Travel / Re: 161 Nigerian Students Fail UK Border Checks, Denied Entrance by Mrchippychappy(m): 4:11pm On Aug 31
Lol if u meet those Indians for border check better be brave. INDIANS in the UK are desperate to be seen as whites so dem go use immigration enter UK wan come burn that same bridge wey dem use enter.

One idiot wey no fit even speak proper English wan open eye for me, As an Igbo boy de wey I calmly impose myself on am, na me come dey ask am questions instead, she say she no see something for my file, na im I ask am, "can you look at that again and tell me what you see there?" nobody tell am when she stamp my passport. I swear to God true story, na she apologize sef. Only problem was that I missed my flight connecting flight from Heathrow to my final destination, so had to wait almost 2 hrs for the next one, I don dey fear sey I go need buy another ticket but dey reassured me, maybe na the indian olosho call to clarify the reason I miss flight but either way I sha used the next one.

When u make these trip as long as you are well educated and can properly express yourself then you have nothing to fear. Carry that same Nigerian energy cross border, have all your documents and be confident. Don't stutter ONE BIT.

Politics / Re: Future Of Nigerians Mortgaged By Tinubu, Family – Atiku by Mrchippychappy(m): 11:51am On Aug 22
Dem don sell Nigerians give China. Once the dust settles and Nigerians truly understand the implications, by then it would be too late. Daddy G.O and his goons go relocate completely, turn "church in exile". Na from there dem go dey bill Nigerians. These loans come with a price, I'm surprised how the government keep grabbing loans after loans.

This is not the paris club and Okonjo is no longer here to broker deals. Those loans would not be written off, they would be paid off by the government or the people. For over 10 years we have seen this government appoint charlatans and block heads as CBN and finance ministers - from Kemi Adeshina to Emefiele all the way to what we have now, to fix this problem would take decades. I feel sorry for Nigerians.

That's the problem with Nigeria. Why save a criminal? Let justice take its course but instead most politicians "save" their corrupt colleagues with the hope that their colleagues would return the favour. If you keep your hands clean, you wouldn't need any favours from a corrupt politician and your rulings wouldn't be impaired by bias decisions.

Politics / How To Win War Against Corruption - Wole Soyinka by Mrchippychappy(m): 8:14am On Aug 03
https://thesun.ng/how-to-win-war-against-corruption-soyinka/

The Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, on Friday listed effective ways to win the war against corruption, which he described as a deadly cankerworm that lays great nations in ruins and puts the people at great disadvantage.

He disclosed this at the 26th annual Wole Soyinka Lectures, organised by the National Association of Seadogs, otherwise known as Pyrates Confraternity, to commemorate the 90th birthday of Soyinka, who alongside six other undergraduates of University of Ibadan founded the group in 1952.

The lecture was held at June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, with the theme: ‘The Baby or the Bathwater: Navigating the Dark Tunnels of Systemic Corruption to Nationhood’.

Soyinka stated that without attitudinal change and readiness of everyone to begin to do the right thing, winning the war against the mounting corruption challenge in the country would remain an impossible task.

The Nobel Laureate, while commenting on the lecture delivered by a former governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, noted: “The particular aspect of this lecture that struck me is corruption. Corruption is not just when you steal public money. It is a cankerworm that eats deep into the fabric of the society from the top to the bottom and corrupts our very nature, our very existence…

“But, ultimately, the solution, short term, immediate and long term, must begin from the inside and this is one of the motives for establishing Pyrates Confraternity 62 years ago.”

Soyinka also disabused the minds of the people on misconceptions about Pyrates Confraternity. He said the registered association is not a bloodthirsty secret cult, but an association founded to push for justice and advance the betterment of the country.

Soyinka alongside the former Secretary-General of Commonwealth of Nations, Chief Emeka Anyawu, later unveiled a book ‘Ship Ahoy’ written to document 60 years history of the confraternity.

In the lecture, Fashola, a former Minister of Works, described Soyinka as a gift to the country, the continent, and the entire civilisation. He stated that corruption, in terms of pecuniary gains, is no doubt stands condemned. He added that the worse form of corruption is that which has displaced highly cherished moral values and has therefore corrupted the people’s ways of life.

I mentioned in a previous post that the way that CJN abruptly retired was because he knew what was coming with these protests and didn't want to be a part of the officials held accountable for the pending human rights allegations that would follow, certain posters here tried to downplay the CJN's decision, Now see how the events are unfolding.

Politics / Re: Vandalized Residence In Edo Owned By Christian Feeding Programme - CAN by Mrchippychappy(m): 6:03am On Aug 02
If the resources were truly donated for the people, then CAN should instruct the church and management of these charity organizations to actually donate these things. I am sick and tired of the church holding on to donations while claiming more should be brought into the "store house".
Go out there and do like Christ did. Give these things to your fellow believers who are in need.

This brand of "man know man" Christianity that became popularized by RCCG in the 90s needs to end. RCCG basically turned Christianity into a business center in Nigeria. They received tithes, offerings, food donations and basically just locked it up and share it to already wealthy pastors, deacons and elders, That's not what the Bible tells us to do!. This form of Christianity has done more harm than good to the body of Christ in Nigeria.
