From the look of things, even if dollar will exchange for 200 naira per a dollar, the prices of commodities would continue soaring higher because the prices of Petrol, diesel, cooking gas, electricity, etc are going up instead of coming down. its not a matter of prepaid meter vs post paid consumers, the hike is exclusive to those BAND A, funnily those on band A are yet to react na most of us wey dey stay Govt rejected area dey Vex and react pass

From what I heard, the increment is only applicable to those on Band A.

Band A customers are those customers who receive power for a minimum of 20hrs per day.

Band A: 20 to 24 Hours supply

Band B: 16 to 20 Hours supply

Band C: 12 to 16 Hours supply

Band D: 8 to 12 Hours supply

Band E: 4 to 8 Hours supply

(not that I'm in support of the increment though, this is just to shed more light on the issue)

I bought drug 8k just last month at a pharmacy & naira has been appreciating since then. Today I went to same pharmacy to see same drug at 12800 naira. Naira is appreciating on paper, but price of goods are increasing in reality. Especially drugs, they are now very expensive

It will not reflect on the price of goods instantly because alot of businesses still have goods that were purchased at the former rate in their warehouse. It will take several months for it to have a positive impact on the prices of good and services. The greed of our business owners will also delay this impact

Its over a month plus the naira has appreciated Now all businesses are claiming they have stocked millions of Goods at the old price.
