Loudmouth aside, she knows the koko that’s the main point..

But again if it was the USWNT I guess we won’t be calling it Loud mouth. As a Coach Ommiting a player name like Megan Rapinoe from your Squad, you will have to give reasons that she’s injured or chose to be excluded but not in our case here in Africa especially Nigeria..!
I didn't mean it as an insult sha. She is too outspoken. If she ends up being a coach, we might have the female version of Jose Mourinho. grin

He is not.

There is something I need you to clarify. Did Amunike specifically demanded for that percentage or was the money given as a 'gift'?

What's all this talk about Emma, is it cos he is in the frame of things to become our next Coach that this is coming up nowhuh

The Article shared by Elder Kog45, Clearly stated he was given, not that he demands it, so what's all this fuse about,

or if any Club decides to Pay Rohr for helping Okoye to vetting signed by spartan, he is now crookhuh

we are our Own enemies without knowing it
You sef dey see am?

If as a coach, one of my players got a good deal abroad and the family decided to gift me a small percentage of the developmental fee, I will collect it inasmuch as it is not illegal.

However, if I negotiate with one of my player's camp to find him a good club abroad on the basis that I would collect a certain percentage of the transfer fee, that is bribery.

From the screenshot posted by Elder Kog, the 5% of the fee was actually given to Amunike AND his coaching crew. That was after the tourney o. Not like he collected the money before the tourney.

As stated in Annexe 4 art. 3 section 1, training compensation occurring as a result of the player signing his first professional contract, shall be divided between all the clubs that contributed to the player’s training. In the case of subsequent transfers however, training compensation is paid only to the player’s former club.

You guys are missing out on Faith Ikidi… I believe she’s one of the most experienced and intelligent footballer to play for the SuperFalcons as she understands the game very well... I hope she become a Coach someday.!
I remember in one game when she was telling Franny that she was pressing too high and need to calm down.

Might start with Pitea IF in Sweden as she’s a legend there and highly respected in the OBOS Damallskevenskan League..

Ngozi Okobi is another one too..
On a lighter note, Okobi is too loudmouthed to be a coach. grin grin

Lol, you know during that first leg where we won I was absent due to my health and unfortunately I wasn't able to watch the match.

I later watched the full match and mehnnn, against very strong defenders and good Midfield, Haaland will do Zilch!!
After that "body" Saliba gave him, my guy started running away from him moving towards Gabriel but even that one na werey! cheesy

Halaand just need Kdb to unlock him against good defence. The both matches he had no shot on target against us had one thing in common — absence of Kdb.

I fear past Man City over this present Man city (not denying this one isn't great too) but that one you no go know who to hold. D.Silva, Sane, Mahrez, Gundo, Fernandinho. All these people no need Haaland by their side make you fear dem cheesy
City of those years are very dangerous. You no go know who you wan mark sef. It is baffling how they didn't go unbeaten. But now, they have kinda become predictable. They don't have the fear factor like before. Take away Rodri and Benardo from their midfield and everywhere go become expressway. Haaland no dey get connection without KDB.

Arsenal is getting there sha. Imagine the like of Jesus, Partey, Zinchenko, Tomiyasu struggling for a starting spot.

Very very unpredictable and non-reliant.

I watched analysis on our game against Newcastle and I saw how Saliba and Gabriel Man Marked Isak because he's their striker. From the way we press them, their only hope was punting the ball straight to Isak but trust our CBs na cheesy.
Even when he tries to go deep into the midfield, they know he's their traditional CF thus there's no means of him rotating with anyone hence dem dey follow am bumper to bumper.

But a fluid 9 will drag you (the CBs) out of position and some other player will fill in that space been vacated by the CBs. Look at our first goal against Liverpool (3-1), our 9 Havertz was already deep near our 18 assisting in buildup, hence nobody for Van Dijk or Konate to hold. When the ball came upfield, our furthest player was Odegaard whom Van Dijk assumed was the present 9 at that instant hence he went to press him. Pressing him vacated a space at the back of him which Havertz quickly ran into from deep and Odegaard laid a one time pass. Havertz fvcked up with his shooting but then we saw how it destabilised the defence. Same thing we've been doing in this our high wins recently. Sometimes you see Havertz in CF, sometimes you see Martinelli there and Havertz have drop deep, sometimes Odegaard pops into the space and sometimes even Saka. The confuses the CBs on who to mark cos if you Man mark person, dem fit drag you enter Midfield and another person will take that vacant space. A traditional 9 won't allow all these movements.

There's also a big reason Haaland never had a shot on goal against us in the last two meetings (EPL and community shield. Shocking right?). Gabriel and Saliba (esp) knows that he's a traditional 9 and he can't be fluid to drag them out of position for someone to take space. Moreover, he can't bully dem as him deh do others cos they're both strong and very fast with great intelligence. It's no coincidence most top coaches opts for fluid 9

Sorry, I know say e long grin
This is a perfectly carved brilliant submission. Long ke? I will finish it o. Unless you're Captain Kmk, I like reading other's opinions because I tends to learn one or two things.

Exactly, it'll be really really difficult and it'll be really really hard. To find such a Striker deh very very hard and the only person wey I fit think of na prime Suarez.

Omorr, and there's no how he'll be scoring back to back that they(others) won't subconsciously play for him. Look at Man city that normally have players in double figures season in season out (at least 3) now have just only Foden crossing the double figure mark with just one goal. Even Kdb that was known for goals and assists suddenly turn only assist maker. And this is a whole Pep team ooo.

I love my team like this to be honest, but if a striker comes and we stop spreading goals, omorr I go vex cry
Gbam! You have said it all. Another striker who does this well is Harry Kane.
And yea, about 3 city players used to hit double figures in goals those years until they bought Haaland. I like how goals do spread across the entire frontline. It makes the team unpredictable.

Ohhh. I get your angle nowww

Haba

Was that your fear?

The modern 9 is now a norm already now.

Martinez
Vlah
Toney
Kane
Boniface
Lewa

Haaland
Osimhen

Alll are not waiting and strolling like Nketiah does sometimes. All contribute.

Recall i said a 9 that will do what Haaland did offball to Man U CBs, thereby creating space for Foden and co to exploit and scatter things
Of all you mentioned here, Kane, Boniface and maybe Toney are those that perfectly suit your insinuation. Others are pure 9s. I've not watched Vlahovic much except on YouTube. Martinez is just like Gabriel Jesus but he doesn't have the physical presence. Thuram is to Martinez, what Giroud was to Mbappe.

See, i understand our free scoring mode. But it is like na you still wan fry downplay what such addition will do yo this team(rem i put more threat in brackets?)

If you bin the idea that a 9 will disrupt this flow, and rather see a sensitive and quick thinking finisher that doesn't have time to waste and loves the net, you'll not need to be afraid of such arrival.

An arrival far better than Kai and Jesus and Nketiah combined is a juicy arrival that will spell fear to rivals more than now.

All I've ever done is highlight what a net lover and bully will add to this team. It is inevitable and the fluidity should be imagined! Lol
Ok..let me rephrase. 'The net lover' must be ready to do more than goal scoring if you want us to keep up with the goalfest. If all he does is just to score goals, it will affect our goal returns.

No condition is permanent. That's where Barca and Spain messed up. Tiki is still a good philosophy but strikers add value still. If we want to sustain threats(mind you were are already) we need to do what the big boys do. We need someone to match Auba numbers. Heck, we've not had any match RVP sef in forever. It's what the big boys do and i know MA knows that.

We'll play City soon and we are all subconscious of Haaland where he is effective that day or not, but what he can do if we slip up. That's the impression i want on other teams playing us going forward.

Just recently we saw how absence of a 9 affected our Porto game. Like it is embarrassing having 0 shot on goal for a team flying in space in 2024 so far. A natural will have registered 1 or 2 shots at least. It's their instincts. We'll come good. See it as firing from all canisters or cylinders
How we want take explain again o.
Dave, you want us to add a traditional 9 to the team and start feeding him passes. If any 9 is coming, it won't be in the mould of Haaland. Having a top o who is only concerned about scoring will be detrimental to the team's development.

Imagine Nigeria without Osimhen during the last AFCON. Don't you think our chance of winning will drastically reduce? That's the kind of team you want us to be. A team that shift the entire focus on the striker. A team that is toothless without their talisman. We saw how this panned out when Auba was still here FFS.

One thing you should note is that you can't expect goals to be coming from every part of the pitch yet still expect the 9 you're suggesting to score 30 goals in a season. That's close to impossible. You can only choose one. The reasons why we're clamouring for another striker is because Jesus is injury proned, he is not clinical and due to his height (maybe). What you're suggesting is not feasible.

Maybe that Halimatu Ayinde Woman Marking Magic thing will have to play in at this stage to cage Aitana
Exactly... quality-wise, I think we parade the one o the best if not the best midfield combo in Africa. Ayinde and Ucheibe on their days are not allowing anything to get past them. Then there is Deborah Abiodun too. Our only issue is the forward department.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by mostob(m): 4:54pm On Mar 05, 2024
Barca has made a lot of questionable transfers recently. Romeu na waste of space. A La masia kid would have been better utilised for that DM position. The defence is decent but work needs to be done tactically.

Injuries to Gavi, Pedro and FDJ has depleted the strength of the midfield. Romeo can't function without Juliet. Gundo is trying but he can't do all the job. Fermin is trying but his inexperience sometimes show during games.

Attack is average. Raphina is still playing like a school kid. He is at the age where he should be singlehandedly deciding a match but he still wants to be spoon-fed. Lewa dey play like agbaya. Still not convinced on Roque. Felix is just there. Yamal is trying but he is young.

Omo... Barca needs a rebuild. Unfortunately there is no money so the board has got to improvise.

And.... Xavi must go!!!

First thing first, Barca should bring in a good coach who has a good plan. Rebuild should then follow while the deadwoods in the team get eased out with better replacement coming in. It is simple. I believe there are players that can still hold the fort till the team completely 'heals'.

There are lot of changes to be made especially the medical sector. But Chaibritannia wants Mbappe and Messi. grin

The question here is it right for a national team coach to take cut from his player transfer? YES or NO
This is a two-way question. There are lot of bonuses and commissions attached to a player's transfer. From what I heard and read, parents do benefit from their son's transfer depending on the negotiation. So if the player's agent decides to add the coach among the beneficiaries of these bonuses and commissions, I don't think it is wrong. In this scenario, I think it's a gift.

However if the team coach engaged in something shady in order to have a share of the transfer fee, that is unethical.
