Deltamani: The defensive job she’s going to do as a Winger is enough, She’s out no.1 play marker upfront. Randy can’t risk taking her that deep. She will be the one to take on the fullbacks, draw them off positions, run at them, cut in and cross in.. Abeg Ajibade should remain on the wings.. I sense Randy playing Echegini on the left wing too, but with report from Camp now Uchenna Kanu is now very fit to play.!
Onumonu still on game management for sure.. I think you should draft your preferred formation and personnel. What you quoted is a 3-5-2 formation and I went with two forwards. No wingers. With 4 at the back, Ajibade will be on the wing for sure. |

Deltamani: Esther Okoronkwo, Uchenna Kanu, Ifeoma Onumonu and Rasheedat Ajibade are going to do more of wingers job..!
While Chinwendu Ihezuo, Asisat Oshoala and Macleans Chinonyerem at No.9
I don’t mind playing Kanu — Macleans — Ajibade against Japan and deal with them with crosses from the top! They can’t compete with a strong Macleans in the air at all.. She’s the only one as good as Oparanozie in the air in the middle of two to three defenders..! Kanu is also good at getting at the end of crosses, this is another advantage we can use against Japan.. But who to do the Crosses?? No Babajide It is a 3-5-2. The formation is 3-5-2 and I didn't include any winger. All our forwards are versatile anyway. |

Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 12:13pm On Jul 24, 2024 |
Deltamani: You’re already limiting our key player abilities… Rasheedat Ajibade must play from the flank.. We need Toni Payne in that AM to help carry the ball, sprint forward and also unsettle our opponents DM’s Ajibade can still play from the wing now depending on how the game flows. Moreso, I think she is better in midfield. Trust me, it was so difficult to leave out Tony Payne. |

lovewins: I agree with the formation but not the personnel. At no point should Nicole be played on the left. Randy will be very silly to try it again since the dew times he experimented it turned out to be a disaster. Nicole is better suited at the right side leave her there.
I will replace Nicole with Ajibade since she's great defensively and put Toni in the middle. The right wing can be Nicole or Alozie depending on Randy's preference.
Your choice of attack is also puzzling. Ihezuo and Macleans are the same people and they both are yet to prove themselves. They also will be playing together for the first time. That's a disaster waiting to happen. I'll take Ihezuo and Asisat or Esther. I think you skipped my first line. Not my fault that Randy didn't invite a suitable LB. If at all I'm going to make change because of Nicole, I would rather move Alozie to LWB and Nicole to RWB. Playing Ajibade as a WB is just a mismatch. You need her upfront. Macleans and Ihezuo? I went for a combination of explosiveness and physicality. Bear in mind the team is set up to defend deep and counter. Of course Oshoala will have to come in later in the game. Who exactly in that attack has been able to prove herself aside Oshoala? I see Okoronkwo more like a winger than a forward. |

Deltamani: Can we all bring in our Analysis of how the SuperFalcons play..! And how they can overcome their opponents.. Let’s analyze the SuperFalcon with available players, Spain, Japan and Brazil.. Any football fan would know the team is disjointed. Anyway, I would go with three at the back due to two principles. The first is not to give any space in midfield, and the second is not to give space behind for opponents to run to. Ohale - Tosin - Okeke Alozie- Deborah - Ajibade - Ucheibe - Nicole Ihezuo - Macleans I would have preferred Kanu ahead of Macleans but the former is not fit. Ihezuo will be there for the heavy duty work. She is capable. With Alozie and Nicole as the WBs, All Ucheibe and Deborah need to do is to screen, no need venturing forward. |

Deltamani: One thing I noticed most times from Randy’s interviews he only make mention of himself, Karl and the new game analyst brought in for the Olympics.. which is 3 of them.
He hasn’t talked about the Nigerian Assistant Coaches with him more like they don’t contribute anything or what? At least I want to hear him mention them like they do this and that to help the team..
Anyway I mostly see Ann Chiejene and the goalkeeper Coach as the only active Coaches among the Nigerian Coaches in the team, Madugu nothing.! The Nigerian assistants were likely imposed on him if not he would surely mention them. You know how NFF is now. They would employ the coach and still appoint assistants for him. |

TheGoodJoe: Will Real Madrid Park Bus to play Sheffield United? This is just common sense. A team Parks Bus against stronger teams.
Parking bus is a good indicator to tell the stronger team. This is just common.
Man City will not park bus against Burnley.
Na wa. You have never seen a big club park bus against weaker teams before? You're one of those who preaches moral here on this thread and I find it laughable you're not being honest over an unfounded argument. You follow EPL FFS. Arsenal have done it many times in the last couple of seasons. Against Inter Milan, City did it to protect their one-goal lead. Chelsea, Manchester United and even Liverpool do it against smaller teams. I can't believe you're the one who typed that. A self-acclaimed football analyst fah. Infact tell us the ranking of the teams we played at the last AFCON and the tactic we used against them. |

TheGoodJoe:
I said, deciding the park the bus is accepting the other side is superior.
When Jose Mourinho decided to Park Bus against Barcelona, with 5 Central defenders, he was acknowledging the Superiority of Barcelona.
Whether he wins the game does not make his team superior. You can tell the Superiority from the respect to Park Bus against Barcelona.
Arsenal have won games against Manchester City in recent times and we have won some games too. However, you can tell Superiority by Arsenal on multiple occasions choosing to Park Bus against Manchester City.
So, Ancelotti choosing to Park Bus against Manchester City shows his respect of the Superiority of the system. You can't be better or believe you are better and Park Bus. I think you should drop this argument bro. It is kinda.. lemme not talk. Now back to what I asked you, tell us how you come about the bolded. Back it up please. That's exactly what I asked you and you have repeated same statement now. |

TheGoodJoe: My point is very simple. When Ancelotti chose to park bus against the system, he accepted the superiority of the modern game. So it is hypocritical to condemn it after accepting its superiority.
The point is simple.
It is not Ancelotti is a park bus coach.
It is not that Ancelotti has not won trophies.
It is not Ancelotti is not a sound tactical coach.
It is about Ancelotti accepting how superior the system is and deciding to park bus against it. Then trying to criticize it is hypocritical. And how does parking the bus made your team superior? I mean logically, whichever team that wins a match is the superior team. So I ask, how does the fact that a team parked the bus made them inferior? Back it up with valid facts please. |

Even with all his technical qualities, Mainoo that used to bully opponents with power and pace in the academy sometimes struggles to keep up with the pace in the senior game. That one shocked me.
Patino should be the one going to Spain. Azeez can go to Germany or a similar league. Suits his game better. yea.. I quite agree with you. You people should reduce the workload on Mainoo this season though. |
