FIFA planned it perfectly. But with uefa doing it’s best to oust fifa as the number football governing body what do you expect.

Uefa keeps pumping out different tournaments to render the players prone to injury.

This is just a power tussle nothing more
You might have a point because I still don't understand the relevance of the Nation's league

The problem is political

Other countries are claiming Qatar bought the right to host. Remember the sepp blaster scandal

And the fact Qatar doesn’t give a Bleep about all these our western lgbtq nonsense is making most countries fans call for a boycott of the tournament.

The complains aren’t coming from the players but the fans

And imagine Ukraine telling fifa to ban Iran and replace Iran with Ukraine like what is going on
Yea.. it is political. They shouldn't spoil this beautiful game with politics sha

Another aspect of Osimehn game that he has improved on is “heading” last season, he scored like 6 headed goals. This is why, when we contructively criticize a player, it’s for their own benefit
I hope you start practising what you preach henceforth senior man

Maybe you've overate the players beyond their quality
It is not overrating. It is knowing the worth of the team. Tell me which African team has the squad depth and quality the Super falcons currently has.

And in my second paragraph, I mentioned my least expectation. For 2 years now, we don't even know our best Midfield pairing nor the attack pairing. The team is just like a herd of sheep without a shepherd and direction.

Bro just imagine the hottest weather you have experienced in Nigeria now dial it up by 100 not funny at all to face.
I know but moving it to mid season because of weather is also a bad move health-wise. Since covid, the fixture schedules have been congested and yet Fifa still moved the world cup to mid season.
Fifa didn't plan this well at all

This is literally a desert that’s where Qatar is located water breaks won’t cut it.

Because most of those players and and fans aren’t used to that kind of heat. Just a common heat wave kills people not to talk of a live desert sun Omo you go feel an hot hot
Then why not just give another country the hosting right. Infact, this weather aspect is part of what should be considered when countries want to bid for hosting.

The place is literally a desert you want players or fans to pass out of die of heat stroke
I get you bro but there would be a way around it somehow...
They can take a water break...
And I heard some of the stadiums already have air conditioner. I'm not sure though.
Infact, moving the tourney to mid season is even more dangerous.

I don talk am tey tey say the world cup no fo sweet..
Aside the injuries, there's also the politics... Qatar is a religiously strict country.. Western countries will go there and try to promote things that won't sit well with Qatar culture and traditions.. Already,9 countries have agreed to wear rainbow captain bands to support LGBTQ rights...
I'm expecting a lot of lawsuits between FIFA and European FAs after this tournament
Oh...I wanted to mention this too but I don't want it twisted into religion battle. The rules are too extreme for a tourney as big as the world cup IMO. The fanfares and fun are part of what make world cup interesting and sadly, we may not be having those this year.

I agree that a mid season WC is shyte

But Son or Davies missing out has little impact on WC o. It's not like Canada or South Korea are a team we'd rush to our TVs to watch
Yea...you have a point but what makes a tournament interesting is its competitiveness. Both players I mentioned are very very very important part of their team. The more teams keep losing their players to injury, the less competitive the tourney. The winner might just walk straight to the title.

This upcoming World cup might just turn out to be a nonsense tournament.

Son and Alphonso Davies might not be available for their national team for the tourney due to injury.

Fixing this world cup in mid season is just a foolish move...

I don't know why some are still dwelling on this Onuachu argument here. I mean the fact speaks for itself. Simy is a perfect example...he scored 20 goals in serie A and couldn't secure a decent move...

But does that mean Onuachu and simy are bad players? No

Despite Aguero being the better striker, Pep once benched him for Jesus.

Football is now evolving... Coaches don't just look at the goals alone, they look at other things a striker can offer.

Onuachu is good but the other aspects of his game might be why clubs are not looking his way. Can he drop to the flank as an outlet? What about his work rate (pressing)? Are his final passes good? Can he serve as a decoy? What about dropping deep for buildups? These and other things are part of what modern coaches look for in a striker.

Forget the goal today, Osimehn was poor...
A striker that can not collect ball from the keeper, dribble the entire Midfield and score is an average striker.

The two goals are up for vote as our goal of the month of October. Imagining current arsenal without Partey is like chewing raw bitterleaf without cooking

I was saying this to someone, is a big crime honestly, you see Chelsea with Auba, He does not deserve to score and they should lose too.

Give him Adebayor treatment!!!
One thing that has been giving me confidence is our form at the bridge.

Moreso, Chelsea has a lot of players out injured..
Chilwell, James, Zakariyau, Fofana, Kante....

The boys need to be at 200% of their best against Chelsea on Sunday...
Auba bragging should be enough motivation for them....

It is a crime to lose against Chelsea.
