TravelRe: Travelling To Canada by mowaa: 3:45pm On May 24, 2009
debosky:
You can do so easily. The US (and a few Islands in the Caribbean) is the one place you can travel to and re-enter Canada from without having an entry visa.

Simply apply to the closest US Consulate in Canada for a visitor visa to the US, with proof of your enrollment in University in Canada. You will likely be issued a 2 year multiple entry visa.

If your aim is to leave Canada to go and 'hustle' in the US, don't do it - you will be on the watch list from about 4 months after you enter the country (stamped on your passport when you enter). Don't do that as you will make it difficult for other Nigerian students in Canada to secure visas.
Your message is conflicting, you said "The US (and a few Islands in the Caribbean) is the one place you can travel to and re-enter Canada from without having an entry visa." but now said "Simply apply to the closest US Consulate in Canada for a visitor visa to the US"
If i don't need an entry visa to the US, why should i apply to the closest US Consulate?

i agree entirely with Femi1632
With pictures, you will know whether to proceed or not.
Just imagine you telling your relative to go check a property all the time and because the agents  posted no pics, you always find out it is not what you had in mind; at a time your relative will get tired.
But with pics, the process becomes less cubersome, cos when you see the pics and you like it, all your relative needs to do is to confirm that what you have as pics is what really exits and then you can call the lawyer to do all the legal works, CASE CLOSED

The 2009 SAP SME World Tour will be hosted in the following date:

Thursday, 21 May 2009 at the Protea Hotel Oakwood Park, Lagos, Nigeria

SAP Africa has announced that it is building on the success of last year's
inaugural SAP SME World Tour by hosting this
event in other major centres around South Africa, as well as Nigeria.
SAP brought this event to South Africa for the first time late in 2008 as part of a global
initiative across 50 cities in 10 countries to educate users on SAP solutions for small
businesses and midsize companies.
“This decision was taken as a result of the success and overwhelming response from
customers and partners who attended the SAP SME World Tour that was held in
Johannesburg in November 2008,” says Derek Kudsee, Director SME, SAP Africa.
The roadshow will be visiting Johannesburg again, as well as Durban, Cape Town and
Lagos, Nigeria throughout the month of May. SAP Executive Vice President, SME Sales
and Channels, Eric Duffaut will be attending the Johannesburg event as a special guest
speaker.
“We are extremely excited about being able to reach out to the other centres around the
country. This will bring us closer to our customers and help us get an even better
understanding of their business environment and challenges,” says Kudsee.
The event is designed to be highly interactive and focused on the needs and challenges of
specific industries to ensure that delegates can hone in on the issues that are upper-most
on their minds.
The company's SME president, Hans-Peter Klaey, was the guest speaker last year at the
event that is comparable with SAP's SAPPHIRE® conference, an annual gathering of the
company’s international customers.
“In addition to talking to our customers about our solutions and how we can help them
improve their operations, this is also an opportunity for them to interact with their peers,
industry partners and SAP executives,” explains Kudsee.

BusinessRe: Oceanic Bank Visa Cards by mowaa: 9:35pm On May 07, 2009
What type of Oceanic Visa card do you have? If it is Visa card with the vpay logo on it, then it can only be used in Nigeria alone and can't be used online unless websites where the payment processor is a Nigerian one. Also the only bank in Nigeria that you can use to enroll your visa for the security feature " Verified By Visa" is Skye Bank Visa Int’l Card’ . but you will to call Skye bank to activate your card for this.

Felixv:
@mowaa
i think you should consider the three courses, adm505,adm506 and adm315.For every large SAP installation there is always a Oracle/performance management team. These guys mainly focus on
tuning the SAP SYSTEM.And the relevant skills are Oracle cache analysis,SAP basis memory management, sql tunning, analyzing wait events, etc.
You are almost there,so rather than do a complete migration to SAP basis,i will suggest you leverage your oracle skills and improve on them.Areas you will need to build on will be sql tuning. As you might already know abap is normally embedded with open sql code.this is then converted to oracle native sql by the database libraries installed on the sap instance.
It is these oracle sql statements that we spend time tunning,it is fun, exciting and it pays well.Am not sure there is any certification available for that, but its not realy needed, experience is what counts.

check the sap south africa website for jobs,

thanks
You must have mistaken me for Britz, i never intended to do sap basis only sap srm (supplier relationship management)

She does not have to tell him that, cos she really got married last saturday, I just hope she invited her boss to the wedding

you can fix the amount in a fixed deposit in a bank for 30 days, if it is up to a millon,i can guarantee even 10.5% for my bank finbank. any thing lower then we stay with 8.5%v for 3odays.
You were obviously just newly employed or probably a corper, cos if u well well versed in this, u will know that the 10.5% or 8.6% finbank gives is per annum (yearly) , so for 30 days it will be 10.5 divided by 12 , which will be 0.88% in 30 days
But then again, some banks over 18% per annum, which will be 1.5% un 30 days , so why would one use finbank for 10.5% per annum

if anyone call me for visa,if i can process it or have the link i will tell you i can (provided you have your money because people in there take money),if i dont have the link i will tell you i dont and that is the mistake most agent are making that make people call travel agent all sort of names.if you cant do it dont take people's money.also, if individual feels is easy then dont give any agent money walk into the embassy & apply.

@siena

i dont mean to be rude since you can get everything you need by yourself including visa by walking into the embassy, then i dont thing i have anything to offer you. because all the services i render(FLIGHT BOOKING,TICKETING ,HOTEL RESERVATION,TRAVEL/HEALTH INSURANCE,VISA PROCUREMENT, TOUR PACKAGE ,ETC) is what you always tell people to google so i dont think contacting you is neccessary.let me render service to those that cant walk into the embassy to get visa out and others that cant use google to book for flight ticket & hotel.

with due respect ,my contact detail as below; sfdaram@yahoo.com(personal),heroestravels@yahoo.com(company),234-8028315014 or 234-1-8515371.

taxs.
Solape Wajero i think you should post the list of embassies you have strong links for here on the forum and if any nairalander is interested in any of your listed countries, he will contact you by phone, what ya think?
TravelRe: Paying "Travel / Visa Agents" - Beware! by mowaa: 11:48pm On Feb 28, 2009
sfdaram:
i am proud to be a travel agent as a profession because is wonderful career. what is happening in travel industry in nigeria also happen in other industry. just as a fake travel agent can run away with your money,so also a stockbroker can dupe you on your stocks, even an insurance broker /agent too can do away with your money without putting proper insurance in place for you.

you see a travel agent can work from home without an office, yes is as easy as that but in situation where one deals with an agent without house or office address what do you expect.

Travel agent are suppose to be proffessional in the field of travel recognise by embassies, airlines, hoteliers & public .

i once told someone on this forum before types of travel Agent we have in naija.1.accredited agent 2.register agent 3. frelance agent .it depends the one you are dealing with.the number 3 are the most problematic among them because no house or office address to trace them,so when you patronise no.3 , you do at your risk.

you see using travel agent for visa is acceptable by embassy but people always think agent will perform miracle to get them visa.i tell you ,most agent get visa out of embassy depends on how strong their contact /link is with the embassy.

lastly, people should know office of their travel agent & ensure that they truely work in the agency and not arrangee.
Solape Wajero, so which embassy do you have strong contact link and what do u mean by strong.?, u personally know the consul-general?

i have started MM now Procurement, i have finished Procurement 1 (50%), now starting Procurement 2 and i will be through with MM and would now be a MM consultant. I am self studying here in Nigeria using the SAP GUI and subscribing to a service http://www.idesaccess.com monthly for live SAP access.
I would have done other modules but for my background and the demand here in Nigeria is mostly high on SAP MM, i know SAP HR demand in Nigeria is very low.
