This is purely an initiative of the south easterners the major funding is going to come from the 5 states in the south east and private investors the apc federal govt excluded the south east in nigeria's original gas pipeline masterplan despite the south east having very huge deposits of gas. The only connection the federal govt has in this project is just through the sedc.
