As usual, i got to the Lagos embassy (the same embassy i did my 1st interview) @ about 5:30am but i met people fewer than 50 & eventually not as many as my previous interview. Was interviewed by a young dude. Lets begin! Me-Good morning sir Vo-Good morning & how are you doing Me-Fine Vo-Please, pass your documents Me-(I did just that) Vo-Which School are you going to? Me-XYZ UNIVERSITY Vo-What course? Me-MBA Vo-What is your highest degree? Me-Bachelor of Science In Business Administration and minor concentration in MIS Vo-Which other schools did you apply to? Me- 4 in US, 1 in UK, 1 in Nigeria (i named them) Vo-Why did you choose this school? Me- (1) Its Wealth of Experience of over 100years of Standard University Education which makes the school among the best schools in the Southern region of America rated by usnews.com & world report. (2) Its conducive classroom that has a Student-Faculty ratio of 14:1 which gives me an opportunity to interact well with my colleagues & lecturers on academic issues. (3) All my lecturers in the School of Business Administration & Management are Professors which makes them experts in their respective areas of teaching. Infact, i communicated with the dean of the School of Business Administration & Management, Prof. Hector Quintanilla who advised me via the phone as well as e-mails on the importance of studying my MBA @ the School & what i stand to gain when i graduate from the School. (@ this point, the guy called the next Vo who happened to be the guy who gave me that pathetic white paper on my 1st interview, "den dey gist about my matter oh" for a few seconds, i guessed!) Vo-Did you write any exam? Me-Yes, GRE. Vo-Can i have it? Me-Yes (i passed it & he checked it) Vo-Where did you do your exam? Me-Lagos Vo-What do you understand by Geometry & Algebra? Me-Geometry is a form of mathematics that has to do with description of shapes, sizes & eventual interpretation in mathematical terms through solving problems while Algebra is a form of mathematics that involves the use of equations & formulars to solve problems, for example 80 + x = 120, what will be the value of x? Vo-Who will Sponsor you? Me- My Dad Vo-What does he do? Me-He supplies Building materials to Companies & Individuals within the country, infact, he owns a Building material company, presently has two firms, 1 in Lagos state which is the head office & the annex in Ogun state that both supplies Building materials within Nigeria. He is the General Manager of XYZ BUILDING MATERIAL COMPANY. Vo-Do you have any statement? Me-Yes (i passed it & he glanced through & returned it) Although @ this time i had accepted fate that its nt my day again after i noticed his hands directed towards the same spot the earlier Vo took dat pathetic white paper & also handled my passport along with my I-20 the same way the earlier Vo handled it & thought i heard him say something like re-applying again or their usual rehearsed pathetic statement. But i was shocked when the Vo gave me only this supposedly "white paper again" but refused giving me my passport & I-20. "Na so dis white dude no gree oh". (later i discovered the white paper he gave me contains encouraging statement regarding collection of visa). It was then it clicked that the devil has finally been disgraced, disappointed & defeated!!! GLORY BE TO GOD ALMIGHTY!! Hey my peeps! Its been 29 days i disappeared ironically from Nairaland precisely this wonderful & loving thread. Just 4days after my Interview! Guess, it was completely uneasy for me to take! Anyway, as a ceremonial rule on this thread; my interview details goes as follows: It took place on the 15th of November @ the Lagos Embassy. My appointment was scheduled for 8.30am but i got there around 5.30am. Did i hear you say haaa! Interestingly, i met a crowd of @ least 80. "Fast forward"-White Guy with glasses interviewed me, (he was very fast with almost everyone except with elderly ones) he was approving visas on a ratio of 10:100 while White (Big) lady was very slow & also was approving applicants visa on a ratio of 80:100, she nice oh! Other Vo were Guys & seriously they are mean, although, may slightly differ. Back to Business: Vo-What is the name of the school you are going to? Me-XYZ UNIVERSITY Vo- How old are you? Me- XX Vo-What do you want to study Me-MBA Vo-What is your highest degree-Me-Bachelors in Business Administration with concentration in Management Information Systems Vo- Do you have Gmat/Gre (As my business school requires either of the 2 although waived it as a result of my "very good grades" wink

Me-I was exempted from the exam because of my very good grades i achieved in my Degree (Although, i did Gre but it was not yet available online-i could have told him i did it but he could see me as being unserious, not really my fault, there was no available date other than that date as @ that time & i had no choice but to book it) Vo-Who is sponsoring you Me-My Dad Vo-What does he do? Me-He is a Businessman precisely a Building Contractor. Then the usual pathetic statement a Vo can tell you, your guess is as good as mine! It wasn't funny @ all!!! However, i give GOD the glory.

Hi Teetee, please, take it easy dear! (1) You can pay through someone in US (2) You can also pay via Ecobank using Western Union in Benin Republic (SEME BORDER). Make a decision quick! I pray u & every spring applicant shall be successful in their visa interviews (IJN) AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

Although, Arsene wenger was very mature about his comments saying Mikel should have handled the matter with the referee internally which ideally is the best. I read someone's comments on fergie's (long term grugde) bitterness with mikel over the transfer saga that saw mikel controversially signed for chelsea following conflicting reports that he had earlier agreed & signed a contract with man utd only for him to let "fergie" down. Although, am not sure if its related with that but won't be surprised if it is. Sincerely this isn't good for football as Racism has become a major issue in football globally. And to think after Rio ferdinand refused wearing the "kick it out jersey", he was warned by "fergie" but "fergie" immediatelly told the press they were now cool with each other. But some hours later Rio Ferdinand was promised another offer of a year contract with a cut down on his present salary (why not terminate his contract?). Its unbelieveable that a loyal & great player like Rio Ferdinard could be treated like this by those he diligently works for. Funny though, they couldn't let time pass before expressing themselves over his personal decision which should be respected by the club. Its obviously clear why he refused wearing the "kick it out jersey" as he believes Racism is everywhere including among fellow Players, Coaches, FA Officials, Referees, Fans & so on. But Its a shame to see people being biased with their comments. Racism Is Real!!!

mr swagger: @imperiouxx I appreciate your comment. I understand wht u said, but wht I'm asking is that do schools request for this Bank statement before you apply for admission or AFTER you have been ADMITTED and ready to get the I-20....

In most cases if not all, you are sure of admission without bank statement but it is required by all schools before your 1-20 can be issued.

Please, don't be confused! It means both months are fully booked! Are all the required documents available for your interview? Are you mentally prepared? If Yes to both questions! Go ahead & by GOD's Grace, you would return with Good news. (If No to either or both questions, prepare very well while you check for available dates as you could get lucky cos some people would likely cancel their appointment as a result of reason(s) best known to them).
