Botragelad: For those who don’t understand Hamas’s game, here’s their plan. They’re desperate. Now they’re clinging to hopes of a ceasefire, banking on Trump’s Middle East visit and dreaming he’ll recognise a "Palestine state." This hostage release? A cheap trick to look reasonable.
Handing back a victim doesn’t make a kidnapper a hero. It doesn’t erase the crime. There is no "Palestine state," and Israel will not allow one, not in a way that favor Hamas, especially not for terrorists. If anyone tries to force it, Israel will act. With or without the US. And you know exactly what that means. I really wonder how hamas has been able to hide those hostages from isreal despite the idf surrounding the whole gaza. |

IGBOPROMISE1: The CROSS OF HOPE will become an iconic landmark immediately identifiable and linked to Enugu state, similar to Christ The Redeemer statue standing atop a hill in Rio, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Angel Of The North in the UK, and the Statue Of Liberty in New York that for over a century has welcomed travellers to the city!
They should find a good spot for it….ideally on top of a hill and out in the countryside close to Enugu city! Air travellers should be able to see it lit up as they arrive the Enugu airport! If they locate it in the outskirt of enugu town then it will require a security post against vandals. |

State police will be another intimidation and harassment agency which will lead to crisis. That will definitely escalate the insecurity in ur area later we saw this happen in the south east when youths that were not properly profiled were given weapons to fight herdsmen better to allow state govt to do recruitment and scrutiny before arming anyone. |

Quelme: A capital NO to state police...
Recruitment and posting should be strictly by merit. Police should only be posted to their state of origin.
We all know what the governors are capable of doing if you place the police department directly under them. The positives definitely outweighs the negatives imagine a situation where a state governor is under seige by invaders but don't have the political power to order his commissioner of police to clamp down on the invaders he has to wait for abuja to give the order and if the ethnic group of the invaders is the same with the president u can guess that the order will definitely never come we have seen this play out in enugu, benue and other states where fulaniherdsmen are terrorising innocent nigerians which made governors to start creating regional and state security outfits that wasn't even authorised to carry military sophisticated weapons. |

He is ready to pull Nigeria out of poverty with sound economic plans devoid of the usual corruption that have totally wrecked the country. If you look around you at the people criticizing him you will find out it is still the same failures we all know and their supporters which shows he is doing the right thing and posses the transformational leadership qualities to change Nigeria The nigerian society is just too extremely corrupt to be redeemed P.O is just fighting a lost battle I really do pity him sometimes if I were him I will just retire from active politics and go enjoy my retirement with my children and grandchildren like the way Pat Utomi just did. ElevationD: No.
Ibusa is the same as Igbuzor. Ibusa corrupted form by the British from its original name Igbuzor.
Igbuzor has prominent sons namely: ex Senator, Barr. Peter FNwaoboshi the indefatigable Prof Patrick Utomi, founder of the Lagos business school, Professor Fidelis Oditah and Mr Peter Okocha a shipping magnate popularly known by his business name Crismatel, Obi (Prof) Chike Onwuachi, etc.
Igbuzor is an enjoyment town with great musicians like Ogbogu Okonji, Agility Okonji, Nwanze Nwabuwa (AKA Nwanze Nwagbodi) and Uche Nwalama. You go dance tire. Ogbogu Okonji by far remains the most prominent of them all, as one his songs has been played all over the nation for many years in clubs, restaurants, hotels, homes, etc.
What about football? They had Kingsley Obiekwe, a 1996 Atlanta Olympic Gold medalist in football; the late Peter Anieke of the Green Eagles; Emmanuel Olisadebe who naturalized and featured for Poland in 2002 and 2006 editions of the FIFA World Cup tournaments.
Igbuzor is a place for enjoyment every weekend. No end to enjoyment since I knew the town. Now they have grown covering both sides of the highway leading to Ogwashi uku. Land no cheap there o. Admiralty university by the Navy is situated in Igbuzor. There’s peace, safety and security in Igbuzor.

Only desperate women from disadvantaged backgrounds fall for this trick, only to realise later on that money alone isn't everything in a marriage, that's when they'll start having an affair with that family gardener you've put on your monthly payroll... Not only will you be paying him for doing the landscaping around your house and mowing the lawn, but you'll also be paying him for servicing your wife. This can only happen when u marry a wayward woman who doesn't have any self discipline or fear God. |

Politics › Re: Soludo, Obi Clashed Amid Tinubu’s Anambra Visit by Mrexcell(m): 7:22pm On May 10, 2025 |
jmoore: Soludo has made it his mission to constantly attack and discredit his predecessor, Mr. Peter Obi, at every opportunity. His relentless vendetta against Obi has gone beyond healthy political disagreement and has descended into outright lies and deliberate misinformation.
Soludo’s False Poverty Claims Against Peter Obi
One of Soludo’s most blatant lies was his claim that poverty in Anambra State doubled under Peter Obi’s administration. This assertion is not only false but also easily disproven by data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), during Obi’s tenure. Lagos under Tinubu had 69.4% poverty rate while Anambra had 53.7% under Peter Obi. But Soludo thinks 69.4% poverty rate is better than 53.7%, hence he keeps praising Tinubu who has even made Nigerians poorer since he was sworn in 2023 as Nigerian president. Soludo, as an economist and professor, knows better than to peddle such falsehoods, but his desperation to tarnish Obi’s reputation has pushed him to abandon facts for propaganda.
Soludo’s Hypocrisy on Investments: The Beer Shares Controversy
Recently, Soludo again tried to ridicule Peter Obi’s investment strategy by mocking Anambra State’s shares in a beer company. He claimed that the beer industry has no potential, a shocking statement from someone who calls himself a professor.
One wonders: How did Soludo earn his professorship if he lacks basic knowledge of global investment trends? The beer industry is a multi-billion-dollar sector worldwide, employing millions and generating massive tax revenues. Even Bill Gates, one of the world’s smartest investors, holds shares in Heineken. If the investment was truly worthless, why hasn’t Soludo sold the state’s shares to the person offering to buy them? His hypocrisy is glaring.
The Real Reason Behind Soludo’s Attacks: Political Sycophancy
Soludo’s obsession with attacking Peter Obi is not driven by genuine concern for Anambra State but by his ambition to curry favor with President Bola Tinubu and the APC. His goal is simple: position himself as a loyal opposition voice in the South-East, hoping that Tinubu will reward him with a future presidential ticket.
However, history has shown that sycophants rarely reap lasting rewards. Soludo’s desperation to please Abuja at the expense of truth and good governance will only diminish his credibility. Anambra people and Nigerians at large are watching—they see through his lies and recognize Peter Obi’s legacy of prudence and development.
Soludo’s Mission Will Fail
Soludo’s hatred for Peter Obi is unhealthy and unbecoming of a leader. Instead of focusing on governance, he spends his time fabricating lies against Peter Obi. Unfortunately for Soludo, no amount of propaganda can erase Obi’s legacy.
At the end of the day, Soludo’s sycophancy will bear no fruit. History will remember Peter Obi as a visionary leader and Soludo as a bitter critic who traded his academic integrity for political opportunism. I learnt the hatred actually started when obi denied him apga governorship nomination ticket in 2014 don't know how true is this |

DeLaRue: You can't declare a shadow cabinet in a Presidential system of government.
In a Presidential system of government, you are effectively declaring an alternative government, and setting a terrible precedent which can lead to chaos.
Next thing, you'll have this being replicated at State level by some other people.
This man knows exactly what he's doing. He is trying to create anarchy. He wants to be arrested for treason so he can raise his profile and claim he is fighting for the people.
Must the words 'shadow cabinet' appear in the name of the organisation you're setting up.
Could he try this under a past military government He would not even try it with a President of Northern extraction. Where was he during Mr Buhari's government.
If you don't like a government, fine. Oppose it, but do so responsibly, without trying to forment chaos.
To make matters worse, Mr Utomi has a very poor record of managing anything. He was MD of Volkswagen Nigeria, but he ran the company aground. Yet, you see him everywhere pontificating like he is the only one who knows the solution to Nigeria's problems. He didn't say the shadow cabinet is taking over functions of the tinibu's govt that's only when he can be convicted of committing treasonable felony the man is a professor he definitely knows what he is doing. |
