daveP: I was about saying this when i saw that it is Chris Danjuma again. Where are the ex Falcons now? See the Ellis most of them played against now a force on the continent. We need our own Ellis. A new one as Mama Flo dey already. Not all of them have the passion for coaching!!! Moreso, some may have but may not have the mental strength to deal with NFF. And also, some may have already communicated their desire but because of egunje and padipadi stuff, their offers were declined. |

What I know is their plan will fail. I won't be surprised if they rule out another legit goal by 'forgetting' to draw a line. We should try and score 5, they can rule out 3 ..then we go home with the remaining 2 and 3 points. |

Yesterday's match was just too orgasmic. These players didn't just enter the pitch to play, but to enjoy themselves. The way they were slicing through the midfield eh... To think we're the away team. Positionally, we didn't play with any CB during most part of the first half. We used one half of the field to demolish them. Before the match got to the 15th minute, the home fans were already leaving. Kudos to Wilder though. I've never seen such passion and dedication. I mean, your team was losing by six goals with just 3 minutes to go yet you stood at the touchline barking out instructions. That was so cool On Partey... That was a nice cameo. Although you could see the rustiness but he still showed his bossy attitude on the pitch. On Vieira... I was glad to see him on the pitch yesterday. I missed his incisive passes especially his ball striking efficiency. On Havertz... The excuse I gave then was that he is low on confidence, and that he needs time. 3G1A in 3 games is a substantial proof of how high his confidence is currently. I still don't like how em dey fall easily like naira under small touch. Make one short guy dey fall giant like him? o wrong now. |

TheGoodJoe: What is actually unrealistic is believing our constant cut and join approach will help us build into a great side.
The zigzag nature of international football even emphasizea why we need a more structured and long term approach, to improve team coherence and building.
Finally, yes we don't have the luxury of club transfer windows. However, this is where ruthless and thorough scouting comes into play. The team needs to stay fluid and we keep searching for the very best to fit their roles and philosophy.
Our rigid approach actually harms our growth. Ok |

Mujtahida: Spain tiki taka dazzled the world for just four years. After that dem kpo kpo dem 5-1. Now they are just as pedestrian as they used to be before their tiki taka juju took the world by surprise. Thank you. Let me add that Spain success within that time frame didn't just bore than on philosophies and tactic alone. Half of their squad played together in the same club so there has always been synergy between the players. You go use 15 years learn work only for one Cape Verde team to expose your tikitaka with their Emilokan football. |

Declan Rice on his set-pieces: "We'd actually been having conversations about it with Nico [Nicolas Jover], the set-piece coach, since the start of the season," he says. "Obviously because of my height [6-foot-1], he's wanted me in the box. I just feel like he wanted a switch up. If I hadn't got the assist [against Palace], I don't think anyone would have been talking about it.
"Obviously I've been putting in good deliveries near middle, back post in games. I get excited by getting assists now. It is a big thing for me. Whereas before, goals and assists weren't really my thing. But now I like getting assists, getting goals and I feel it gives me that extra energy on the pitch. I'm striving, I've got targets between the end of the season, what I want to hit." #arsenalfanaticsnews |

The target is not refusing to qualify but judging on a carefully planned playing target. If you target improvement in scouting players, developing players and playing style. Then carefully monitor the playing progress, even if you don't qualify, in a few years, you will be doing better than just qualifying. Qualifying and going to tournaments can never be compared to going to a tournament and making a big impact. Morocco went to the last world cup and made impact. I guess they have been preparing for 15 years right. |

chrisooblog: Asking fans to trust and be patient with a process not yielding results is unrealistic.
Besides football evolves no one style guarantees you success over a long period of time. Countries that have won trophies did so with various formations and styles over a period of time. Thank you bro. Let me also add the quality of players these countries parade. |

TheGoodJoe:
First of all, there is nothing like found out because there is a term called MASTERY. As long as you keep mastering your philosophy, you will stay ahead and win more. It is also easier to dominate in the long run.
Than spending your days trying to adapt with up-to-date tactics.
Get a sound philosophy and keep building on it. That is the only way to long term success. Any other thing is less.
Perfecting possessive play means improving in all aspects. Technique, positioning, movement, passing etc.
Than looking for short wins. You are not taking the time factor into consideration here. Take for instance, it took Arteta 3 seasons before Arsenal could get up and running. That is like 3 years of constant training and practising. There were also transfer windows during which he could acquire the players he wanted. Do you think these luxuries are made available to international coaches? No transfer, no adequate training time yet you want us to keep building for 15 years. That's unrealistic. International football is short term so philosophies and whatever should be for short term. By the time a team master a particular philosophy, they would have sink into the bottom..far below the poorest teams. |

TheGoodJoe: An important excerpt of the article. Unless you're talking about management and off field aspects. Using 15 years to build dominance in international football is crazy. It is a plan that is insane and unachievable. Let's even set aside age issue, what of the constant and frequent evolvement of football? By the time you use 15 years to perfect your tikitaka football, teams you're hoping to dominate would have evolved with up-to-date tactic. Let me also add that your team will be found out. It will be so easy to prepare against your team because oppositions already figure out what to expect. |
