Politics › Re: Just Discovered That Anambra Has Several Inhabited Islands On The River Niger by Mrexcell(m): 11:05pm On Jul 04, 2024 |
Ever8090: I think he is right, I did a school project in one of those community, "Owelle and Inoma, I hope I got those spelling right...there local government headquarters is in a town called Nzam...they are actually Igala but they do claim Igbo and I used to laugh them for that how I noticed that they are originally Igala is because, their older men and women answers Igala native names, but the younger ones answers Igbo names and speaks Igbo fluently. They have that chronic Igala tongue.
During raining season, you can't access those villages by road, they use boat to Onitsha, and you can use boat and get to a town in Delta state across the river Niger and find your way to Asaba.
I wish those people are allowed to live their peaceful life the way they are, they are very happy and healthy, they lack nothing and are far better off tjan those living in developed towns...I never locked my door even at night,.the day they had a festival and some guys came fron Asaba and mixed up them, that was the night o lost my android phone the suspect was an Igala boy who was an idiotic migrant. When the news got to the ears of the igwe, to my suprise they did a town cry and announced that that phone should be returned because it belongs to a stranger.....but it was never returned anyway...
they farm yam, pepper, rice and they have a lot of ogbono trees....they have soo much fish, and those people are in fact the most hospitable people after the people of benue state where I come from . They are soo nice that after my project ended, I felt like not leaving the village.
They have farming camps far away from their settlements, life in those camps is something if you experience you will never want to leave the place.
Seriously, if I get money, I am going back to that place to visit some friends I made among them
I have never seen such hospitality in my life before, the day I left the village, I was shedding tears as old as I am😁
When I got back to port Harcourt, it took me time before I stopped wishing that I shouldn't have left the place.
Unfortunately, the contractor I worked for ate my money to the tune of 1,167,400...... Over a million that was all I worked for ...
I must visit that place again and this time I pray God bless me financially so that I can show a lot of people love in that town, may God bless them and keep them safe ... I understand the kind of peace u are talking about I too have experienced it too while travelling to work in some villages years ago but civilisation and development is something no one can actually stop. |

Max24: Why is Tinubu building hospital in Abia? Does it mean we don't need more hospitals again in Lagos or other SW states. The other day they started building the Renewed Hope housing units in the same Abia. For people that don't appreciate it and will never appreciate anything. Despite creating an enabling environment for them to prosper in Lagos they still abuse you. I advice Mr. President to please change course. Let Obi use his money to build hospital for them. Is tinibu #1 in the money used in executing any project in south east? Igboland deserves far more projects than what the federal govt is currently giving them cause the region produces oil and gas for nigeria. |

One of the speakers is representing Rotimi Amaechi, same Amaechi that said he's Igbo.
These folks are suffering from identity crisis.
Former secretary of Ohanaeze Uche Okwukwu who is from Ikwerrre agrees that Ikwerrre people are Igbo. https://punchng.com/ikwerre-are-igbo-ex-ohanaeze-sec-gen/ Very confused people the funny thing here is the bini kingdom is yet to even recognise them as descendants of bini kingdom. |

fergie001: In all the cases highlighted, the High Court ruled just like this high Court.
Surprisingly, the same Judge, Ekwo delivered a similar ruling on same party delegates matter in 2022, also in Edo. The Appeal Court and later the Supreme Court nullified it. Let's watch and see how it will end I don't trust the nigerian judiciary they are capable of anything. |

fergie001: Stay of Execution loading....... Will definitely not stand.
We have seen it all before!
This case stands on all fours with George Orlu & 4 Ors v Cole & Ors: it was an APC tussle between Abe & Cole on delegates list.
No 1: This Ward Delegates whatever held on Feb 4 , the plaintiffs filed on Feb 8. They did not exhaust the internal party mechanism to settle the crisis.
No 2: This is a pre-primary election and the Court lacks the jurisdiction to adjudicate on the matter.
The Supreme Court has held this position many times, more recently in the Orbih faction case v Obaseki case in 2023.
No 3: These persons are not aspiramts so they did not participate in the election. Only aspirants can sue. The ward delegates election is a process leading to the Primaries hence only those who are contesting can sue.
The plaintiffs possess no legal rights to approach the courts on this matter. See George Udom v Umo Eno
No 4: On their own choosing, the plaintiffs refuse to participate in the Congress. If they were barred, was there any police report to show? See SC in Onyebuchi Chukwu v Dave Umahi I really appreciate your input but we all know under this tinibu's apc state capture anything is very possible the supreme Court might just decide not to look at all these facts u have elaborated above and give their judgement in favour of those pdp members who are obviously working for the apc in disguise. |

Anioma, Etiti and another one which I cant even remember, why cant those involved, affected by this new state creation whether by region or politics agree on just one single state which should be in SE .
Everything no be about politics oo. Equity and justice should give SE one additional state. People are free to make their proposals but at the end of the day the nass and the federal govt will definitely decide which new state is more viable and less controversial for creation. |

I'm Igbo an I believe if he doesn't have higher destiny then he would have been dead and killed long ago.
They could have easily killed him in Kenya or Gave him the Abiola treatment but something greater prevented all that from happening.
Make we the watch sha You are absolutely correct nmk is definitely destiny to fullfil upon all what he did to the nigerian state he is still alive and unshaken in the front of his greatest enemies. IkeOnyia: One of the clauses that will surely be rejected by the states houses of assembly is transferring the responsibility of conducting local government elections from SIECs to INEC. Those SIECs were created by the houses of assembly in the first place and it will seem like oppression on them for the National Assembly to strip them of that power of oversight. State governors won't be comfortable with that section of the bill cause they know that inec which is not yet independent can easily be used to rig the local govt elections in their states. |

Politics › Re: No Be Only Igbos Hate Tinubu We Plenty For Rivers State Wey Hate Am by Mrexcell(m): 4:15pm On Jul 03, 2024 |
WizardOfNG: Precisely. Tinubu is elevating the SS, even to the detriment of the North, like no other President before him. First non-Northern FCT Minister is from the SS and doing well.
Akpabio is Senate President and from the SS. Tinubu fought to get and keep him in that position.
All this means the SS, if they consolidate on their burgeoning profile, may produce the next Southern President in future ahead of Igbos.
Why would any proper and intelligent SS person then feel the need to declare public hatred for Tinubu they should be pragmatically working with?
For smart and logical people, which excludes Igbos, politics is not about love, hate or permanent toxicity.
It is about productive alliances towards fulfillment of permanent interests. We know those who reject that to stick with politics of hate they have been practicing from time immemorial.
Same as we all know who the hateful, bitter and irredeemable ingrates of Nigeria are, always ready to cut their nose to spite their face, to accept it is not SS folks. You guys really love to believe ur barefaced lies and propaganda how can any sensible yoruba person say south east plays bitter politics when the world clearly saw what happened in lagos last year during the presidential and state elections? The world never saw igbos depriving yorubas in Igboland of their constitutional rights to vote and be voted for yet u guys still shamelessly believed that u guys are the ones more civilised and playing more decent politics. Igbos has voted for northerners and westerners in the past yet some yorubas like u still try very hard to label them as playing bitter hateful politics we are yet to see the north and west replicating that gestures apart from recently in lagos where obi won due to it's cosmopolitan nature only God will really judge yoruba bigots like you. |
