” but a chance to recharge energy.

Departures

On Christopher Nkunku’s move to Milan: praised him as a professional and good player, unlucky with competition from Palmer. Milan fans can expect quality.

Why is United blocking Mainoo's loan move request? Funny how the rubbish player was the first to register an assist after just one game.
So, you actually want one of your best players to go out on loan? Meaning you want to deplete the team completely? Well done, sir. grin grin grin

.......Chelsea can sign 30 players just in a window. Madrid has the pull for top players....... we can barely sign 3 players in a window, also we have lost the pull to sign top players, yet our fans want us hiring and firing like the 2 clubs. LOL!

The other day when Iamoyindamola said he trekked during cash scarcity and almost passed out, I checked the distance he trekked and was laughing.

I try to hit an average of 15k steps daily which usually comes to a distance of 10km. This is how far I've gone this month.

This thread made me laugh. The guy said he walks 2km per day and is worried the trekking will affect him in old age.

How Nigerians consider 2km trekking always makes me laugh. 4km trekking (10,000 steps) is the recommended daily steps and most people I know here cover that everyday and even up to 6km

https://www.nairaland.com/8507851/trek-alot-should-worried-old
10,000 steps will give you nothing less than 7km unless those steps are for children

Exactly. I can’t trade the benefits of daily cardio for anything. As of now, I’ve walked/jogged 74.8km this month. My goal is to hit 90km by the end of the month.
I walk ( not trek ooo, because diff dey😂) 10 -12km per day.

I just pity you all. You guys don’t watch football with enough attention. Garnacho is a very poor player with no technicality. Poor touch, poor dribbling, poor decision making and his only way of creating is running down the by line to put in a substandard cross.

Maresca doesn’t use overlapping full backs so Garnacho will be forced to face opposition wingers and fullbacks all alone. I am certain that in no time, everyone will turn on him.

I agree with the bold too. For 40m in this era when average players are going for double, He is a good deal

Man Utd environment is just toxic right now and they always look for a scapegoat

From Fellaini to Schweinsteiger to Pogba to Lukaku, to DeGea to Mctominay, to Fred, to Maguire, to Sancho, to Antony, to Garnacho

They must find a player to scapegoat
What pains me most is the David de Gea situation. This is a player who stood by Man u through thick and thing, even when he had better options. At a time when madrid came knocking and he have just one year left on his contract, meaning he could have easily left on a free transfer, but De Gea still chose loyalty and signed a new deal. That’s the definition of sacrificial commitment ,but how did they pay him back?
The guy serve them with the heart of angel but they pay him with the heart of red devil .

Barca and Bayern are our only tricky fixtures. We should win the rest
Napoli come into this as the reigning Italian champions, and everyone knows the level of quality they bring. Atalanta may not have the Scudetto to their name, but they are far from a lightweight team, tactically sharp, physical, and capable of upsetting any big side on their day.
It is only clubs like Pafos and Quaraba may not be considered Champions League heavyweights, but they can be dangerous at times to be a spoiler and be motivated to prove that their success as domestic league champion is no a fluke and to use this stage as a statement.( Though I don't see them causing any major upset but they must not be underrated )In fact, almost all our opponents are domestic champions of their respective leagues and that alone makes them dangerous.💪

Barcelona’s reported value of Fermín López is €69m (£60m ) — a figure Chelsea would be reluctant to meet.
