I deeply share in your pathetic concern. And having read both JesusDWay and Mozo beautiful point of views, I may be biased in my own suggestion because of my unyielding approach to solving problem. I have used it several times and it has been working for me. I have always believed in finding a solution to a faulty situation but not scraping it for a new way out.

Although, you can still wait till the tail end of the given period, my suggestion is, go ahead and apply.

The fact that Ontario is most generous of all the provinces, you have got a good chance of getting the PNP.

Understandably, you studied PE, however, you can still have your references reflect job description for a related program such as Biotechnology, chemical engineering e.t.c These are greatly demanded in Ontario. To prove my points, there are industries and schools in Ontario that have opportunities in these areas, though not as in high demand as they are in the Western part of Canada. You can check the job search boards e.g indeed.ca to see some related high demand jobs in Ontario to customize your references.
Be warned, the Ontario PNP (Express Entry) may get tougher has time goes on. This is an opportunity.

Above all, you need a strong faith!

Once again, congrats and I wish you good luck my brother, hopefully we get to seeā€¦ smiley

Thanks a lot Olabokey.....Amen, looking forward to see you in Canada!!

..Congrats broda... you may find this link helpful. http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNP_EE_CAPITAL.html#display. And Please do not waste time, apply sharp sharp. Ontario is the socio-economic hub of Canada. There is a lot of job opportunities. And it's a home away from home. Naija boku there. By the way, please what's your current CRS score?

Thanks Olabokey,
My current CRS is 400, and I am still contemplating applying to Ontario PNP.
I believe to get PNP nominees, profiles are screened based on the available job opportunities in the provinces
My concerns are; I am a Petroleum Engineer and I don't think there are lots of petroleum jobs in Ontario and I fear this will not be in my favor as I will be screened against other candidates with better suited professions

Would love to get advice from the ancestors on such a decision

What this means is that the Government of Ontario must have selected your profile from EE pool entry.

What you need to do is to formally apply for the Ontario PNP. Ensure you have all the required documents you submitted when you filled your EE profile, get more details here. http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/prodconsum/groups/csc/@oipp/documents/document/oi_en_hcps.pdf

After you have submitted all required documents, they will probably compare your stats with other candidates.
If selected, you will be sent a letter from the Government of Ontario confirming you have been short-listed.
You should then update your EE profile stating you've got a provincial nomination, then get ready for your ITA

NB note that you have 45 days to apply to the province of Ontario once you receive that mail sent to you, otherwise know as PT
Thats all.

Thanks a lot Mozo!!

Please shed more light, what was the provincial application like?

I just got a message on my CIC account.

The message goes like this;

Dear ........................................,

The Government of Ontario is interested in considering you for nomination under its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) through Express Entry.

If you want Ontario to consider you for nomination under its PNP you must contact Ontario directly after receiving this letter. Note that this letter of interest is not a guarantee that you will be nominated by Ontario. You will first have to satisfy Ontario that you meet the requirements of their program.

You can find general information about each province or territory's PNP program on the CIC website. You will also find a link to Ontario's PNP requirements and contact information.

Hoping to get some guide on the next steps to take on securing the PNP

You can't use the reference number, it's different from the number on your Test Report. You should have gone to their office to pick it instead of waiting for them to send it to you

@ Jesusdway,
Thanks Jesusdway for your prompt response.
I have sent them mails to inquire what I should do, but no response.
I did the exams in Benin centre and they do not have an office in Benin-city.
Does this mean I have to go to any of their offices in Lagos, Abuja or Port- Harcourt to collect the TRF ?
I don't believe it is too late for me to start heading there now...?

I believe your assessment will fly with Engineers Australia.

With that analysis (60points), you will be eligible for Visa subclass 189 and 190 but go for 189 instead.

Thanks NNBB2012....I really appreciate your response.

I will advise you don't wait for school to send your transcripts to WES, try look for someone who can help you collect it and give it to you while you send by courier, waiting for school can be a long thing as most Nigerian schools aren't known for promptness. Besides, I will also advise that you ask your school to provide an email which WES can contact for verification of your transcript. The verification process will be faster that way and reduce the period the it will take for the evaluation to be ready. If however your school doesn't provide for that, try and have an insider that can help monitor when WES will send for verification and as school responds, they can get it for you by hand so you send it yourself asap, waiting for school like I said might be long thing.
Expediting needed processes at this time may be expedient as i learnt there will be 15 draws for the EE this year(not totally sure but I saw something related), and six has already being done with an interval of at most 3 weeks(others have been 2 weeks). Therefore, it might be good to enter the pool asap for anyone who is interested in the scheme.
Finally, even if your wife to be doesn't want to follow you to Canada, it might be good for her to get the PR, will be easier for her to visit without needing go through the hassles of visa(not very sure how this works though but if it's possible, I think it's a good idea).

Thanks. JesusDway, I'll do just that ASAP

Greetings Solomonwis and JesusDway,

I stumbled across this forum and really appreciate the good job you guys are doing over here!!
I am about filling in for the EE, but I want your opinion on this;
I am currently single and an MSc Holder, and will soon be getting married to an undergraduate but I don't know how my future spouse's educational status will affect my CRS even as she doesn't intend to travel to Canada with me.

kindly enlighten me on what effects I should expect on the CRS?
