I know that feeling....every mom gets them... Honestly think about this...would you rather leave your child alone wit a maid? I think a crèche setting is best for a child who has both working parents... You can visit Bumblebeez Early Care Crèche...see what they have, it is basically a crèche and not a school n your toddler will get the needed attention he needs. Call 09097563596 for more info. I think you will love it... No harm in trying dear.

Family / Re: When Your Nanny/househelp Suddenly Becomes An Ally To The Neighbours! by MotherBee: 12:34pm On Sep 21, 2015
Yes you should be concerned and not worry... I personally will not take that kind of behavior from a nanny I pay...I think you should speak with her about it first then see what happens after...children see everything and learn very fast...are they in school? You can put them in an after school care and pick them up on your way back from work, by then, maid would hVe finished her duties and gone home and you wouldn't be worried about whether your kids were at the neighbors or any where else....my2 cents.

being a mom, one thing I have realized is that every child is different. Yes there is always that tendency to want to compare your child to another or even with siblings but that is really not the way to go about it. Let each child find and discover themselves individually. What they need from us as parents is positive reinforcement, support and encouragement.
That being said, if you are worried that your child has not reached certain milestones for his/her age, you could also check the environment. I have always been a firm believer that kids do better, learn better when they do things together in the appropriate environment. Eg, a one year old toddler is not too young for crèche, there he/she could learn the basics they need for the stage they're in....if you're a stay at home mom, you could also help by teaching your child at home the little things they need to know.
