What is a sovereign nation without security of lives and property? Tinubu took an oath to protect lives of Nigerians yet he is nonchalant about the innocent souls being killed by these terrorists.

T9ksy:
The curse laid by the so-called man of God is null and void. There is no religious genocide in nigeria rather it's ethnic genocide.

The death toll in my region (at least) comprises of both muslim, xtians and traditionalists in equal measures. They were slaughtered by fulani herdsmen not because they were xtians or non-muslims but principally because, they were yorubas.

I believe it"s quite mischevious and disingenious of those propagating this actrocious of religious genocide in the country.

Las las, everyone wiill reap whatever they sow.
Because the situation in your region is different should in anyway negate or contradict the experience of the Christians in Plateau, Southern Kaduna, Benue and Taraba. This habit that certain people in Nigeria have has to stop. The country doesn't revolve around you or your people and I think it is disrespectful to disregard the experience of those in the middle belt in the manner which you have just done. This has to stop.

This is nothing new, in 2019 Trump helped Buhari government reduce Boko Haram territory by 90%

Mrchippychappy:
Why Nigeria Must Accept Trump’s Offer. It Worked in 2019

In 2019, under Trump’s direct support, Nigeria crushed Boko Haram, the terror group lost over 90% of its territory in just 18 months.
Here’s what happened:

U.S. delivered twelve A-29 Super Tucano jets (approved 2017, arrived 2019–2020)

U.S. provided real-time intelligence, drone surveillance, and elite training
Nigerian military recaptured Sambisa Forest, Boko Haram’s last major stronghold

Proof from trusted sources:

BBC (Feb 2019): Large territories have been recaptured with international support… Boko Haram is now confined to remote areas.
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-47047399

BBC (2018–2019 update):

“Boko Haram has lost most of the territory it once controlled… leadership split under pressure.”
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-36973354

Vanguard (2023 GTI Report):

“Nigeria’s improvement in global terrorism rankings tied to 2019 U.S.-backed military gains.”
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/03/nigeria-improves-by-two-spots-on-global-terrorism-index/

Then Biden paused the partnership.

Leahy Law restrictions cut lethal aid.
Result? Boko Haram/ISWAP regrouped. Attacks surged 30% by 2022.

Biden Removes Nigeria from CPC List (2021)

Premium Times: U.S. removes Nigeria from list of religious freedom violators – Biden ignores USCIRF recommendation, removes Nigeria.
https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/496285-u-s-removes-nigeria-from-list-of-religious-freedom-violators.html

Vanguard: US lawmakers ask Biden to re-designate Nigeria – Notes 2021 delisting despite ongoing issues.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/02/us-lawmakers-ask-biden-to-re-designate-nigeria-as-religious-freedom-violator/

Trump’s 2019 model was monumentally successful.
His 2025 offer is to restart that success. Intervention NOT invasion

Well meaning Nigerians MUST accept this. Protect the lives Christians, secure the Middle Belt. End the genocide.

helinues:
The question you are not asking is, how did Trump and his government reach the conclusion that christians are being persecuted in Nigeria?

What's the interest of Trump with whichever faith killings in Nigeria? Has he solved the gun violence in USA which over 200k people have been killed since 2003 or so.

500k people are reported missing every year in USA, what's Trump doing about that? Was he elected as president of Nigeria or USA?

You do not have to add your aggressive nature to this , that will surely give you out as the mischievous person here
You are too busy to post credible sources on the Muslims being killed as you claim (by other muslims and northerners might I add), but not too busy to look up the number of people that go missing in America.

Who is deceiving who oga? Stop the lies and deception
Politics › Re: Nigerian Christians Are Too Emotional by Mrchippychappy(m): 8:57am On Nov 05, 2025
Disciplinarian:
Ever since Donald Trump made an announcement on social media that there'll be US military intervention against Islamic terrorists in Nigeria, the Nigerian elites have been speaking against it on a daily basis, a wide majority of Muslims are also against it, what does that tell you as a Christian? Terrorism has a huge number of sympathetic supporters in Nigeria.
My issue with Christians is that instead of seeing these people for exactly who they really are, you're busy trying to debate, convince, understand and even go to the extent of showing them videos of burnt down Christian communities in different parts of Nigeria.
Are you trying to tell me that these radicals are not aware that Islamic terrorism started in 2009, that is 16 years, and has been flourishing ever since!
Islamic terrorism has grown from Boko Haram to:
Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP)
Ansaru (The Vanguards for the Protection of Muslims in Black Africa)
Lakurawa
Mahmuda
Fulani herdsmen/militias (Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association)
Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN)
Bandits
I can assure you that more Islamic radical groups will be created to accelerate the genocide of Christians in Nigeria.
I like the fact that Donald Trump isn't the type of president that is interested in having long discussions and conversations with individuals who are completely devoid of any iota of human empathy or sympathy to the deaths of innocent souls who have never done anything wrong to either them or their loved ones, yet, are always being slaughtered like rams.
To my fellow Christians, I was born into an Islamic family, but I left due to simple logical and basic common sensical reasons. I was too inquisitive as a child and the moment you start asking hard questions, you'll be beaten into submission.
It is absolutely unrealistic to engage in genuine discussions and debates with someone who is determined on slaughtering both you and your entire family for the sake of a religion where their prophet instructed them that it's physically and spiritually fulfilling to kill innocent people who aren't interested in joining their barbaric cult.
MURIC, Afenifere and the northern leaders claim that Trump “suddenly” targeted Nigeria is false. Trump actively partnered with Buhari from 2017–2020 to fight Boko Haram until Biden’s Democrats stopped it.

Trump's intervention: A brief timeline

Feb 2017: Trump’s first call to Buhari, he pledged full U.S. support vs. Boko Haram.

2017: Trump approved sale of 12 A-29 Super Tucano jets (blocked by Obama), delivered by 2020.

Apr 2018: Buhari’s White House visit. Trump praised Nigeria’s anti-ISIS role, backed deradicalization, and condemned Christian killings.
2019: Boko Haram lost 90% of territory thanks to U.S. intel, training, and strikes.

Dec 2020: Trump designated Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) for religious freedom violations.

Biden Reversed Everything

2021: Biden removed Nigeria from CPC list despite worsening attacks.
2022: Democrats used Leahy Law & Child Soldiers Act to restrict arms and training.
Result: U.S. support dropped to non-lethal aid only. Boko Haram/ISWAP surged, attacks up 30% by 2022.

Trump isn’t “suddenly” interested, he’s restarting what Biden killed.

His 2025 threats (intervention, aid cuts, CPC reinstatement) are resuming the 2017 to 2020 plan, its an intervention not an invasion.

Afenifere should demand justice for victims, not deflect with lies.

Lives matter more than excuses.

Lives matter more than resources
