Family / Re: My Sick Husband Wants Me To Be Having Sex Elsewhere by Mosenge: 12:11pm On May 23, 2015
Gcryd, help us. Not all women deserve to be called mothers. It is only an adulteress woman that will think of having sex with another man just because her husband is sick, even if he suggest that to her. Is health challenge a divorce? This is a hint she might be guilty of indecency in her marriage before the poor man got ill. Poor in the sense that he may be married to an adulterer. How can the husband's suggestion appeal to her senses to concede opening her legs for sex with someone else. What advise does she have for her children, or ladies concerning marriage? Even if she doesn't know bible or Quaran, does her tradition encourage it? Let her go ask her village head for advise or she can throw her question to her own daughters and lets see the kind of home she's building up. We can see how women old enough to mother generations of children for the future are turning out to be after being drunk with so much of these indecent western movies. A woman at that age should be due off sex addiction and to rather live a legacy that will be instilled to her children and grand children for the future. I agree with someone's comment, and i want to believe it's a bait by the sick man to know his wife's loyalty status, being in that condition for 9yrs.
Celebrities / Re: Rapper MI Proposes Marriage To A Fan On Stage In Abakaliki by Mosenge: 5:38pm On May 11, 2015
contactmorak:
MI Abaga has hit the headlines again after finding a new wife for himself while performing at Abakaliki Star Music Trek which held at Abakaliki Township Stadium on Saturday, May 9, 2015.

In the course of his performance, MI told the crowd to allow him bring a girl onstage who has been staring at him for a long time. The excited crowd replied, “yes” to his request. He brought the lady up on stage and the crowd couldn’t help but scream at the top of their voices as MI sang a love song to the lady, kissed her hands, hugged her and finally declare her as his new wife.

Oops! Something is not very clear to me here, please can anyone explain. Was MI married before now? If ''yes", then i'm cleared, but if the answer is "No" meaning he was single before meeting the lucky lady here on stage with him, then why is the caption "Abaga....finding a new wife while performing......" Sounds to me like he had a wife before, and he's getting another wife, making it the second, or maybe the third.......well it's not new anyway, just that i'm fussy and i don't get excited with every headlines, but i rather read every word in detail so i do not end up with .......

Family / Re: Judge This Case by Mosenge: 8:32pm On May 07, 2015
I feel everyone should have reservation, not to go extreme. I think we should look inward, come back home, and learn who we really are. The mother of the man intending to get married is 100% right as a normal, sound African mother, in her observation and reasoning. The problem is with the man and his fiancé' who are out of order. (1) maybe the girl is not the lively type that can walk into any home and blend, like doing the ditches, which she never did, well not a problem. I agree some will end up for a eye service. If he had confronted his fiancé on getting home about the mother's grievance, what i expect from the girl is for her to run back to her mother-in-law or make a call to her if for distance, and apologize immediately and promise to see her. It was not mentioned, you see. Let’s come home and talk like we have culture, which is the foundation. Maybe, it is mothers like this who are still alive that are still standing to protect our values or else maybe without them, what distinguishes us from other race may have gone into instinct, God forbid. Our nation cannot be lost and be a laughing stock in the face of the earth. I refuse and annul any yoke binding us to be a confused generation. What shows that we are civilized? Is it by killing our values and living in a borrowed culture? Why must we deceive ourselves, and be the ones to copy, why not the west do the copying, dress, and talk like us. Is it not enough what we got from them? Foreign language, education, weird life etc. you name them, and maybe an half-baked system of government? It is a pity, i know we all commenting here are all victims in a failed system of a society that has lost her value as a people. What distinguishes people on the face of the earth is culture. Culture is the characteristics of a particular group of people defined by their beliefs, way of life, dress code, greeting pattern, language, way of thinking, arts, social habits etc. etc. Nigerians are wonderfully endowed, such that apart from our natural resources, our talents or blessing enables us to fit in or adapt to every society in the world and stand out, but the where we messed everything up was when we, rather than being humble and attribute glory to God, pride sets in, such that we gradually begin to loose direction and consciousness of who we are as a people, that are called to lead, first ourselves, then our neighbors(Africa), and so on till we get to where God wants us to be. We say charity begins at home. Let reason well, and let the good mother to be. Tomorrow we shall all yell, ''Happy Mother's Day"

Politics / Re: Why Is South-south Often Referred To As 'the East'? by Mosenge: 3:49pm On Mar 15, 2015
Abagworo:
If you take a look at this map you will notice the area I marked
with red line covering Akwa Ibom and Cross River States. That
area is geographicaly Southeast. Igboland could either be East
central or South central as against wrongly termed Southeast.
Niger Delta consists mainly Rivers,Bayelsa and Delta States with
small fractions of Imo and Abia States. South-South is a wrong
coinage for Southern minorities or more precisely parts of the
South outside Igbo and Yoruba area.
So in essence none of the terms used represents reality.

Oh! how interesting. I've finally heard one who reason like me on this particular topic i had with friends long ago. I was disappointed how it ended with no logical conclusion, though with facts i presented to my pairs presumably young brains as we were at the time. I can see signs of those aliens still breeding around. Their reasoning are politically disjointed with regional & tribal sentiments, ochestrated by who they pay their allegiance to. When a Nigerian share in a matter, you hadly get solution, rather more wahala. Is this real or a joke? Must nigerians joke with everything? Good lord help us. Anyway, thank you dear for this topic.

The Honda city is a nice car. I own an 07 model. Bought it used from someone here on nairaland. The cat auto is not that bad. I thought I was going to have issues with it but two fluid changes have restored the auto box to normal operation. In one of my posts I documented my trip with it to lagos from ph and back to ph. I averaged 40mpg. Just take care of the cvt as stated in the manual. Don't race it. Don't tow with it. Avoid vetting such with it and don't swim in pools of water where water can get into the transmission. Change the fluid at recommended times with the correct fluid. The cvt might take sometime to get used to. There is often a delay when you shift from drive to reverse or vice versa. It never lasts more than two seconds especially when the car is cold. It is normal. Treat the car nice and it should last a while. The other point to note is; avoid impacts on the car at all costs. The body shell of the city (07) was designed to crumple upon impact. I don't know how the 09 model was designed. I just hope it is sturdier than mine.

Bro' i can't help, but laugh out loud, after chuckling in excitement. Wow! so this is what it means.....you can't eat your cake, and have it. All that glitters takes sacrifice to keep them. Thank you bro'

Maybe when you stop looking at the car, you will get unglued grin

The honda city is a nice car, its just the civic that has kept it in the shadows. Also note that that particular model year came with CVT transmission, I repeat again CVT transmission, honda automatic gears don't like an iota of abuse not to talk of their CVT transmission so get research on CVT before you dabble into it.

Hmm!.... what an interesting facts. I'm impressed by your knowledge on stuffs like this. Pls tell me abeg, little about the so called CVT, and how can one abuse it? What about the 2008 model? Did it come with the CVT?

I am looking 4 something portable, cute & economical. Friends recommeded corolla, no doubt the demand for it is obvious, but i like uncommon stuffs, maybe that is where i get trouble, i am okay with that. I am presently glued to a honda city 08/09 i am looking at, which i am intending to buy. I want to know if this model of japanese car is not among the cars that were withdrawn due to factory problem publicized sometime last year?
Car Talk / Re: I Think This Forum Is Cool. I Need Help With My Car. Anybody? by Mosenge: 6:09pm On Mar 06, 2015
Thank you my friend. your advise is taken. I will give you feedback once tried and tested ok. Meanwhile, to answer your question, i have no clue how a 4cylinder engine gear fits to a v6 engine gear space. What i observed was that, the second and last gear i bought before i finally got the present one that came with the engine looks same, and cannot tell the difference. So, the lesson to me is that i'd looked for a gear that comes with the type of engine i have befoer maikng payment or they the mechs can't get it right aswell.
Car Talk / I Think This Forum Is Cool. I Need Help With My Car. Anybody? by Mosenge: 4:51pm On Mar 06, 2015
Since i signed up with this forum, though recent, i have been just an ocassional visitor here, especially reading car talks, like i am a freak on that, and also on politics now, because of the unavoidable drama going on in the political history of the most endowed country in africa, 9ja. I have a 406 prestige, 01/02, though i'm not too sure of that model, as it is not clear to me how the French coded the year of manufacture. It is not like other cars i have driven. I have never used my cars more than 3 years, but this one is like a spell cast on me, it is 4 years old now and still drives smooth. Though i adopted it with a gear problem right from the car dealer's shop, but because i do not give up on things easily it took my time, money & sweat to get to the root. The first mistake i made was to change the gear that came with it, as it was not given complete transmission, jacks at some point and ocassionally refuse to return to gear one when the car comes to a stop or iddle. I had to put off the engine to correct that. All other gears i bought works fine for maybe two weeks or a month like the last one did, then the ususal warning light"automatic gear fault" showing on the screen, seriously believe me it is not funny, especially when confronted with statements from neighbors. "if this car no kill you, you go kill am" said my own friend. I warn at last, problem solved. After a brief deliberation on what to do the rescue the car, we decided to procure for a gear that comes with the engine, because my engine is a V6. We got one from Aba for 280k, and ever then my car became born again till date, that was when we realized all the gears sold to me were for four(4)cylinder engine. When i asked how the whole exeprienced, even my mechanic could not know the differrence, his answer was that the both gears are similar with no mark to differenciate them. Now, i believe the present anomally i observed maybe be simple to get an advise from this platform: Friends, i like long distant waka and this french boy dey serve me well on that. My temperature increases when i am on the high way. Logically this should happen when i am in traffic, but it never happen, rather it gets normal, and i expect it to come down when i had plent wind on a high speed. What could be the cause....somebody help!!
