Yyeske: What's this argument all about sef, of these 3 stations AIT, Channels and TVC, Channels is the most balanced in reporting news, AIT is pro PDP and TVC is pro APC but you never would see or hear inciting comments on the other two except for AIT and that is against the code of broadcasting in Nigeria. AIT has been warned several times but it still goes on with it. Many people would've noticed on some other local stations that the presenter usually stop a guest whenever they want to veer off a topic or start some unnecessary name calling but AIT never cautions its guests and I believe the station deserves what it got finally. What inciting sentiments were made on AIT please speak to specifics |

9jaRealist: With all due respect, your post shows little or no knowledge of what actually transpired in the Jim Acosta episode and case...
First, the Acosta case involves a totally different subject matter than that being discussed here. It is a case of revoking one journalist’s press pass (on the shaky grounds that no guest has an automatic right of access to the White House), not trying to revoke the license of a network. Furthermore, in the US, broadcast license are granted merely for the purpose of regulating broadcast spectrum (so that they do not interfere with each other), and not to regulate content.
For the avoidance of any doubt, the US’s Federal Communications Commission (the US equivalent of our NBC) does NOT regulate the content of things broadcast over the airwaves. In fact, the US Communications Act specifically provides (in Section 326) that “Nothing in this Act should be understood or construed to give the Commission the power of censorship...and no regulation or condition shall be fixed which shall interfere with the right of free speech... > you could have let him embarrass himself more sha |

Maybe their laws give them the freedom to do whatever they want to do. But this Nigeria, we have our own rules. So as long as you are in Nigeria we must abide by the rules, if you feel they don't favour you, there are other countries to migrate to. What rule speak to specifics |

wirinet: Yes, for a radio and TV station operating very under a government license. They are only using social media as an excuse for propagating their political views. Why air those views? Whatever view you want to hold you will find it on social media. If you want views on paedophiles, murderers, rapists, etc, you will find it on social media. That does not give you the rights to propagate them. You are speaking in ambiguity. one guy point out some statements like Nigeria is cursed, we declare the republic of Niger delta And Nigeria irritates me Those are Hate speeches?? Let's all speak objectively here The social media program covers a wide range of issues not just the political. if those statements above are what you classify as hate speech Then I disagree with you |

wirinet: Disagreeing with a trade ( or even a real) war is not the same thing as inciting citizens against the country. Even claiming the USA and Israel are terrorists killing Palestinians is also not incitement, it's a personal view. Even trump during his presidency had liken US gulf wars to terrorist action.
Compare this statement to the examples you are quoting; Statements made on CNN A California Congress man, said they don't accept the election result and that California should break away from the US CNN job has been to incite the people against the govt. That's just the fact Van Jones on CNN, this election result is a manifestation of deep rooted racist behavior of White Americans. it's was a whitelash. Latino, black, gay etc should be afraid Bros you just have to watch a Don Lemon segment on CNN to see pure undiluted hate speech |

What is the law? The law that changes with who is in power let the NBC categorically state where they rules abi hate speech was made it's important to note guest opinions are theirs alone Unless the journalist themselves make sweeping remark, I don't see the problem And kakaki social, pls if you post that I'll just laugh |

Reno Omokri, Fani Kayode and IPOB insults Buhari (apart from other favourite targets of Tinubu, Amaechi and Oshiomole), it is when they start inciting the citizens against the country that they have gone too far. Khakaki social basically lift off hate speech and inciteful comments on twitter and instablog9j.a
Imediately after the election, AIT aired an edition of moneyline with Nancy, and she went on and on trolling Northerners, saying the Nigerian Poverty wears the northern cap, openly saying northerners deserved "worst for voting PMB. That day i saw the painfull look on my aboki friend, the nonsense totaly ruined his mood for the day, that i had to leave his office.
This is a federal staff that is in an agency that can ruin nancy for life, without the directives of the president
. Although AIt is greatly partisan. But in an era where most of the media outlets are controlled or influenced by the state, it is a necessary evil Now citing the kakaki social program. These are comments lifted from the social media, not the comments of the journalists Social media has become one of the best ways to shine a light on social ills and get unfiltered reaction The hate speech as you term it, are generally frustrations against the actions and inaction of govt. Rather than try to gag them and live in an echo chamber, why not work on them to improve them? The people commenting are they not Nigerians? if they are not problems would they be any need for the back lash let's stop the hypocritical stuff abeg. |

Meanwhile, I watched same video earlier today and only downloaded it for the purpose of analyzing it.
And after playing it severally, I could truly see that Naira Marley didn't even have an idea of the colossal damage he was doing to the future of an average Nigerian Youth. To him, he was just catching his fun with his goons.
Well, I pray his bail condition gets successful on May 30 because 7 years imprisonment will totally bury his battered career. Much more, I pray he comes out singing better songs that will help the future of the youths. I have listened to the song several times. I can't still point out where he promoted yahoo . the song sounds like a freestyle in my opinion |
