I went to Check out the mtn Fiber X thread, and they also have their own complaints. I was hoping it would be a better alternative overall but alas!

The lack of power backup and not being mobile is the number one reason I will stick with airtel, it’s even the same price sef, and on-top of that airtel network is excellent in my location, so make mtn pack one side for now

Not really sure if they can but first ask them if they can be able to do it , if they cant , then you will have to go to a MTN service center

Just take note of your ODU number, go to any road side sim registration shop and do a SIM swap to a physical sim, then get a pocket router that has been tweaked to work with the router plans and you are good to go

I have tried registering in the app but each time, they send code to the number which should be automatically captured by the app

What about the alternate number you submitted when getting the ODU??

I wish I can find a portable router with up to 5000mAh that can be made to work with broadband bundles.
I found one VIDA router with 5000 battery but the tweakers say e no fit work.

I also have the Vida, it seems that router is uncrackable oo
when the 20MPs was still working on all devices, I used the plan on it and it lasts at least two whole days without charging, mehn I miss it, wish there was a way to make it work with the router plans again

It's not recommended to turn it off, but if you must, then go to system, developer options, put in password and then toggle temperature control.

You run the risk of damaging your motherboard with this setting

It works on X25 and some more portable routers (MIFIs). However, to work on mifi, you'd need to tweak it and some people do it for a fee.

That means this 50MPS plan works on routers and mifis that the earlier 20MPS works on right?!

But realistically, it's impossible to be going from one customer's house to another to retrieve their devices because they didn't subscribe for some months, what about the one ones that relocated, or the ones the device got damaged maybe by bad NEPA light, will they ask the person to pay for the damages

I just realized mine has both physical and esim. You can also check yours in the settings. The physical sim is the active one at the moment, but it can be switched in the settings.

I doubt that, did you switch to external SIM and you were still having internet

They originally registered an Esim variant for me, but it failed to come up, even though it was up on their system. I had to return for a swap, that's when they changed it to a physical sim variant.

At the point of registration, you can let them know you want the physical sim variant.

It seems that the esim variant is more in stock than the physical SIM , from the Airtel office to everyone that I have asked, they all say that it's only the esim variant that they have

Just paid for the airtel ODU router this afternoon. The installer called few hours later and is currently in my house fixing it.

My house is very high, so, getting a way to fix it outside was hard for him. So, he said we should test if the network is strong inside the house, which we did and it was over 53mbs. So, we fixed it near my window.

That's the news flying around in some quarters. I wasn't told that and there was no written agreement in any form i filled in the office that it was leased. The reason for sending down installers is simply to avoid the retail selling of the device. They are trying to avoid retailers selling above the 25k price. Infact before giving it to you, they would tear off every wrapper and unroll the cables. Infact no staff can take out that device without registration no matter who you are. They simply followed the footsteps of MTN fibre X and nothing more. If Airtel does not monitor the sales of the device, guess how much these hungry retailers would sell the ODU. 150k is certain

Oh so you will be given the device that same day you paid and registered to take home, I thought you will have to wait for the installer to bring it and install, thanks for the info

Sure, you can do it yourself but the installer must do his job by hanging it wherever he deems it fit because he has to take pictures in that same location to show and prove that indeed he has done his job. After he leaves, you might do as you wish with it but 💯, it must be hanged by the installer 😁

You need to unlock your bootloader. Crossflash to EU rom. Then, download certain files from the telegram group. You need to use those files to replace factory partitions on your phone. Lastly, you need to do a factory reset. That's all.
