I think he deserves it.. He was given every chance and opportunity to defend himself but he failed at that. It also means that all the lock down in the east was a joke. Nigeria won't shut down because a terrorist was given a life sentence. |
It is good that he was used as an example He was found guilty on every count I don't think any sensible san will want to represent him. He is rude, always agitated The only stuff right now is a presidential pardon |
Goodlady:So you think curses work ![]() |
They want to extort the ned guy Soon they will need him to be giving them money anytime they show up. |
seunoyeleyep:Victim of what exactly... Most of you spreading videos that goes viral on sm live in major cities. What do you guys know about insecurities One isolated events just because it goes viral suddenly means Nigeria is unsafe. Do you know how many people that travel everyday If the road are so unsafe, how come transport companies are making record revenues |
You guys will be on social media spreading fear as if people do not travel daily on the road. Kidnapping and bandits on the roads are always isolated events, it is not like they happen every minute but then when these isolated events reach social media, it is taken out of proportion and usually used to fit the narrative that these events happens every minute just because you can easily share, retweet information and go viral |
You all are lying The same boko Haram that was blowing up abuja every other day during his tenure. ![]() |
Japa to the UK didn’t go wrong because of content creators. It went wrong the moment the natives started feeling sidelined, housing scarcity, rising crime rates, and a belief that the government was treating illegal immigrants better than its own citizens. That sentiment created the perfect environment for frustration to grow, and eventually pushed more people toward supporting far-right groups that are strongly anti-immigration. |
this is unfair When northern youth were all over the place in the north holding the russian flag, they were arrested for treason, the whole nigeria were saying calling for the release of those kids this man have freedom of speech, and his right is been taken away from him. |
MEGAWATCH:You are right about one thing I only care about my good and not the good of others Their trouble is not my trouble as long as it does not affect me and my family., i am not jesus christ the saviour. |

MEGAWATCH:Projection...you are the one with an hopeless future. The future is only created by you not by any government. |
Hmmm...in today's world you need debt to build for now but your children will pay in the future |
There is nothing to learn. The only thing here, don't marry unstable people |
the bbc is a fake news media, we know that All media are fake news they are expert in creating narratives and distorting iinformation |
Imagine how many doctored videos that have pulled just to change public opinion. I don't know why people apologize after doing damage to a person reputation as if the apology will automatically just change perception of how people view you. |
the way these people are treating Nnamdi Kanu is pathethic, he comes to court, abuses everyone and goes to his detention a proud man he also can write letters to president trump to come save him after commiting treason this country is a joke. I blame the DSS, you guys keep mentoring terrorists and giving them confidence, instead of using them as examples |
the way these civilians are treating Nnamdi Kanu is pathethic, he comes to court, abuses everyone and goes to his detention a proud man he also can write letters to president trump to come save him after commiting treason this country is a joke. |

Reno may genuinely believe he’s defending Nigeria’s image, but his partnership with Mike Arnold, an American missionary, has done the opposite. He aligned with the wrong person, Arnold has been pushing a controversial narrative of Christian genocide in northern Nigeria, a claim that quickly gained traction in Western media and even reached US politicians like Ted Cruz. By giving Arnold access and credibility, Reno unintentionally amplified a storyline that portrays Nigeria as a failed, religion-divided state. This same narrative later inspired a Nigerian pastor to testify before the US Congress, further worsening Nigeria’s global image. It seems Reno does not understand how Western lobbying networks operate or perhaps he underestimated their influence. The issue isn’t Reno’s patriotism, it’s his lack of caution. His efforts have backfired diplomatically. In an age of weaponized information, aligning with foreign propagandists even with good intentions, can hurt Nigeria more than open critics ever could. Ultimately, Reno’s actions have exposed how weak Nigeria’s information control really is. |
I’m not denying that terrorist attacks and killings still occur in northern Nigeria. However, it’s clear that the Nigerian government has little control over how information is managed or presented to the world. They’ve allowed individuals like Arnold to enter the country and push narratives about “Christian genocide,” which only fuels tension and reinforces misleading claims, such as those made by Ted Cruz who has limited understanding of the situation on the ground. Figures like Reno also share some blame; his one-man media squad often amplifies narratives that harm Nigeria’s image rather than help it. What’s more concerning is how easily foreigners gain access to sensitive areas like IDP camps and conflict zones without proper diplomatic protocol. They arrive, move freely, and create content that shapes international perception often without context or accountability. Nigeria’s biggest weakness here isn’t just the insecurity, it’s the lack of coordinated communication and information diplomacy. When foreigners dominate the story, they define how the world sees the crisis, and that can have long-term political and economic consequences. |
