Don't mind them there was p2p crypto transactions during the administrations of obj, yaradua and gej yet the naira wasn't devalued like we are seeing right now. |

If you don’t have tangible thing you’re doing to match your social life be ready to be invited for questioning What about submitting fake social media handles to the banks? |

Politics › Re: 36 Assembly Speakers Endorse State Police by Mrexcell(m): 9:34am On May 17, 2024 |
Mayeldah: State police is welcomed
At least to fight Fulani terrorists and bandits without interference from Abuja.
Reason Fulani bandits can kill and kidnap without a corresponding response from the police is because Abuja police hq is controlled by Fulanis in the corridors of government. Forget Egbetokun is Yoruba, he is a stooge of the Fulanis. Even Tinubu is a stooge of the Fulanis.
If I control policing in my state, I can deploy the police efficiently to curb crime without any political interference.
Crime in Nigeria is mostly state sponsored. Very true many nigerian youths will now be encouraged to join their state police because the fear of being posted to sambisa forest to fight bokoharam will no longer be there anymore. Ametukun, ebubeagu and other local state vigilante outfits will all now be submerged into their various state police. |
Politics › Re: 36 Assembly Speakers Endorse State Police by Mrexcell(m): 9:25am On May 17, 2024 |
Kobicove: I don't care who endorses this idea, personally speaking I do not support having state police in Nigeria
Here on Nairaland some people can't have a difference of opinion without dragging tribe into it, imagine what would now happen if two people from different tribes have a disagreement and the matter is taken to the state police of one of the parties, their is no way the judgement will be fair.
Some states in Nigeria are not economically viable and are struggling to pay basic salaries of their existing staff, you now want to add the burden of paying salaries of state policemen.
During elections it means the incumbent state governor can use apparatus of state police to rig and witchhunt the opposition, and he will succeed since the commissioner for police in the state will dance to the governor's tune since he appointed him!
The problems this thing would create are just too many! If nigeria is not ripe for state police then nigeria is not also ripe for either independence or even restructuring. The advantages of state police outweighs the disadvantages imagine a situation where fulaniherdsmen will be killing and sacking innocent people in their own communities but the state governor can't do absolutely nothing because he doesn't have the constitutional powers to order his commissioner of police to go after the foreign fulani invaders we have seen this happen in enugu, benue and other states. |

Nice one from the speakers I don't expect any IGP to support state police because they know they will loose their huge federal allocations which they most times embezzle and also loose their federal influence over states. |

Curious345: Very true .
During the incompetent Buhari days , a guy was arrested for directly funding bandits and Boko haram.to the tune of over a billion USD..
The story died ,just like that ..
Then another man , a Fulani from Niger Republic ,collected $450m from the Nigerian army to supply them with weapons and eloped with the entire sum. Till this day This apc govt don't have what it takes to fight terrorism you can't give what you don't have. |

Namaster: I am 100% convinced that fhis guy is secretly DUMBER than a truckload of bricks.
The worst part is he assumes everybody is as dumb as he is.
First of all, he definitely does NOT have a friend who is the Assistant Director of the FBI. An airhead like this guy would have namedropped him like 20 times instead of something vague like "a friend of mine".
Plus, the Assistant Director of the FBI would know that it's completely IMPOSSIBLE to track any Dollar notes. That's why criminals like drug dealers do deals in CASH.
They merely have SECURITY features to make them recognisable as genuine and not counterfeit. And the Naira notes have similar features.
This guy is always so eager to spew LAMBACIOUS shiiits and exaggerate mediocrity.
He's the same guy that the EXCITEDLY held a press conference about how a 17-year old Yahoo boy got his BVN from his phone number.
This guy does NOT know what he's doing. But that's okay because he fits right in with the rest of Tinubu's appointees. Maybe the US government has found a way to implant electronic chips in their currencies. |

“I have been to the National Assembly, I can’t say because we are on TV now and not telling the truth. If the death penalty is supposed to be included in corruption, I will support it but you don’t go and kill someone that stole one million or one billion, no. But someone who steals one trillion of government money should be killed“
I can’t believe what this dishonorable Honorable said. Because they are politicians, they can steal billions, and because they give the hundreds of the billions they stole to the people, they should not be prosecuted but be exempted from the law. Unfortunately, these are the people making laws or ratifying laws, how will they not exempt themselves. National Assembly should be abolished. #EndNationalAssembly# for the good of Nigerians Very pathetic the looted money the politicians shares to the people is not even up to 5% of their total loots. |

Why are nigerians trafficking drugs is it not because of lack of employment and the difficult economic situation they find themselves in mostly caused by the senseless looting of nigeria's common wealth by corrupt nigerian politicians? If all drug traffickers are killed our president won't have gotten the second chance to be president today. |
