advanceDNA:Dangote refinery is a future "too big to fail" enterprise that will definitely see to future bailouts by the FG. There was no reason for it other than Dangote hoping on being granted certain privelages and concessions. |
RepoMan007:Damgote's major lamentation is that NNPC isn't giving him free crude |
DeLaRue:Can you imagine ? Federal govt is suffering from economic mad cow disease. Instead of concentrating on the lush green pasture, our federal cow is more interested in nibbling on its tail. NNPC must be unbundled and liquidated. The only reason it still exists is because of lazy state governors waiting for federal allocation at the end of the month. Cooperatism is lite communism. |
advanceDNA:Lafarge market share is insignificant when compared to Dangote . Besides, lafarge Nigeria only services the local market unlike Dangote who dumped cheap cement across West Africa by increasing cost in the Nigerian market. Now that is where you lost the argument and plot. |
RuggedBiafran:Correction ! While I see Jews as the number 1 plague afflicting the planet since the end of WW2, I see you Congo Jews as an insignificant gnat disgracing themselves with their cringe levels of subservience and slavery to Jews. You remain insignificant outside your nuisance level. |
advanceDNA:Why was Dangote cement retailing at a third of what it was going for in Nigeria in other African countries? Dangote has been abusing federal patronage at the detriment of other competitors in Nigeria . |
Omowale2023:I am by all definitions and colorations a libertarian and see govt as natural tyranny . Note that libertarians are not anarchists like our inbred IPOB and Obidient louts. I believe there must be a responsible central authority but one whose responsibilities and overreach do not in any way impede on the individual liberties of the citizens that it claims to govern. That aside, Nigeria has been running a mixed economy since the end of the civil war under the military heriachial dictatorship. Nationalization of resources and state corporatism is by far the worst road to follow. My vision for Nigeria is with a govt that is more committed in law and order than being rent seekers like the colonial system that was inherited and consecrated by subsequent military fiat dictatorships. What we need is a free market economy with strong regulation and anti monopolist laws. Dangote is a direct beneficiary of this flawed rent seeking and protectionist system. Space and time won't allow me to detail how Dangote abused the current system to be who he is today at the expense of other genuine businessmen . What I will suggest is a total unbundling of all and every govt owned corporations. The likes of NNPC and FAAN have been a net negative to the Nigerian economy . The reason NNPC still exists is because the politicians see it as a cash cow. Same goes for FAAN and every other govt owned cooperation. The best solution to meet local refined products was modular refineries and not the behemoth 600k bpd Dangote refinery that was floated and subsidised by govt. You should ask yourself why Dangote sited his refinery in Lagos and not the Niger Delta. The man has more ambitions selling refined products across the west African subregion. Lagos state should ensure they collect vat from this refinery and slap environmental tax on it. |
advanceDNA:I am bothered because it will see to FX flight and a reduction in FX earnings from crude sales . The only winner here is Dangote and his Jewish investors. Not you. |
SadiqBabaSani:When it comes upstream and you find out that petrol and diesel is much cheaper in neighbouring countries don't begin to lament. |
alanto:Fools that think they are lost Jews ? Ignore those Philistines. |
babasolution:It is of no value. We can use it as soft diplomacy to assert ourselves in the subregion but what is in it for us if those shithole countries bow to us?. Laslas , Dangote will be demanding more FX to pay his investors through the CBN. If you think Dangote will domicile his subregional market in Nigeria then you don't know Dangote. He will have marketing firms set up in all his markets so that he can collect his FX from there. |
RuggedBiafran:Sense no dey your head. Nah you drag your useless IPOB Jew affiliation here and I told you who is responsible for the lunacy going on in the north. I didn't expect any sensible contribution from an IPOB lout tho. |
advanceDNA:I provided the scenario of Dangote cement pricing in Nigeria being far higher than what it was retailing in other African countries and said this was due to Dangote's hunger for FX and market share in other countries which he was able to achieve through passing the cost of subsidizing his cement on the Nigerian market. The same scenario will play out with his refinery . So expect refined Dangote products to be cheaper outside Nigeria . |
babasolution:As long as Dangote has obligations to his international investors and lenders, it's a net negative. Capital flight and a scenario where Nigerians will pay higher than neighbouring African countries will persist just as was the case with Dangote cement. Nigerians were subsidizing Dangote cement inroads into neighbouring African countries. Dangote flooded the west African market with cheaper cement while the Nigerian consumer paid the subsidy on it. This was because Dangote needed FX to complete his refinery and pay his institutional investors and lenders. The only solution would have been modular refineries and the total unbundling of the NNPC . |
Let me explain... The refinery cost about $15bn to construct and most of that funding came from international institutional investors. What ever Dangote refinery will generate must go back to repaying his investors and lenders. So more capital flight. Dangote was thinking more of exporting refined products to neighbouring African countries and expected the FG to grant him subsidised crude at the detriment of national FX inflows. You will recall that at one time Dangote cement was selling cheaper in other African countries. This was because Dangote is more interested in FX than the naira. The same scenario is what he hopes to achieve with his 600k bpd refinery . That is, priotising exports to meet his investors and lenders. Don't even think for one second that Dangote refinery will crash the price of refined products. Rather , if it comes up stream, Dangote will priotize exports to local markets just as he did with his cement . Because Dangote needs to pay back his investors and lenders. |
RuggedBiafran:Blackrock's Larry Fink is definitely floating these terrorists just as they are behind the war in Ukraine - the country with the most fertile lands on the planet. The goal is to usher in an artificial famine globally so as to make GMOs and corporate owned farms take over the agricultural sector. But being the ever daft ipob clown you won't be able to piece things together. |
Hunger started creeping into the north during Buhari's dissatrous administration and was due solely to the unchecked menace of Fulani bandits who continue to harass Hausa farming communities. The hunger in the north is now exacerbated by northern middlemen who are buying up farm produce and exporting it to neighbouring West and Central African countries. The floating of the naira has seen to poor northerners being priced out by neighbouring African countries and the more affluent south. Until northerners begin to address the elephant in the room being the rampaging Fulani bandits , no headway can be made to solve the catastrophic deliberate man made famine ravaging the north. Entire rural communities in the NW have been displaced by these Fulani bandits . The only skill set these people have was to till the land. Go to any NW capital and see the deluge of IDPs existing as vagrants and beggars. The north won't tell themselves the truth. It's not fuel subsidy removal that is causing hunger. Nigeria under Buhari was declared the hunger capital of the world not because of fuel subsidy removal but because of the actions of non state actors in both the NE and NW that have displaced thousands of communities. We should learn to tell ourselves the truth . The average northern farmer will tell you his greatest threat to his livelihood is not fuel subsidy but rampaging gangs of terrorists and bandits who have made it their mission to usher in a man made famine. As for FX floatation, it was and remains the only way forward to cut the rent seekers who have made a lucrative career in round tripping. Note that all FX flows into the country come from only one source - oil sales and given OPEC quotas, crude oil loan swaps, huge debt profile, oil theft and a need to sustain an import and service based economy, there's no way Nigeria can continue defending the naira artificially. The reasons for the astronomical cost of food prices in Nigeria is as a direct result of terrorist and bandits harassing farmers. |
gidgiddy:Fool, I have been warning for years now to keep your useless Biafra to your useless SE. Try nonesense again and you will understand who your greatest nemesis are in this Nigeria. Fool |
OfoIgbo:Dem no born Una papa well to rethink the foolishness of Ojukwu . Try am again make we see. |
If there's one reoccurring theme among both the Obidient and their ipob Siamese twins, it's for the breakup of Nigeria.. The reasons for this is simply because they feel that with a divided Nigeria their annexation plot over the Niger Delta will meet little or no ressistance. This is why the likes of gidgiddy are more committed to breaking Nigeria into its initial composite makeup so as to restart their Ibo expansionism into the Niger Delta. You can see this with the idiot in the original post salivating over a northern exit. This is where it gets murky. They have shown their expansionism with Anioma state creation and their unrelentless attempts to claim SS as theirs and theirs only. North goes and I will assure them that SS will never ever be in any way or form yoked to the SE |
Omoawoke:I doubt that. Women from that side are very popular . |
jericco1:So should we expect an Ibo candidate with a Pagan-Muslim ticket ? Heathens. |
Omoawoke:Then stop claiming champions of Christianity in Nigeria. Heathens |
These are the same heathens who were championing Christian plight during the last elections and complaining bitterly about Muslim-Muslim ticket. Heathen swines . |
The Ibo mods have since decided to play ostrich with any bad news like this coming out of their Hobessian yeast. Seun, get rid of your igbotic IPOB Obidient mods. They are destroying this forum. |
oskylabs:All you Obidient cretins sound alike. The real bots are the foolish hero worshipping cult of Obi aka Obidients. You are the true definition of human bots aka zombies . |
oskylabs:See how childish and senseless you are. |
oskylabs:Guide to Obidient mob opposition politics: 1. Insult Tinubu daily 2. Extend the insult to those who voted and support Tinubu. 3. Lament on any and every issue. 4. Blame Tinubu for all and everything . 5. Repeat step 1. This is not opposition politics. Go and learn from PDP on how to play real opposition politics and not this your daily lamentation and insults you think you are playing opposition. Bitter leaf people. |
luvola:You are really daft you know that abi? |
The average Obidient cretin is devoid of original thought. Once they agree upon one new narrative to push they all go head on like a swarm of locusts on the mission. The whole Tinubu Bot thing being pushed by these real life NPC Obidient bots is because they see they are losing the argument here . |
The final destination of the abducted child was traced to a wealthy and influential individual in Enugu. The child has not been ascertained if he is still alive. I am of the suspicion that the child has since been murdered in what can only be described as ritual murder. No one can convince me otherwise that these baby factories and their network of child abductors and traffickers do not serve a more dark demand for human sacrificial ritual victims. There's no way you will have so much concentration of baby factories and child trafficking in only one region that had a history of human sacrifice and not come to the conclusion that human sacrifices are still well and alive in that cesspit. There's more that meets the eyes. |
