Napoleon55: But whatever anyone wishes, they should stop wishing to be paired with Ghana or South Africa no matter how strong our team may appears to look. They have proving to be capable of stopping us in the past.
Those two countries have stopped us from going to world cup on two occasions, therefore,it would not be prudent to be wishing to play them so we can have our revenge, even though we can never be afraid of them. The same way I can never wish to be paired with Argentina in any world cup, even though I believe we are capable of defeating them on a good day. But if however we get paired with any of them,we can then boldly approach the encounter as boldly as we have always done, But it's just better to avoid them altogether.
This na my own take. Nah I disagree. 1. If you want to be a champion, you must be prepared to face anybody. 2. South Africa didn't stop us. We hurt ourselves. Drawing Zimbabwe and the likes at home was criminal (with due respect to the opponent). We got another chance via playoff, we blew it. Nobody stopped us. We simply self-sabotaged our chances |

Brother Jover came in and set piece became bonus for us. We're labeled set piece FC. I can't forget that Saka miss against Liverpool. Proper set piece execution.
Heinze came in and our defence improved massively.
Arteta, abeg find an offensive coach. You're a manager. Not a coach. |

FiveFootNinja: Just went back to watch the highlights of the previous two AFCONS and how close we came in both, and the heartbreak that followed.
Abeg this country don too suffer. AFCON 2027 is non-negotiable. We MUST win it. And every African team we jam must collect heavy beating from us next edition.
And I want us to jam at least two of these teams -- Morocco, DR Congo and South Africa -- on our way to the title. We have serious scores to settle with them. Mank1234 I've been observing you two since FiveFootninja made this post. I see nothing wrong in what he said here. Looking at how our last 3 AFCONs ended, he is right to set a target. His statement here is more of aspiration rather than boastful. It's non negotiate. We must win the coming AFCON because we have what it takes. We're even stronger now squad-wise. So please.. Make both of you settle. Una two na big men here. Men of big titles. Men of timber and calibre. |

I'm not too comfortable with Saliba playing in world cup with his injury. Rumour has it that he declined surgery so he can participate in the world cup.
God forbid but Umtiti came to mind. |

My understanding on Ethan Nwaneri:
At this stage, every option remains on the table — another loan, a permanent move, or staying as part of the first-team squad. A clearer picture should emerge over the next month when Ethan and his representatives meet with Arteta.
Despite reports linking him with clubs such as Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund, I’m told there are currently no negotiations taking place.
That said, it’s no secret that relations between Ethan’s father and Mikel Arteta have been strained, particularly over the proposed Marseille loan, which the Nwaneri camp strongly favoured. Arsenal’s concerns were reflected in their push to include financial penalties tied to a lack of playing time.
The market could also influence the outcome. If a significant offer arrives, Arsenal will have a major decision to make.
Personally, I still believe the right loan move is the best pathway — giving Ethan the minutes, development and experience all parties want to see.
It’s also worth noting that Ethan’s future could have a knock-on effect on whether Emerson Nwaneri signs his scholarship.
Right now, I’d be surprised if Ethan Nwaneri is still in red and white after pre-season, but we’ll see how things develop.
For now, all possibilities remain open. |

BlueRayDick: I like the news I'm hearing that we want to wrap up our business in the Transfer market this window ASAP without any unnecessary delay or negotiations drawing far too long. It is music to my ears
The fact that we are in a good place financially and we have a serious/solid team that just won the league definitely makes it easy for us to attract top talents in the market.
I just hope we will clear our departure list too early. Let players like Gabriel Jesus and co be gone ASAP so we can know those who are staying and those leaving on time.
I don't know Arteta's mind as regards Nwaneri , but if he will be staying we might not need to get another AM to deputize Odegaard and Eze. I think it will be best Nwaneri is developed for that AM role while Dowman should be for that RW behind Saka and Madueke. Nwaneri might be heading to Villa as part of the Morgan deal. |
