That's one of the lessons I learnt from that All or Nothing documentary. Most times we fans form opinions based on little or no information at our disposal without actually knowing the full story. Na so we roast Arteta that time thinking he was too harsh on Auba
I get boss. Infact that was part of our recent argument here concerning the youngsters. For a secretive coach like Arteta, we fans will need to calm down.

Arteta on Balogun not available against Barca:

“He wasn’t available – he had a little foot injury, and he hasn’t been training with us, and he wasn’t available to us, that was the reason.”

Pressed further on whether Balogun still has a role to play in his plans, the Gunners boss said: “Yes, we will have to see. First of all, he has to be fit and available to play minutes
.”
Na wa o...it is good not to make an hasty conclusion sha. I even joined others to criticize Arteta yesterday on this Balogun's issue.

Arteta on why Declan Rice and Zinny was unavailable against Barca:

Dec had quite a strong kick in training and didn’t want to take the risk, he wasn’t comfortable to train yesterday and today, and we decided not to play him. With Alex, he had a muscular injury again, unfortunately. He’s getting back - I think he’ll be back soon, but it’s a shame that he hasn’t been with us the whole tour
Na wa o... what's wrong with Zinchenko sef? Ordinary training, you dey get injury. I think Trusty should stay just in case sha.

I think the problem with Arteta is that he’s too direct when dealing with players . He doesn’t even consider the player’s emotions and other stuff . I remember the Saliba issue back then, he made it quite obvious Saliba was as not in his plans and just couldn’t even consider making the fact known in a subtle manner .

I don’t know if they take psychology courses when taking their badge , but these coaches need to know some of the decisions they make on and off the pitch has psychological effect on the players they coach/manage
In his recent interview, Saliba said Arteta didn't talk to him when he came back.

Patino scored on his debut, uefa applauded Azeez for his performance in europa, when dubbery came in the loss to Juventus in the friendly he was so important the team was using his wing to attack
All these are eye catching oya tell us awilo eye catching moment
If your eye-catching phrase is by applaud and the level of importance then why are you doubting my stance? Against Brentford, Lokonga was one of our best players. According to sofascore, he ended up with a rating of 7.3. Against Chelsea, he was also a bright spark and arguably our best performer. Let me remind you that he was APPLAUDED too, and was IMPORTANT TO THE TEAM.

Anyway, my aim is not to compare but to show you that a player may have an eyecatching debut and end up not performing to expectations. This is why I used Lokonga as an example. Arteta is the only one who knew the reason why he is not using these kids.

How does this translate to catching the eye ?
iamoyindamola will be the one to answer this. According to him Azeez, Patino and Duberry caught the eyes the few times they played. The same way Sambi caught the eyes too in his first game but couldn't keep it up.

That is why i said if arteta didn't give them the opportunity how will they prove him wrong
The last time azeez, patino and dubbery played for the senior they caught eyes until arteta stopped playing them
Should I remind you that Lokonga caught eyes on his first couple of games before he fell off. Most of this youngsters may have shown potential but are they ready? Take for instance Tim Akintola before he went on loan. Despite the fact that we needed a DM badly, he was not called up to the senior team.

I am not really exonerating Arteta because I believe there are some games where these youngsters should have got to play but he didn't give them any chance. However looking at it from another angle, I'll give him a benefit of doubt.

It's not sentiment. Its the fact that we have taken this mentality for decades with virtually nothing to show and prove that it is the best to adopt as a pattern over the decades. We see other footballing nations giving chance to players in developing phase and they got better. The question is "can't someone be developing while getting exposure at same time?" Or is there any rule or stats that prove it is highly detrimental to our players? Now this same Esther you picked, we all agree she is still developing, but we know that she can do stuff if she gets a spot. The two can go hand in hand.

Or are the u17 players fielded by other nations as talented as the Nigerian ones?

We just need to bin that mentality. It is working for many. Why is it suddenly so different when e reach our side?

How else does one garner experience and team spirit if not by inclusion?

If there are no surprising moves, there will be no revelations. Sentiment or not.

All these are for tomorrow sha. We meuve.
Your answer to the bolded ..Club side.

The ones invited to the national team, were they not part of the U20 teams? Must we fill the team with all the U20 girls?

Different countries with different structures. Oya name the U17s in this world cup and let's check their profile. For the last time, that other teams are doing so doesn't mean we should do the same. Those who included the U17s in their team did so due to the exceptionality of the player or due to the fact that there is no better option.

Is viera even better than patino
Or maquinhos better than dubbery

These guys will surely improve if he has given them opportunities but our coach want to be a cheque book manager

Tomiyasu on his injury -

"Yes, it was a difficult period for me. Ben White was doing very well and to be honest I lost confidence. But the injured period was four months and I thought about a lot of things at this time.

"You need to learn from the injuries, also the mistakes from the Manchester City game as well (where his error allowed Kevin De Bruyne to open the scoring in February's top-of-the-table clash at the Emirates)."

" You have good and bad moments but you need to learn a lot of things from the bad moments. Now I am feeling good, not only for the body, but my head also like career, yeah, it’s all positive."

Tim Akinola has revealed the advice Mikel Arteta gave him.

He said: “Arteta has done a good job of bringing people together. I spoke to him more before I went out on loan than now that I've been on loan…He's a very honest manager, he will tell you what you're good at and what you need to work on.”

On what Arteta said to him, Akinola said: “He said to me I'm very, very good in terms of tenacious, off the ball, winning the ball back from people, working hard. Midfield is the most demanding position, he wants me to be more crisp with my passes.”( BallersMindsetPodcast) #arsenalfanaticsnews

Accuracy determines finishing.
She has positioning, speed and finishing..

I doubt the bolded. There's no better way the team is setup up properly than now. I was among those who was in favour of Arteta not giving the youth chance first because the team isn't properly set up then. I thought once everything is set, he'll look their way but Omorr... embarassed

And if you talk about investment, I thought buying player who's better than your academy is investment. I don't get the idea of us buying youths that's not even as talented as our youth team. Imagine the kind of height Duberry might have reached now if he had that Marquinhos chance. Na wetin dey pain me be that embarassed
Bro...we just get to the final stage of setting up the team properly. Let's see what happens this season. Duberry has been more involved this time around. His chance will come soon. Patino and Azeez pain me sef but then it is what it is.
