Good laptop for you may be bad laptop for me. You have already pointed out what you want to use the laptop for, state things like

1. Preferred video card
2. Preffered Processor type (intel or AMD)
3. Screen size (that is the only info you gave 14inch)
4. HDD size (ssD + HDD) or SSD alone or HDD
5. Windows or Mac
6. Dont be stuck on a brand I personally am yet to see a dell with good battery life.

FACT: You learn shopping by yourself half the time, no one wants to share he's tips. A good way to start is know what you want.

Hi good day, Some people don't care about details they just let prize of the unit do the choosing for them, while others look at the whole picture. That said, I would do a comparison for you on the Butterfly JH8190, Heavy duty Singer 4423 machine and Brother XM2701 (all three are in same category but offer different features) then you can make your choice on what you want. Prizes:
The total prize money for both categories is $75,000 USD. In addition to the cash prizes, all award winners will receive a trophy and a certificate.The best entries will also be presented in the BraunPrize exhibition and made public in the international press and online.

2x $15,000 USD – Gold Award Student and Young Talent
2x $10,000 USD – Silver Award Student and Young Talent
2x $5,000 USD – Bronze Award Student and Young Talent
