If u pay 6k,u wud watch all 30channels,if u pay 3.5k,u wud watch 27channels(no football),u can only c all of dis if u upgrade,hitv might use d mytv patch 2 do d upgrade which may nt allow u 2 use ur dstv card on it again(nt so sure)but mine didnt work,i use a strong 4652. Mayb u shld buy anoda decoder!

How do you guys think we can help naija channels?What advice can we roll out?It's so disheartening that we nigerians don't even watch our channels cos the standard of programs is too low.In Lagos, All the channels run the same program, none is distinct, from music to sports to drama, they all run the same show. Outside Lagos is worse. Now a lot of us are going for Paytv and those companies keep exploiting us including the so- called Proudly nigerian. Only recently, an NBC official was complaining about the amount that was used to purchase the English Premiership rights by cable companies (40M dollars). What do we do, how can we get the best from our channels, how can we make our channels be our own Pay tv? Pls air ur views,

I think this thread is fast becoming a free to air thread,can any1 pls list out d channels on daarsat,i'm sure a lot of pple r now brooding ova hitv's incompetence.Unfortunately,we wud start payin 6k 4 incompetence,(30 borin channels,no la-liga,no wc qualifiers,no confed cup,no worldcup,no euro international championships,no grade A serie A matches,no movie channels,i can go on listing, daarsat at least was able 2 lift up 2 expectatn in some of dis aspect,God save us from proudly SA & Proudly ebutemetta's exploitatns.

Please guys, i know dis mite not be fta related, i removed a dstv smartcard from a strong decoder and insert it into anoda strong decoder(newly upgraded) and it didn't work, i cal an installer based in abuja and he said dat d decoder has got to go 2ru some re-programming and coding,i knw jst undastand d guy, i stay in lagos.Pls can any1 help 2 solve dis mystery,tnx!

nope, u were not cheated by ur installer, if ur strong decoder has a usb port, all u need is a flash drive 2 do d upgrade but if it's d 4652, u need a rs232 cable 2 do d upgrade. If u are in lagos, u can go to hitv's "market" @ ebute-metta cos it's always crowded.

they've lost it 4 real,wen they were suppose 2 renew d rights,subair was busy holding meetings wit d rest of africa on aw 2 break dstv's monopoly because he thot he had won naija 4 good.u fit check dr website 4 more details.

imagine 6k to watch an irregular competitn, the UCL,starts by august, wit matchdays 1ce or 2ce in a MONTH,go on a break 4 anoda 2 months by december.resumes last week of february wit scanty matchdays til may.
the epl,afta ur clubs and rivals had played,wat oda club interests u,
the carling cup, nt even as excitin as d fa cup wit very very scanty matchdays,ends feb/march,
