well i dont know how u guys make research about states and all that..but one thing is anyone interested in coming here should be prepared regardless of the states u go live in there is always expensive places and cheap places so u just have to find out. i stay in Illinois and i pay $300 for rent and $20 for internet and 30 at most for electricity for a one bedroom apartment so u just gotta find out. try to make friends with not just indians alone there are cool black and white americans, and also check organizations around you like church, african student association, ahplha phi, sororities meet people thats the best way to get so many information u need dey will let u kno mehn.....as funding like imperioux always emphasize on mehn thats a great deal. like almost all my firends in grad school are going to school free of charge dey only pay like $800 a semester for student fees tuition is fully funded by the school plus they get stipend monthly like $900 for up keep. so life is what u make it. if u feel u are not enjoying here is becos u have not found a way out. so try and mingle mehn....AMERICA IS FUN FOR THOSE WHO KNO THEIR WAY...NOT ILLEGAL OOO OR SCAM.
Good Info. |
Its good when people are advised on the dangers of travelling to any country but like Cyprus, there are people who have survived & are living fine now. I watched a documentary whereby a Nigerian legally living in US was molested & abused by the US Security agents for a reason that he had no job. Many Americans do not have jobs themselves but many Nigerians still rush to US Embassies... Realistically, is there any country that is problem-free? I have many Nigerian friends hustling in Cyprus because they came via North Cyprus in the name of studying in cheaper institutions only to abscond from studies & smuggle themselves via the border to South Cyprus only to become Assylum Seekers where they earn as much as 300 euros monthly. Whereas, i have other Nigerian friends who came directly to Cyprus via a legal way & are working & living fine. Why will anyone think of travelling Abroad because he or she wants to survive "illegally"? Please, its right we tell people the truth. |
If you think you can study & work in Europe precisely in Cyprus as a student to pay your tuition, you must be joking. You can use your income to buy foodstuffs, pay your rent, electricity & water bills. Although, there are colleges that are cheaper in Cyprus. |
You are welcome, Students are allowed to work. You can earn about 4-5 euros per hour. Yes! It is expensive & its the most expensive university in Cyprus, i thank GOD I was able to study there. I lived in the hostel with 1 other student in a 2 bedroom. Its reasonably cheaper staying in the hostel where the students share the rent of about 250 euros - 500 euros. I left last month. |
Hi, i got my bachelor degree in Business Administration with concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Nicosia formerly called Intercollege in Nicosia (Capital of Cyprus) where i worked on campus on part-time basis. Its a beautiful country, the people popularly known as cypriots are very friendly. Although 95% of them can speak English very well, but Greek is commonly spoken. |
Hello Everyone, am a graduate from one of the higher institutions in South Cyprus & its my pleasure to assist prospective students interested in studying in Europe precisely Cyprus popularly known as South Cyprus regarding information about studying & living in Cyprus. |
