daveP:
Our gk spilled some balls truly. I thought the rain was at play too. She got 5 saves in this game i think.

One happy take away is the vision these girls have. The rain affected their game no doubt.

Nice gesture from the french coach to congratulate our coach for breaking their record. That's a lot.

Yinmu
You sure you followed the conversation.

daveP:
That Abiodun girl too

This win is bigger than we seeing it o. Like these french girls are in psg, Marseille, lyon o.

You don't mean it. Never underrate the power of opportunity and chance. Imagine the Calibre of clubs you mentioned compared to our girls'

daveP:
Those feints and twisting tigers there.

She makes one expect a big chance once the ball is at her foot. Counter attack will totally fit our style.

yea

Danielnino00:
I don't think she stepped on the pitch...She was on the sidelines for the celebration..

she stepped inside.
No issue though. One just have to be cautious with this little mistake

COOL10:
Mehn that pass was sublime. Very 'Iwobi-esque'. I'm just knowing of Sabastine. How good is she? What club did she play for before becoming a free agent?

You mean you have never heard of Sebastine ? She was nominated for CAF young player award.

daveP:
Okay. I saw three of her key passes down the middle plus her connection with our no 8. Gracias.

Idoko. Noted

I particularly enjoy her trickery and leg over ...

Joy Jerry (already substituted) didn't put on her bib and ran into the field to celebrate the goal.
Could have been punished or what do you think?

hatakekakashi:
That keeper though, she's jittery at times, giving Okoye vibes.

Chai
Even in U20 women WC, Okoye still dey chop stray bullet.

hatakekakashi:
The keeper finds it hard to grip the ball well, always spilling it first time before holding.

I don't think so. Maybe she was just being cautious. Attempting to catch a ball first time can go haywire sometimes.

lovewins:
Great game Nigeria

Demehin and Sebastian my best players tonight.

Whoever told these girls to launch long balls initially should be flogged. We played better when we kept the ball on the ground.

Our goalkeeper and Alani biggest liability in my opinion.

They need to practice throw-ins before the next game. Today was just ridiculous.

In all, great game

Congratulations Nigeria

The goalkeeper She didn't put any foot wrong IMO

joelsteron:
I noticed She is both footed

Our Santi Cazorla

Yes! We did it.
At least my effort to stay awake and my data didn't go to waste.
...Sebastien scored the goal but Onyenezide is a baller. Kinda like her close control but her final pass need to be polished.
...Kudos to the goalkeeper. I like her confidence.
...Alani was just there, couldn't attack... couldn't defend. On the other hand, Imran was impressive.
...Tosin Demehin still has a long way to go.

Lest I forget, a big shout-out to the France coach for volunteering to be our ball boy (abi na ball girl)

Game about to start

They should start this match na....
Make Dem use umbrella or whatever

Game never start?
Forcing myself to stay awake.

Well, the 20 minutes show was great. All we need is just a killer pass. I don't think Sebastien has really show her worth yet.
And the Midfield is legit...

daveP:
let's go girls. Sabastine to go the Ordega way of that year. Any link?

Hesgoal bro

Here we go...
Let's do it girls.

do4luv14:
yet some no want am for SE

Don't even start. Na because the guy don tey for that club. Most captainship are awarded due to seniority.

Netherland won the game but Japan won my heart. Beautiful tikitaka football by the Japanese.
It's a shame they lost. Their coach is to blame sha..
Naija up next

Schemerkhiz:
U20WWC

Big blow for Ghana as Evelyn Badu is omitted from the squad with injury, Afia Nyarko is the replacement .

Line ups
Ghana v USA

where can we watch I live sir

Subzero047:
Yes a downgrade to Bernardo Silva

Give Paqueta a season and you will never miss Benardo again. Paqueta is good.

Jodera:
Cedric just collect bullet unnecessarily sha

In Arteta's Everton days, I just loved him as a player. It was when he joined Man city backroom staff as Pep's assistant that I now read why and I found out that he was really good in interpreting tactics and all that. And that even sometimes, him and Wenger will go through so many tactics, formations and sort and I'm like ... Wow!!

erm... it is not flop I want to use exactly. Wenger, Mourinho, Ferguson are some of the best coaches but you hardly notice then during their playing days. They're either bench warmers or backups but they made great coaches. You get now

Jodera:
Elneny which might have his contract not renewed and Partey not partly fit when he grows older is one of the big reason why I asked whether tonali is a DM else it'll be a overstocking an already stocked position

For Xhaka that will be carefully eased away(I believe), we still have Odegaard, Tielemans*, Veira and Sambi. Sambi no fit still dey raw after this season especially playing one of the number 8 role. Then we still have a certain Patino that I'm sure is highly rated by Arsenal and Arteta. If I include ESR for that role that's potentially 6 players jostling for just 2 roles in the future, or 3 top players for one position.

Omooorrr, e no too much!!!!

It is not much o. Infact we need DM asap.

BREAKING NEWS:

CAF announces Morocco as 2024 WAFCON host for the second time in a row

African football governing body CAF has announced Morocco as the host of the 2024 Women African Cup of Nations for the second time in a row.

The North African country hosted the last edition in July, as the Banyana Banyana of South Africa that emerged champions after beating the Atlas Lioness of Morocco 2-1 in the final.

CAF announced Morocco as the host of the biennial tournament on Tuesday afternoon as they continue their readiness for the 44th Congress of the body.

the tourney will be so awful

charlesemeka85:
i thinik pep got it wrong allowing sterling and bernado to leave

sterling's pace is a threat to any team and i will pick him ahead of grealish

Sterling is regressing already. Not as good as before.
As for Benardo, he would be missed but I trust Pep will get a good replacement. Paqueta probably

Eawwal:
And we had good midfielders then, Chamberlain, wilshere, ozil, Carzola, Rosiscky, Xhaka, Elneny, Iwobi.

You're right.

Benison614:
I believe the super eagles are set for what ever challenge, we have a good coach and the players are in top form

Nope....the Ghana match still hurts. They need more time to heal.

charlesemeka85:
yes i know their issues with trophies but with the signing they made and conte anything is possible for them

also i doubt kane will be sold

true but as a rival fan, I don't want them to win it

iamoyindamola:
Adelaide?
Well you might be right but right now he's currently ahead of them

Yea Adelaide.
Bennacer was even the best player at 2018 AFCON. Adelaide is now in Lyon.

iamoyindamola:
That's on wengay
None of the youngsters made it during his time

Iwobi did though. Injury affected Zelalem and Jeff

Eawwal:
How did we treat him?
He was not good enough then, who did he expect to bench.

It's true. The like of Jeff and AMN were ahead of him then.
