Let’s make something clear, if you’re serious about growing your money in Nigeria, you must understand these three words: Stocks. Bonds. Mutual Funds.
Most people mix them up. Some even invest blindly without knowing what they actually bought. Let’s break it down like gist between friends 👇

1. STOCKS — You’re Buying a Piece of a Company
Think of stocks as ownership.
When you buy shares of GTBank, Dangote, or MTN, you’re literally buying a small part of that business.
If the company grows, your shares become more valuable.
You can also earn dividends when profits are shared.
But here’s the flip side, when the company struggles, your share price can drop.
So, stocks come with higher risk, but higher potential reward.
Example: If Dangote Cement grows in value, your stock grows too. But if it crashes, so does your money.

2. BONDS — You’re Lending Money, Not Owning Anything
Bonds are like giving the government or companies a loan.
You’re not buying ownership; you’re lending them money for a set time.
In return, they pay you interest regularly (like rent for using your money).
Bonds are usually safer than stocks — but the returns are lower.
Example: When you buy FGN Bonds, you’re lending the Nigerian government money, and they promise to pay you back with interest later.
Think of bonds as the “calm” sibling — less drama, less excitement, but steady.

3. MUTUAL FUNDS — The Easy Way to Invest Without Doing All the Work
If picking stocks and bonds sounds stressful, mutual funds are your friend.
They’re like a basket that holds many investments (stocks, bonds, etc.) — all managed by professionals.
You don’t need to research each company.
You just invest in the fund, and the experts handle the rest.
Example: A Stanbic IBTC Equity Fund might invest in 20+ Nigerian companies on your behalf.
It’s great for beginners who want diversification without the headache.

4. Quick Summary:
Stocks = Ownership. High risk, high reward.
Bonds = Lending. Low risk, steady reward.
Mutual Funds = Combination. Expert-managed, balanced risk.
The smart investor doesn’t choose one, they combine all three depending on their goals and risk tolerance.

1️⃣ Passion and Ambition:

Be passionate about your source of income. Whatever you do that brings money into your life, take it seriously. Keep improving, take professional courses, learn new software relevant to your field, and keep networking. Desire to become one of the best in your field or industry. Be ambitious.
2️⃣ Saving and Investing:

Always save before you spend, and invest correctly and regularly. If you want to be financially independent, saving is non-negotiable. Start putting your money into investments like businesses, stocks, real estate, or bonds. The earlier you start, the better. Compounding works best over time.

3️⃣ Prudence and Debt Aversion:

Live below your means and avoid reckless loans. Always manage your spending wisely and focus on building assets instead of buying liabilities. Stop taking loans for trivial things. If you must borrow, let it be for growth, and ensure the interest rate is reasonable.

4️⃣ Diversification:

Have other streams of income. Once you are stable with your current source of income, consider creating another. A single source of income might not be enough. Start a side hustle if you have to.

5️⃣ Patience and Consistency:

Wealth doesn’t happen overnight. Be patient and consistent in doing the right things and making smart financial decisions. With time, your financial independence will be complete. Don’t run faster than your guiding angel. Be honest, and avoid fraudulent actions that could jeopardise your future.

✅ Lastly, be generous within your means. God will crown your efforts with success.

1. Build Yourself Before You Build Anything Else

Focus on personal growth.
Read, learn a skill, improve your mindset, and develop strong character.
Your future will only rise to the level of your self-discipline.

---

2. Choose Your Circle Carefully

The people you call friends either lift you higher or pull you down.
Stay close to:

Those who think big

Those who dream

Those who push you to become better
Wrong company destroys good destiny.

---

3. Live Below Your Means

Avoid unnecessary competition.
Not everything that looks good is meant for now.
Save. Invest. Work quietly.
Fast life leads to fast regrets.

---

4. Learn to Delay Gratification

Be patient with your process.
Not every success is instant.
What you build slowly, stays longer.
Focus on long-term reward, not short-term pleasure.

---

5. Respect People & Build Good Relationships

Be humble. Be respectful.
You don’t know who will speak for you tomorrow.
Your character is louder than your talent.

If you're from a poor Background and you really want to escape poverty, I beg you, dobt joke with these 7 things

1️⃣ Quality Education and Skills.
Do all you can to be educated. NEVER listen to people who say, “Education is not important, skill is…” They are deceivers. All their children are studying abroad. Don’t listen to them. Go for both formal education and quality skills. You need both.

2️⃣ Start Saving & Investing Early.
People from wealthy backgrounds can afford to joke with saving, but you can’t. NEVER argue saving. Save! Avoid wasting your money on frivolous things. I’m here to help you on this. Just be obedient to instructions.

3️⃣ Cut Bad Habits.
Avoid gambling, laziness, waste, and fraud. I beg you, avoid sports betting, alcohol, parties, and similar habits. Stay away from Yahoo-Yahoo. Your brain can give birth to something bigger and impactful. Trust me.

4️⃣ Networking.
Drop any “shoulder pad” you have. Be humble, respectful, and ready to connect with people who inspire growth. Make quality friends and give genuine support in every relationship. Don’t be a parasite.

5️⃣ Work Hard and Smart.
Anyone from a poor background who is lazy is unserious. You must be ready to work harder than most people, and be strategic in your efforts.

6️⃣ Be Consistent and Never Give Up.
Don’t look for quick shortcuts to success. There’s none anywhere. Success takes time. Stay focused and don’t quit. The children of the poor must never give up until their dreams are actualised.

7️⃣ Have a Positive Mindset.
If you are from a poor background, stop waiting for someone to save you. You are the architect of your life. The master of your fate. Take responsibility. Stop thinking like a victim. Hold your destiny in your hands.

✅ If you can be mindful of these, trust me, your tomorrow is bright.

Inside Osun Free Tuition, Free Feeding And Free Boarding Private Secondary School With Over 200 students

Ibraheem Alli

At an early age, I was so used to my father. Unlike many who are their mothers' disciples, mine was my father, even till now. His industriousness attracted me to him, most. He will expose his good days at Iwo Grammar School. Unlike today when students are using school bags, he narrated his ordeal of trekking with a book basket on his head from Ileogbo to Iwo every weekend. To balance his report, he equally exposed the sumptuous free meals and boarding facilities he enjoyed when he proceeded to Baptist College for Teachers' training. According to him "As one of the school prefects at the Baptist College, I have my own farm in the school premises. Being a product of a farmer, we were further fully exposed to practical side of agriculture. I learnt basket weaving in school. We ate free meals. Two students will eat a whole, full chicken"

All these expository remarks left me pessimistic on the likely revitalization of Nigeria's education. I almost lost hope, one of the reasons I appealed to my father to enroll us in private School. I almost blame coming at such a generation. I doubted inventing such a golden session of the season again until 4 years ago when a private senior secondary school offering free tuition, free feeding and free boarding sprang up in Ileogbo, the headquarters of Ayedire Local Government, Osun State.

The school is designed primarily for the less privileged with special talents in sports.

Lanreleke Sports Academy was established in 2021 by a philanthropist, Managing Director of Peculiar Ultimate Concern Ltd, as one of his company's social responsibility functions. LSA is co-educational, fully residential and specialist senior secondary school, which was founded in 2021. The school graduated its first set of 60 students called "Peculiar Class 2024" after spending three years in the School"

The well equipped school with ultra modern structures and international stadium hosting Nigeria professional leagues is a fast growing academic institution with sports excellence combined. These projections are excellently achieved as manifested in the products of the school. As of today, the school has a population of about 245 students. Most of the students have represented the state and the country at both national and international game competition. Adeleke Fawas, a student of LSA is currently in Algeria representing Nigeria in the FIFA under 15 TDS(Talent Development Scheme).

The school projections have been officially regimented into three phases. According to the school proprietor, Engr. Adeleke, at the 2nd graduation/prize presentation ceremony of the "Ultimate Class 2025" "The projection is in three phases. The first phase is sports which we have convincingly achieved for sustenance. The next phase is vocation while the third is entertainment"

"We are moving to the 2nd phase now which is vocation. The students will concentrate on two skills acquisition, major in one and minor in the second"

"We are putting up our workshops. Very soon, we will equip it with modern tools. We will appreciate the students and parents usual support and cooperation"

"We specially appreciate the Arubiewe Foundation under the distinguished leadership of Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, for providing university scholarship opportunities for the graduating students of LSA. The gesture will, in no small measure, bridge the gap of financial challenge between secondary and tertiary educations"

“The graduating students have been well tutored and trained in the area of sports and academy, as they also wrote their WAEC and NECO exams"

”It will interest Nigerians, that some of them will be travelling to Europe for trials, local clubs signing, scholarships to America, and Europe, and some will further their education in Nigerian Universities.”

"Ipo lagba, ibanuje lojo Ori"

It is a Yoruba saying that loosely translates to "A man's standing and place in life is what is important while age is just a sad reminder".

Dear Nigerian, please go and learn where and with whom you need to learn. Submit where you need to submit to learn in order to improve yourself.

Please do not misinterpret nor mistranslate the common prayer saying "you won't serve your mate". Life is in stages and men are in sizes. Your foolish and stupid ego will not improve you. It will not put food on the table. You're not too old to learn from those younger than you and those who are your peers.

Age is not an achievement. Everything living ages without any effort, but that wrong understanding of your age can inhibit you from growing and becoming so many things in life because of certain ego related folly and stupidity.

Have a good day.

Tomorrow is Monday.

The worry of Mondays hits job seekers differently.

While others groan about returning to work, a job seeker often wakes up to silence, no calendar, no traffic rush, no paycheck expected at the end of the month. It's just a gnawing sense of uncertainty.

Job seeking is a job. Every application, every interview prep, every networking attempt is effort , even if unpaid for now. It’s okay to feel low, but don’t let it paralyze you.

Your Monday is not empty. It’s just in a different season.

Keep going.

Because one day…. JUST ONE DAY!

Certainly! Here's a heartfelt and respectful ode to a former high school principal known for being a disciplinarian, blending admiration with the lasting impact of their leadership:

---

🖋️ Ode to the Disciplinarian Principal

O captain of the corridors, stern yet wise,
With iron glance beneath those seasoned eyes.
You walked the halls with quiet, thunderous grace,
A ruler not of fear, but of a higher place.

The bell would ring, and silence swiftly fell,
Your presence spoke what no loud voice could tell.
A sentinel of learning, order’s flame,
In every echoed footstep, bore your name.

You carved from chaos rules both firm and just,
Taught us that boundaries are built on trust.
Your discipline—no lash, no shameful scorn,
But steady hands by which young minds were born.

We feared, it's true—but more, we knew your care,
Your sharp rebuke was love clothed in despair.
For every late slip, every tardy call,
You raised us upright so we would not fall.

Now time has dimmed the paint upon the wall,
But echoes of your footsteps grace the hall.
The rebel’s fire, the scholar’s trembling pen—
All tempered by your will, and forged again.

You’ve passed the torch, but still we feel your spark,
A guiding flame through every shadowed dark.
Oh Principal, both hammer and the scroll,
You shaped the clay and helped us find our soul.

Let’s be honest.

You’re tired.
You borrow to eat.
Borrow to pay rent.
Borrow to look responsible.
But deep down, it’s not working.

You're not wicked…
You're not lazy…
You're just overwhelmed.

📌But you can break free. You MUST

Real Steps to Stop the Borrowing Trap and Reclaim Your Life

1. Stop Borrowing to Impress.
Don’t buy clothes or gadgets to prove you’re okay. You’re allowed to look broke while fixing your life. Real people will understand.

Even the rich somtimes deliberately look broke.

2. Make a List of What You Owe.
Write it down. Don’t fear the figures. Facing your debt is the first step to freedom. Ignoring it will only multiply the shame and anxiety.

3. Call the People You Owe.
Yes, it’s hard. But call them. Apologise. Be sincere. Tell them your plan to repay gradually. Most people respect honesty more than silence. Don't owe people and be bullying them on top.

4. Cut Down to the Bone.
If it’s not a NEED, pause it. Cancel all subscriptions. Stop eating out. Your survival is more important than soft life right now.

5. Start Earning Something Daily.
Don’t wait for big jobs. Sell data. Resell perfumes. Offer cleaning. Teach online. Babysit. Small daily income keeps you away from daily debt.

6. Learn Financial Literacy.
Many of us were not taught how to manage money. Follow pages that teach budgeting, saving, and growing income. Attend free money classes online.

Copied.

1) When someone lends you money, return it even before they ask for it. If you're unable to repay, keep them updated regularly. Don't just go silent on the person.

2) When you visit someone's house, don't go through their fridge. Stop asking if you can take this or that. Stay in one place and respect their space.

3) Don't ask people unnecessary questions. Apply emotional intelligence when inquiring about something. If someone had a miscárriage, avoid asking about their pregnancy. If someone dropped out of school, don't bring it up. Such questions can rúin their mood. If they don't mention it, it's best to pretend you don't know.

4) When someone is having a discussion with you, put your phone away. It shows you're concerned and paying attention. Being distracted by your phone can give the impression you don't care, and it's disrespectful.

5) Don't visit people unexpectedly. Let people know you're coming ahead of time. It shows respect for their schedule and space.

6) When you enter a room and meet people, greet everyone, not just the person you know. It shows respect and kindness to everyone present.

7) Try not to spitt in front of people. It's really disgûsting. And if you want to sneeze, use a tissue or handkerchief to cover your mouth.

cool When you take your children to someone's house or an event, keep them under control. Ask them to stay one place and avoid running around. This helps avoid inconveniencing your host and others. They might not feel comfortable telling you. Some might wárn you.

9) When you're with your partner in public, avoid yelling at your partner using abûsive words. It creates an impression that you're abûsive at home.

10) When you visit someone's house, know when to leave. Don't overstay your welcome. No matter how sweet the conversation is, know when it's time to leave.

11) Don't comment on someone's appearance negatively. You don't know what's going on in their lives.

12) When talking with someone in a public space, be mindful of your tone of voice. Stop shouting.

13) When you see someone in public or at an event, don't over stare. It could make the person feel uncomfortable.

14) Don't focus too much on your phone when you're in public. It can make you shy.

15) If you're someone who cúts people off immediately when they offend you, it may affect your social life. Unless the person poses a thréát to your life or mental health, try to be more understanding and forgiving. Condone people. Everyone has their own weaknesses, even you.

16) Don't be fond of disclosing people's secrets without their consent.

17) Learn to appreciate people when they do something for you, even if you're paying them. It motivates them to do more and deliver better results.

18) When you're having a discussion with someone, listen to understand, not just to respond. And don't dominate the conversation.

19) Don't brag about your achievements around friends who haven't reached the same level. It can cause jeáIousy and eñvy. Even if they smile and pretend to be happy, a part of them feels like you're overtaking. It's natural and human nature.

20) The fact that someone is friendly with you doesn't mean they want to be friends with you. Understand boundaries. Stop trying to turn all casual friendships into a romantic affair. You could end up losing both.

I Had Direct Contact with the President… Until I Asked for N100,000.

He always picked my calls. Always responded.

Then one day, I had an emergency. An urgent need.
I called him and said, “Sir, please I need N100,000.”
He said, “Okay.”
He told someone to send it to me.

Then he blocked me.

Now, that’s not a true story, but it perfectly explains how people lose life-changing relationships.

At this point, you should stop reading if you don’t want the truth that hurts.

The potential investor is not the same man you ask for urgent 2k.
The one meant to teach you how to build your own farm is not the one you call to “buy you breakfast”

If you confuse the roles,
You lose both the man and the opportunity.

Some people are doors.
Some are ladders.
Some are mentors.
Some are investors.
And some are not meant to fix your hunger.

Rich and powerful people don’t keep needy friends.
They keep useful ones.
If they sense you are drowning in basic survival, they will toss a life jacket and sail off without you.

Why?

Because in their mind, “you don’t belong here yet.”
They will place you back where the crowd is.
No beef. Just instincts. Standard.

An eagle doesn’t keep friendships with a fowl.
Not because the fowl is bad but because they fly at different altitudes.

If you want to keep high-value people, stop trying to use them for survival. Survive secretly and build with them openly. They are not there to help you survive, and out there, no one gives a flying f**k how you feel.

That’s how to maintain access.

You must not become an unnecessary burden if you want to keep the relationship.

This truths hurt, it sounds harsh and wicked, but this post is not about what’s morally right or wrong. I’m simply sharing a CODE.
